Bell Vue V Wolves Friday 17th June
stevebrum replied to rainman's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thanks for the update and reassuring that the fight we have seen all season was at least in presence if not in score. The Aces really are the dogs wotsits this season. Looking forward to coming up for the B fixture, and hopefully play offs. -

One says a two man team, the other says 3 man. Think I will believe the person who actually attended. -

Total rubbish. RR for PK would have meant more rides for the reserves who were rubbish. It would have meant a near maximum from Masters to have got anything from tonight. Yes he is in good form but on paper Adams made the right move, no dispute. -

with Masters there we would have had to have run RR for PK instead. That would have made us even weaker. But proper speedway fans could see that. What about 2002 and 2009? We have won more titles in the past 20 years than all teams bar Poole and Coventry. A rubbish performance by all accounts however the Aces, with Poole, remain the teams still to beat. Would we have got more with Sam and PK? I'd like to think so but even with a weakened team tonight that was still poor. Howarth a huge disappointment. -

Hansen is guesting for PK. RR is for Masters. Hopefully he can make it now. -

If Masters is free to ride now I see no reason why he can't. Hopefully he will turn up to give us a fighting chance. -

Sick of this weather, hope it improves for the B fixture and we can take a full side. -
3 weeks ago however. But part of the reason why all British riders should be allowed to double up/down if they want to.

Wrong. He scored 13 for Holsterbro 3 weeks ago.

Bomber rides in Poland and Denmark doesn't he?

They must have changed the rules since Joe (cheating) Screen was allowed to use Wolves to get his average low enough to drop into the PL in the same season.

Future Of British Speedway?
stevebrum replied to Christopher Bcmma Cook's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'd be happy to. Provide me a league with top stars and I'd pay £20 easy and even £25 isn't too steep when you compare PL at 16/17 pounds they are the league that is grossly exaggerated. Plus also compare those costs against Football top flight racing is worth £20+ with the top boys here. You could argue that to stop the top PL boys riding in the EL PL supporters should put the money up to pay their wages also. -

Even the top boys aren't producing consistent double figure scores and that's due to the race format hence why we are getting grossly twisted averages. Time to scrap the format return to the previous one (current PL/NL one) and let riders get true averages like before. Even tho the rolling averages have helped cut out riders getting fake averages due to poor form it still gives no true reflection of form or true ability. -

Fair point and it's good to look on the bright side. The EL whilst the weakest it's probably ever been is still a strong league in comparison to the PL. Despite many over the recent seasons saying that the leagues are getting closer , and they have to an extent, EL teams remain much stronger as they should be - evidenced by inter league challenge matches when the EL side has usually won pretty comfortably. I agree it's unlikely we will see the top boys back but then I think not enough is being done to assist this becoming a possibility. Time will tell which way things will go however a league that takes out the big boys is of no interest to me personally. -

Harris and Jonsson ride in the GP's, Buczkowski has ridden for Poland in the World Cup. So they certainly DO come under that bracket. -

Kasprzak, Zagar, Harris, Jonsson, Nilsson, Iversen, Batchelor, Doyle, Holder, Buczkowski, Andersen, Lindgren. what is your point? If the point is not as many as 5 years ago then thanks for naming the obvious. -
He still only scored 4 points although I grant you he was worth more for effort.

Looking forward to watching that great young British rider Kacper Woryna in reserve for Coventry in their next meeting. The Bees really look after the next generation of Brits.
