so you have mentioned at least 11 times on this thread already. Nobody believes you and you got a guess wrong. Deal with it. I will do you a favour tho Daz, I will ask CVS if Schlein was being seriously considered at the pre season talk in in March and will post his honest answer. We know he was being considered on that average but Adam was always favourite for the job - as has been expected with the news today. I agree, clarity would be a transparent explanation! I'm still laughing at your prediction gone wrong excuses still.
-
Neither entitled tho are they? Thought it was only for 3 years after leaving the NL was the new rule??
-
CVS confirmed his average was reassessed but didn't say why. I'm happy it's Adam and when you look at other possible combinations and riders available to me if sics no brainer. yet to be convinced by Greaves and I agree away from home an iffy bottom 3. We all knew it was total nonsense and thankfully it's been confirmed. Thanks Daz.

Birmingham Brummies 2017 Hat Trick
stevebrum replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in National League Speedway
That was certainly my thinking. The success story is always built on great reserves and Birmingham have been blessed for 2 seasons. I can't really see any brand new 3 pointers that will match the same impact as the previous 2 seasons. That said I've great memories of watching the developing careers of 3 greats riders for the future. Part of the appeal of the NL to me is watching the kids develop. Time will tell if I get 3 years of new talent on the trot! -
It's irrelevant whether you believe it or not. Do you go to much of the amateur scene racing? ? It's a vibrant scene with plenty going on a regular basis. I know, I do too. Only today over 30 riders were at Scunthorpe with 65 races in the winter series. Besides the handful of established NL standard riders the rest are pure amateurs with a handful still looking for openings and the rest have little to no chance. I should know, I'm one of them. You get plenty amateurs turn up for practice sessions all thru the country all year long. There are probably double as many amateurs as there are professional riders throughout the country. Most won't get a ride in a team, but thankfully a handful will. I have the pleasure of watching them on a regular basis. So like I said for a fact, most amateurs won't get close to a team place.
-
they can't and many don't get remotely close if you look at the amateur scene. Very few actually reach that ability. Someone on her?? On dear, poor choice of words or spelling. Another who gets the quotes wrong. For clarity the quote was 'had the potential to be world champion'. You would have to be a little daft to not see the difference.

Birmingham Brummies 2017 Hat Trick

Looking good so far. Where are the best new things going next year? -
I was just being PC but i agree 100% with yours!
-
Well said. He would be first name down year after year for any team I supported. Pure joy to watch and what a talent, and BRITISH!! You only have to look at his World U21 final results to see he is good enough to be classed as potentially world class. His improvement has been excellent season on season too.
-
So why aren't the riders rebelling?? CVS already said he expects it to be investigated and quashed. That said, until then none of the top boys will go against the Polish authorities. You know it and I know. At least we agree that it's totally illegal what the Poles are doing. Just a shame none of the boys will stand up to them tho.
-
It wouldn't surprise me at all if Schlein is being considered, particularly given the top flight would have priority as a kings Lynn asset. Personally give me Skornicki 100 times over if it's a straight one or the other. It's clear there are several options being considered.
-
Wrong Steve. It's 2 nations plus your own. Aussies exempt. It's not an option for Niels to drop Denmark for UK.
-
It's here old bob http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=83090
-
It isn't. You appear the only person mentioning it. Can't say I have read anything about this anywhere.
-
CVS said exactly the same thing 2 weeks ago.
-
Don't you read?? I agree he got told no. Dear oh dear, almost as ridiculous as your KK committed to British speedway comment. That's the 3 times sacked committed rider you mean? It's fine to have a different opinion so no issue.
-
So either your national title is something to be proud of or you can pick and choose to suit. You can't defend the one and not the other. Can you name me where I have defended Tai's request for a testimonial??? Here is a clue, you won't find one. Yet again another theory of yours smashed. The Oz riders not going home to ride for their national title is no different to Tai choosing not to ride in his national championship either. You can find excuses why but they aren't different.
-
So Holder, Doyle, Ward (prior to injury), Batch and all the top Oz riders of recent years go home EVERY year for the annual national title. Greg dont compete in American title anymore, nor Tai in UK. There is no difference. Next? If you want Tai to ride every year in British Final then I assume you expect the same of Holder in Oz. Tell me, how is Holder getting on in the Oz titles? Or is he doing exactly the same as Tai in 2016? Perhaps you have a response to this?
-
Thanks for the info. Looking good for the Stars in 2016.
-
Correct. Everyone rides on paper .......until March.
-
Does Greg ride in the American national championships every year? Do all the Oz riders go home to compete in their national titles? Just as prestigious as the British title don't you think? As already stated I'd prefer Tai to ride in the UK over other leagues but like virtually every top rider they go where the money is. Little to gain for Tai racing in a weakened league and it's a disgrace the top flight has become as poor as if has. Tai not riding here is another chance for the haters to hate. Don't you remember the dreadful side the Russians put out a few seasons ago when not one of the top boys rode over here?
-
Emil and the Laguta brothers did it regular. Think you class them as world class. Think their protest was something to do with lack of support by its national body, sounds familiar doesn't it!?
-
http://speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.22534 didn't have a British club at the time either. Sounds familiar doesn't it?? that was the original date, think it was postponed and rerun the following year??
-
 Are you seriously trying to suggest that those who go to Cardiff have no idea what goes on in speedway and only the folks on BSF hold him in scant regard?? Completely laughable Steve. The majority of British fans will forgive him anything because his is the golden boy of British Speedway. They are just as entitled to that opinion as you or I or the the Tai hating troll. then there are the savvy British speedway fans who believe that everything about his actions are wrong and everyone needs to follow their lead. The BSF is a tiny representation of speedway fans opinions. It does not represent the majority in any form. Again, that's to do with the ridiculous expectation of the BSPA from the previous season. You are going to have to do better than that. We all know the multi poster and Shov are 2 of the biggest anti Tai brigade. This is just another attempt to try put him down. Like you say I haven't yet read ONE supporting post for him to have a testimonial so I've no idea why some still want to go over old ground on other issues. I haven't read one on here although plenty of support on social media which again proves the point that here is a tiny representation of views not as Shovlar suggests a majority. I'm still outraged that the poorly committed Pole Kasprzak even got one who doesn't qualify by 10 years service either!
