So Who Is Going To Win The El In 2016?
stevebrum replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
All sounds exciting. And the run up to the play offs with places still at stake will generate even more interest. Long live the play offs! -
we know why, it's called attention seeking. It's ended as far as I'm concerned. You had your conversation, no one is saying you didn't. Let's enjoy the Wolves asset while he is here. Jog on.

Maybe those thoughts might be reflected by the governing bodies in time. Also riders who have a Swedish or polish average higher than 7 should also automatically have their EL average converted to minimum 8 to ensure no class riders get used on false EL averages including the likes of THJ who gets wheeled out from time to time on a low 5+. These are easy to implement I'd imagine so long as some promoters don't complain they may lose the use of a valuable 'ringer'.
-
And you would be saying completely the opposite if he had signed for Poole for certain. The rules on this are crystal clear. Tai has a valid average. The rules state you have to have 3 seasons out to get re-assessed. Tai has had less the 2 seasons out. No question. I can only imagine if KK had ridden here last year and dropped his average considerably (in line with his 2015 Polish and Swedish) to say about 5 and Poole wanted to use him on that average this season. It would be fair to expect him to be re-assessed to 8 then??? Poole would rightly be able to profit of that average under the current rules and there may be an argument that the ruling is wrong. Honest answer please, would you be happy to use a GP standard rider on a 5 point average?

We thought the same in 2014 but we all know what happened there. Whilst the hype is warranted about Tai coming back to boost my club and the league and sport as a whole I still have memories of that dreadful season and think there is a hint that unless he is 100% committed we may have 50% like in 2014. Hopefully this short spell we will see the real Tai, not the pale imitation of 2014. I'm taking nothing for granted yet!

I've removed the other guff to get to the point. There is no fact. You say you spoke to Woffy in the presence of Masters. That is your fact. What you were told is not fact.It WILL be fact IF what he told you becomes true. Until then it's just words which as we all know are rarely truthful just a rider telling a fan what they want to hear. No doubt you will reply with more guff in an attempt to add (and fail) credence to the debate. I called your story Jackanory much in the same way that what Harris and Garrity said was equally so. I'm sure you will dissect and re-explain to try and reinvent again. Perhaps you could find something else productive to fill your time with? Just a thought.

It was never in question. You made some big noise about some conversation you had in the presence of Sam Masters. No doubt he will be an Ace for the 2017 season. Safrican american.

Check how many updates I've done this year for your answer.

They are all economic with the truth, even Poole promotion and riders!
-
Well said.
-
that's the spirit , keep telling yourself that. I'm referring to an interview he gave on the centre green to the fans. And we are happy with what he is saying
-
Don't you get it?? Even if he said it ,( I don't care if he did or didn't anyway why would I? ) it doesn't mean it has any realistic chance of happening. I told you Bomber said to me he was considering riding for Wolves, has he ever signed for us?? Enough said. It's a little sad you are hanging onto a conversation as some sort of gospel. Do you honestly believe he will ride for a Friday night track Belle Vue next season considering he has said he won't do a full season again in the EL?? Let's see who has egg on their face in March when Woffy apparently lines up for the Aces for the 2017 season.
-
Jackanory story. Tai has no interest in racing in the UK for a full season. Not quite sure you get that. My point was riders tell the fans what they want to hear. of course if you had a conversation with tai and you are quoting it as fact then it don't get any weirder. But of course Tai will be riding for Belle Vue next season because he told you. Guess you won't look a fool if that happens next season but until then........ Back in the real world Tai signs for his parent club and only EL club he wants to ride for, and won't be back for a full season next year with anyone. Keep telling yourself you have a valid argument.
-
I remember Garrity saying he would love to ride for wolves and watch out next season 2 seasons ago.....then sign for Coventry lolThe riders will tell you want they want you to hear. Bomber told me he loved riding at Wolves and said 'let's see' when asked if he might ride for us the following year. I'd have been a fool to believe him! You would have to be totally gullible to quote it as a fact that they will sign for you.
-
Of course, but you know I'm right.
-
cough cough Hancock, Pedersen, THJ. perhaps. However if you read his tweets he seems to understand the reason and even goes as far as saying he hopes he is back next season. no rule broken. Perhaps you are new to speedway? Comedy post of the day. The 2014 World Champion Wolf has really improved since then. I really need a lie down after the bellyaches I've seen this morning.
-
I have yet to see a credible story linking Tai to another club. perhaps if I did it might make me think twice. Riding for his parent club who have lead the table a large part of the season really is 2nd best isn't it, more comedy gold. Oh I see. Not believing a riders statement is less believable than a fan making a claim with no back up other than a comment he makes during the world cup? so you believe that word but not the press statement?? selective opinion at best. some speedway fans really make me chuckle so thanks for that.
-
Of course. I suggest you follow wolves official for the news. http://www.wolverhamptonwolves.co/news.php?extend.2550 Comedy post of the day. And it mentions nothing about being spoken to by Belle Vue. Because it didn't happen. Lol
-
http://www.wolverhamptonwolves.co/news.php?extend.2550 " if I was going to ride again in Britain then it was always going to be for my parent club." In Tai's own words.
-
I didn't forget anything. The play offs are a success. Any promoter will tell you that. You can try piddle on it from a great height because you don't like them but that's irrelevant. They are big time speedway meetings. You would have to be blind to not see that , or a hater.

my post was in reply to a Wolves Belle Vue final. In other words picking your meetings to suit. -

And have the better of us 3 out of 4 meetings . They would be huge favourites over 2 legs as well. -
I am, cuz it's true. Happy for you to prove me wrong of course. It won't happen tho.
-
Of course it's his preferred choice.
