So either your national title is something to be proud of or you can pick and choose to suit. You can't defend the one and not the other. The Oz riders not going home to ride for their national title is no different to Tai choosing not to ride in his national championship either. You can find excuses why but they aren't different.

So Holder, Doyle, Ward (prior to injury), Batch and all the top Oz riders of recent years go home EVERY year for the annual national title. Greg dont compete in American title anymore, nor Tai in UK. There is no difference. Next? If you want Tai to ride every year in British Final then I assume you expect the same of Holder in Oz. Tell me, how is Holder getting on in the Oz titles? Or is he doing exactly the same as Tai in 2016? Perhaps you have a response to this?

Does Greg ride in the American national championships every year? Do all the Oz riders go home to compete in their national titles? Just as prestigious as the British title don't you think? As already stated I'd prefer Tai to ride in the UK over other leagues but like virtually every top rider they go where the money is. Little to gain for Tai racing in a weakened league and it's a disgrace the top flight has become as poor as if has. Tai not riding here is another chance for the haters to hate. Don't you remember the dreadful side the Russians put out a few seasons ago when not one of the top boys rode over here?

Emil and the Laguta brothers did it regular. Think you class them as world class. Think their protest was something to do with lack of support by its national body, sounds familiar doesn't it!?

The BSF is a tiny representation of speedway fans opinions. It does not represent the majority in any form. Again, that's to do with the ridiculous expectation of the BSPA from the previous season. Like you say I haven't yet read ONE supporting post for him to have a testimonial so I've no idea why some still want to go over old ground on other issues. No I'm not. I think I'm pretty clear where I stand on Tai. The request for a testimonial is barmy. I'm disappointed that Tai has chosen not to ride for team GB but like Lee Richardson and Scott Nicholls before him he is making a stand. His reasons are no different to either Lee or Scott. As for not riding in the UK, I'd rather he did of course however I'd rather Greg, Nicki P, Emil et Al were riding here as well. Tai has no different reasons to any of those mentioned or suggested. So don't try and suggest I'm saying something that I'm clearly not.

yes we are ALL United on this rather bizarre request from Tai. Including me. I still maintain that Tai will have the biggest cheer at Cardiff. Feel free to quote me if I'm wrong. It was belle Vue fans booing him, nothing more nothing less.

Nan Joannie Taylor. I don't know how we came from a fairly friendly amicable forum to one filled with bile to some. It seems the fun has been replaced with attack and the multi aliased posters. Sad really. There are some really good knowledgeable decent constructive posters around however many threads are spoilt with "my club/track/team is better than yours".

It's certainly going to be interesting seeing what new talent is unearthed in 2017. Personally hoping Hume and Smith are back tho. Plus Bacon if he can be fitted in.

Excellent start but predictable top heavy which served no purpose in 2015. The lower end will be key again. But definitely agree good signings so far.
