  1. Västervik's motivation as to why they declined the promotion to Elitserien. http://mobil.vt.se/sport/speedway/elitserien-har-sparat-ur-tyvarr-om4313349.aspx
  2. Västervik have declined to take the step up to Elitserien. Smederna have been offered and accepted Västervik's place in Elitserien. http://ekuriren.se/sport/1.4400665-klart-smederna-kor-i-elitserien-nasta-sasong
  3. No, the rules changed a few years ago and anyone that finishes top 8 will count as top 8 regardless if they are a reserve or not.
  4. Possible, I wouldn't mind if they tried Tele 2 arena for a year though. Friends arena is way too big and T2 is only around 30K capacity wise. it is also easier to access, lots of parking in the area as well as a subway station very close. Probably won't do a major difference but perhaps better then Friends arena.
  5. Yeah Stockholm Olympic stadium, it's a no go nowadays though since they get new running tracks and it is not allowed to cover them with dirt.
  6. My guess is that: It's too expensive Far from good enough racing (especially in relation to the ticket price). No Swedes in top contention. Traffic in the area around the arena is a mess. Limited or non existent possibilities to travel by car. There is a commuter train but it is still a fair walk to the arena. No established speedway club in Stockholm Stockholm has allot of other things to offer. Swedes care about football and icehockey, rest of the sports are pretty small in exposure and attendance. (Swedish rally championship being the exception when it comes to attendance). People have better things to do on a Saturday evening.
  7. Nah, capacity with all levels is about 50 000. Level 1 capacity is 22 000 for footboll but not all that capacity is available for speedway for safety reasons. So my guess (from watching tv) is maybe 12-14 000 somewhere. Still awful though,
  8. If Lindbäck continues like this, Lindgren will overtake him, Bjerre will be in and Lindbäck will be in a need of a wild card.

  10. Sensible decision. I agree, AJ could have taken this decision a week ago.
  11. Not until later today/tonight His plan is to practice in Hallstavik tonight and then decide if he thinks he can ride tomorrow.
  12. The speedway sport in general. Or perhaps you mean that it's negative for the sport to receive sponsor money, TV-exposure?
  13. Västervik have won the Allsvenskan final. It remains to see if they are willing to take the step up.
  14. A pic of the stadium: https://twitter.com/philmorrisgb/status/778984594880225280
  15. As far as I know, Nicki have been given a wild card once before. But it's not like Freddie Lindgren, Chris Harris or Andreas Jonsson.
  16. Absolutely right and it will take quite a few years for new series to settle. Not that many years ago the Rallycross European championship series was considered to be " a mickey mouse championship" that not many cared about. Today it has evolved into a global world championship with several international motorsport stars in the lineup.
  17. Judging by what he says, he should be stopped from riding. He will be too big risk to the others and to himself, especially on a temporary track that likely will be "less then smooth" compared to lets say how Vojens normally is prepared.
  18. 2-3 months with a neck brace for Nicki. http://www.jv.dk/artikel/2386441:Sport--Nicki-Pedersen-skal-gaa-med-nakkekrave
  19. Lindbäck signed a three year deal with Masarna, http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/motor/speedway/article23562480.ab
  20. I'd say. Let Emil try to qualify on his own and if there some of that stuff PR mentions well then we can consider giving him a wild card.
  21. Don't blame Onesoirt, blame BSI who demanded that OS shouldn't be allowed to usse national teams.
