If his Polish and Swedish teams aren't in contention of course.

Plus of course the number one is a no go. And that's even less likely now with the cut off date of 31st July .

Most In-demand Riders For The 2017 Season
stevebrum replied to poolebolton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Is that an 8 man team? -
Tai I reckon would ride for any team if it suited his schedule and availability. However he won't ride for anyone for a full season.
-
On his PL average he must be being considered?
-
Disagree. Teams are built 10 points higher in the top league. Comfortable top flight wins home and away.
-
As usual there is the claim that teams strengths are much more even over the 2 leagues. The outcome will always be the same. The top level team is always much stronger than the lower level one. The worst top level team will still beat the best of the lower level.
-
Have I really just read a team with Woffy included?
-
in the domain of the PL were it should have started in the first place. I put that very question to CVS at the talk in and he suggested that if the weather was an issue then it would affect all clubs and leagues. But we already know that gerhards are already cost effective with way less spent on tuning and the like. Great move to try and make our league also more cost effective.
-
gotta say I pretty much agree. I fail to see why Ellis choose the NL instead of the PL but I think he would have done pretty well as its clear riding NL hasn't held back his progress. Sadly we will never know what his PL average would have been. But when you compare it to other EDR PL averages it seems fair. Perhaps you think Ellis should be a 2 point average because he doesn't have a PL average maybe? Compare his current average to the other EDR PL averages and I think it's fair. Ellis proved this season he can hold his own in the EL. I'd be happy if Wolves signed him personally. You obviously don't feel he is good enough to be in the starting 1-5 on that average (or is that more to do with Poole not being able to use him and Kyle again?).

I hope Freddie is back, particularly if the league is looking to use gerhard engines as Freddie is already well advanced.

Most In-demand Riders For The 2017 Season
stevebrum replied to poolebolton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'd be convinced Adam will get an EL place next year, he has more than proved his worth. Just wish he had taken the tougher route of PL over NL tho. Either way it hasn't hindered him. -
We will find out end of week.
-
The strongest league.
-
But they are still running.
-
They are running. Not EL according to the statement. That's definetly a shock.

We have no idea what his or any of the EDR riders will end up on in 2017. -

Nobody knows what the averages for the EDR's next season will. To much speculation on what they should be, will be, PL conversion or not. One can only imagine that the reason to allow EDR riders to move up into the main body is to test their ability to mix it in the main body which several have proven to be able to do. One must believe there was a contingency plan to follow for next season ??? Back in the real world however the EDR averages (assuming they are retained) will be whatever the BSPA and promoters want them to be. Hopefully some clarity on it will be more evident after next week's AGM. -
A very patronising point of view. So all those who voted to stay voted because they knew precisely what they were voting on? There was equally as many blind voters to stay as there were that wanted out. Both sets had their reasons I'm sure but one is no better than the other. The stays don't have the majority view, that's why we have public votes on such important issues. Not everyone who voted knew the economical reasons and ramifications for both sides. To discredit one side and not the other is very blinkered in the extreme.
-
I for one am a proud EL snob, but not a blinkered one. We DO need some of the top boys over here otherwise we become a glorified 2nd division nation. There isn't one credible nation (Australia exempt and USA ignored as they have no credibility after the world cup fiasco) that doesn't have a credible top level of racing. And we need that. Just how do those aspiring to move up the ladder when they have no real competition to push them? Poland and Sweden hardly touch British riders now so will have zero chance with no top flight to compete in. I watch all levels of racing and have had the pleasure of watching the youngest team in the country win the national league this week. Great to watch development happening however as I don't pay to watch that standard of racing (as staff) it isn't something I choose to watch on any regular basis. why? Because the standard of racing isn't as good pure and simple. Don't think I'm dissing the NL, as I'm far from it. It's just about preference. A PL standard EL will see further fans lost to the sport on any regular basis. Yet this is the way to go??? Beyond crazy. Always has been, always will be unless they alter that. Leicester would have likely won the PL with that side. Which says more about you than those with reasons to leave.

Not compared to Lindgren no. Yes I saw his 7 points in the play offs when he guested. Did you?
-
Disagree. Harris isn't a number one at Monmore whilst Freddie is there. Lindgren, Thorsell and Masters over Harris thanks.
-
only for the first 2 months of the season. I haven't fully looked at SCB's averages but Harris as a heat leader would be number one choice for the majority of clubs.
-
Why Lindgren to a lesser extent? He has ridden here every season bar one.
