  1. The race format was the same in 2014 as it was in 2016, and 2015 for that matter.
  2. Absolutely valid CMA.No one can argue he got better as the year he rode as world champion. He had a poor 2014 in the UK. Just because it doesn't suit some posters point of view it doesn't make the average wrong. One could argue that several riders are on false averages for one reason or another (injury/loss of form/etc), it doesn't mean their average weren't earned. You could of course re-grade every single rider based on what they should be and obviously that would be silly. A bit like some moaning at Tai using his valid average. Of course the sensible thing for the BSPA to do is to regrade any rider missing a complete season out of the UK. But of course our governing body don't do sensible!
  3. Tom definetly improved whilst Georgie was also impressive on the limited times I saw him. Not sure either are good enough for a top flight number 7 spot tho but hope they get a PL spot. Both have certainly got better this year.
  4. Not that much difference personally , Shanes is 2nd in average of those 4. Having watched the Birmingham team all season at this stage I'd personally put Shanes at the top of those at this stage of their careers. Zack was nowhere near as effective as 2015 whilst Shanes added nearly a point. If I was to put them in order of who I'd want at my top flight club as a 2 pointer for potential I'd go with. JPB Jack Smith Shanes Hume Zack
  5. 3rd tier clubs aren't allowed to own assets.
  6. Agreed but just goes to show how exciting he was to achieve an average of 8.53 without making many gates!
  7. Fixtures clashes are key for all the riders irregardless if they are number one or number 7 because sometimes a guest can make you stronger however in the most it is likely to be someone weaker as a replacement. There are quite a few 2 pointers equally as good as Shanes but hopefully the clashes can be kept to a minimum.
  8. Great to see Poole taking a chance on Shanes. One of the most exciting national league riders and a joy to watch IMHO. Gating will be exposed at this level however another of the next breed of promising riders.
  9. Don't mention the G word, it's gone strangely quiet thank god.
  10. http://www.wolverhamptonwolves.co/news.php?extend.2621 Thorssell signing number 2.
  11. I thought it was clear for a change however we all know that those rules can be bended if needed as per usual.
  12. Yea I get what you are saying. It's just open to abuse if you are allowed to use an average from a season or 2 ago IMHO.
  13. I fail to see the relevance. He didn't have a PL average in 2016 which is the only qualifying need?
  14. I can't think of another rider that has come out of a 2 year retirement and stayed on same top flight average other than Todd Wiltshire.
  15. he is, he mentioned it in the last wolves programme this year but preferably at div 2 level. I agree it's risky but I hope someone takes a chance. Big difference tho. He hasn't ridden at all in 2 seasons. Injury has prevented that along with his Polish manager commitments. A bit different no? Too risky on 9.3 for any top flight team.
  16. I found one from 2014 of 6.66 as his outgoing average from Birmingham so I'm assuming that is the last valid one? A reassessment surely is needed that's one figure for fairness because that would still work out to 9.3. I hope Sqora isn't averaged out of racing here.
  17. But it would still be subject to X 1.4 ?
  18. That's ok, so long as you aren't one of those Poole fans who tries to ruin every thread it isn't a problem. Plus thankfully the majority of Poole fans are sensible. (Just 2 or 3 exceptions). Anyway let's give the Stars fans their thread back.
  19. I was referring to KK being at Kings Lynn however no dispute regards him in a Poole jacket. It's almost the only time you see the real KK.
  20. Not sure he is even in our plans but I'd like to think any team planning to give him a go would ask for a reduction. Thorssell I'd imagine next.
  21. Couldn't agree more. KK is in no way the same class and standard as Holder. Has been a regular meeting misser in the UK for several seasons now and besides his one year of finishing 2nd in the world has always been an inconsistent rider. You maybe would save a point when compiling your team and although he had a pretty decent season for the Bees you still wouldn't know which KK you would get from match to match. Holder every time.
  22. It's not like he just missed 2 seasons in the UK, he hasn't ridden at all for 2 seasons. Not sure if that would affect the ruling.
  23. No surprise to see Kennett back at Rye. Certainly are becoming the bench mark club for others to compare too due to them being the team to sign the most riders so far!
  24. Another day another thread ruined by a troll.
