  1. Three riders signed with Allsvenskan team Vargarna. http://www.vargarnaspeedway.se/forare/fagerkrantz-broberg-och-stark-klara-for-vargarna-2017/
  2. Pretty quiet on the signing front at the moment but it is till another 4 week until the squad declarations are due. Some top names like Nicki P, G. Laguta, N-K Iversen, Piotr Pawlicki and Matej Zagar still haven't signed a deal for next season. It will also be interesting to see if any team have the guts to sign Milik. A good prospect but he comes with a very hight average (2.000+). Then for Smederna, the question is whether or not Kenni L is fit for league racing next season. If he is reasonably fit I can't Smederna not signing him, I think that Smederna will be interesting in supporting him after what happened to Kenni. He has also been very loyal to Smederna and is said to have a, relatively, cheap contract.
  3. Link to article about purchase http://m.afl.com.au/news/2016-10-07/done-deal-afl-signs-off-on-etihad-stadium-purchase
  4. Why should he do the qualifiers when others doesn't have to?
  5. Here is the article: http://www.jv.dk/artikel/2411935 Bjerre says that the wild cards are good riders and that Emil belongs in the GP but Bjerre also asks "why Emil doesn't have to go through the qualifiers like the rest of us"?, The issue Bjerre is upset about is that he isn't one of the qualified reserves despite that he finished 4th in the GP Challenge. He is also upset about that Kildemand was selected as the first reserve ahead of him (KB). KB says that PK won his first GP this season but that PK really haven't achieved much since.
  6. IMO force majeure is not applicable here. Greg caused this from the beginning by not racing. No jury would agree with Greg if he claimed force majeure. GH should have predicted that his behaviour could lead to further consequences and thus it is not force majeure.
  7. Possible, rules are written like this with intent so that FIM has some manoeuvring space should situations like this arise.
  8. Some speculations; http://www.na.se/motor/speedway/na-avslojar-de-kan-atervanda-till-indianerna
  9. Surely not and surely Janowski would be a better choice? As I have said before, SGP needs racers not dragracers (aka gating tarts).
  10. I think that Doyle's injury probably is a big factor as well. Had he still been in the title fight, I think that the attendance would have been higher. Possibly higher than last year.
  11. Sure but as I said in the other thread, there is no remainder of the season from which he is ineligible. World champion is the one with the most points after the final GP.
  12. Agree. As it now, a rider can do whatever he wants in the final round, if the standings are already decided, without getting any further penalties.
  13. Well that is what it says: That doesn't mean that he is not allowed to be wch, only that he cannot ride in the SGP any more this year which does not matter since this was the final GP this season.
  14. It says that he will be ineligible to take place in the rest of this year's championship but that doesn't matter since this was the last GP of this season and even if you remove his points, he is still 4p ahead of Tai,
  15. I've said it many times before but IMO a championship main sponsor that also sponsors a few selected riders might open up suspicions of bias or conflict of interest.
  16. It was indeed nice to see that Lindbäck and Iversen actually got a grip of themselves and finished top 8 and thus saving us from Bjerre.
  17. In today's local newspaper, there was a very nice interview with John "Cowboy" Cook. It is available online but is behind a pay wall though. http://ekuriren.se/sport/1.4463751-legendaren-john-cook-om-livet-doden-och-vm-avslutningen
  18. Seriously, Hampel? Why? Surely Janowski would have been a much better choice?
  19. He has, I read an interview* were he said that he would/might be interested but that he didn't understand why he would have to do the qualifiers when other riders were given wild cards despite not bothering with the GP-qualifiers. Or something along those lines, I don't remember the exact phrasing. *It was this summer and it was probably an interview made by the local newspaper in Eskilstuna.
  20. You forgot sprinting a long distance and then physically abuse another rider by punching him. Repeated bullying of Nicki by Greg and his hang arounds.
  21. Grigorij Laguta is very good rider but I don't think the temporary tracks suits him since he is a bit of a slow gater.
  22. Honestly it would be nice if a non-monster or non-monster hangraround win it next year*. I also still think it is very unsuitable for the championship sponsor to sponsor a few selected riders in the lineup, I don't know if they get any advantages of it but the actual possibility of bias is enough for it to be improper/unsuitable. *the exception would of course be Antonio Lindbäck.
