  1. Costs are known to be higher in the EL, yet you dispute that. I'm not known for thinking nothing of the PL at, that is in your own opinion. I make no excuse for being an EL snob. However I watch racing at ALL levels - EL,PL, NL, Development, Amateur. Do you so you have an equally rounded opinion also? I argue with the PL snobs who say their league is better. It isn't. It's what ever you prefer. I have seen superb action and meetings in all leagues and equally plenty of shockers. I seem to see more average PL meetings so I can only base my opinion on what I see. I'm a fan of Speedway so your claim that I'm 'blinkered' is wide of the mark if you actually read widely. You have already said you are basing your opinion on which racing is better which wasn't the point I was discussing so I suggest we are wasting each others time trying to debate the issue any further. Otherwise do not make up lies to suit your argument. Have you read this tellboy?

  3. And given just how rubbish/brilliant the Robins have been this season in equal measures I'm amazed any fan believes that this home meeting (or any home match) is a banker from now on!
  4. Costs are way higher in the EL. So as the PL charges only a few pounds less than the EL they are likely to be making much more money so the EL is the least cost effective league. The PL therefore is the rip off league compared to the EL/NL. The standard of racing has nothing to do with which league is the most cost productive/ rip off. Which league has better racing is subjective anyway but has no bearing on which league is the rip off.

  6. It's more expensive to run in the EL. Costs are higher, riders wages are higher and star riders costing more than PL riders so it makes sense that the EL is higher price to get in. Cost to run versus cost to attend is in more proportion than the PL.Given that the PL charges £1-3 less for significantly lower costs to run makes them the league that rips off the fans the most. You are confusing your view on standard of racing (if you believe the racing in the PL Is the same standard ) with the cost to run. So the PL Is the bigger rip off.

  11. Again, excellent idea. I'd say half price entry for those volunteering would be a good idea as can't imagine promoters would give free entry to a dozen people! Engaging with your public is the best way to get assistance.
  12. I have been asking CVS the covers question several times over the recent years and it's always the same response. They ARE the saviour however the point he makes is the reality. It takes man power to put them down and up and more than a hour each time . so if people really want them get your name down as a volunteer on a race night to try make this happen. If you don't want to do your bit on the day then there isn't enough volunteers at the majority of clubs for this to be possible. Let your club know you will offer to help out on the day (or day before) for this to ever become a reality of happening. Otherwise there is no point saying they will save meetings without the help of the speedway fraternity.
  13. Unlucky for the Hammers, they would have been looking for 4 points against a KK less side. Pressure now on Lakeside to get an away win after the Robins took 4 big ones last night.
  14. If the often disappearing KK can have one (disgrace he was allowed one) then Tai should have no issue.
  15. I must admit I thought that he didn't ride enough matches to make it a valid one. So at least 8 is fair anyway, and close!
  16. He has been out of British Speedway more than 3 seasons, thems the rules. A fairly assessed 8 seems okay to me.
  17. Really? Sorry for having an opinion you don't agree with more like! Disappointed to read this comment all the same although a very nice comment to end. May I just add I don't find our discussions futile at all.

  19. We already know the BSPA have had to be dragged screaming and kicking to assist the team GB effort, years of reluctance evidences this. Tai IMHO is making a point and it's usually a good one on evidence so far.

  21. don't necessarily agree that Bomber is all that big however he could learn from Tai regards diet plans and machinery prep. Also a valid point. I'd also add the BSPA could still talk to a dozen world class riders and probably end up still not doing enough. This is not a new phenomenon let's face it but they are doing more in the past 12 months but clearly not enough.
  22. Someone is lying, and my money is on it not being Tai! Tai has gained no benefit from competing in every year he has previously completed so it's nothing new. Clearly something has happened (or not likely to happen) to prompt this sudden announcement. Maybe that may become clear in the near future.
  23. Mmmmm Who do we believe? Tai who is proud to ride for his country and wants it to progress or a governing body and so called mouth piece who have failed to deliver what's been required for 15 years or more?? If it was all in place I see no logical reason why Tai would now choose to walk away. It defies any logic!
