Well what do you expect from a newspaper article? New news?

Doesn't really say that much. No formal decision taken yet whether it will happen or not but it is leaning towards a go for launch according to the local organizer and there is a date set should the competition go ahead. A track construction is underway.

Nicki Pedersen Injured.
Ghostwalker replied to foamfence's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Or what rider you ask. Peter Ljung is on record (Metanolpodden) saying that he thinks that Nicki P and G. Laguta isn't that bad and that they usually give you room. When asked if there is any rider that he don't want to have in the same team, he answers Miedzinski. -
Jonas Davidsson will not ride for Piraterna next season. He says himself that Piraterna want to have a top 4 of Greg H, Emil S, Peter Kildemand and N-K Iversen then Davidsson's average would be to hight to fit in. http://corren.se/nyheter/han-raknar-inte-med-piraterna-om4341606.aspx I wonder what the heck Piraterna is thinking (likely they are not thinking at all). They have several times the past years have troubled finances but now they they continue to sign expensive riders as if they would have find their own gold mine. This kind of headless spending needs to stop (that goes for all teams) and the clubs needs to start to go with more home grown riders instead. If I could choose, I would like Elitserien to have 5 Swedish riders and 2 foreign stars / line-up rather then the opposite that we have now,

Gubbängens IP speedway track have been permanently closed. An indoor bandy arena is to be built at Gubbängens IP which means that they have to put asphalt on top of the gravel. http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/motor/speedway/article23716807.ab Gubbängens IP speedway track have been permanently closed. Polish Ekstraliga Is Flexing Its Muscles
Ghostwalker replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
Tough luck for the Polish teams then. They need to start to learn to respect the other leagues. A national federation shall not and cannot decide when and were foreign riders ride. It is one thing if PZM/Ekstraliga have demands regarding the Polish riders but it is unacceptable if they have the same demands for non-polish riders. I also don't think a practice can trump a meeting, regardless if it is a scheduled or postponed meeting. -
2017 Grand Prix Venues
Ghostwalker replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think Stockholm is likely to be on the 23rd given it's past dates and that it likely would be 2 week after Teterow and 2 weeks before Torun. Btw, 10 Sep 2017 is a Sunday, do you predict a rain off? -

-- Employment laws does not have anything to do with it but the question is if this is regarded as a restriction of trade or similar. Most riders are self-employed by their own company and then rents their services to various speedway clubs. I don't think a sports federation legally can restrict a company from doing business in other countries or only allow them to do business in a certain amount of countries. -

Swedish And Polish Averages
Ghostwalker replied to Wildcat's topic in International World of Speedway
For Sweden; http://www.svemo.se/ImageVaultFiles/id_11344/cf_44/Ingangssnitt2017Elitserien_och_Allsvenskan.PDF The difference between the list above and the list below is that above list is the official averages which used for next season's team building. The list below includes the play off which is not counted in the official averages above. -

What Would You Like From The Agm
Ghostwalker replied to kingbee's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That is not what I said. I said that the new averages will be imported and then adjusted depending on the strength of the league, not that the rider should be given the exact same average And it is much better and more fair then BSPA giving a rider a "random average" based on what they think he should have. With a fixed conversion rate, every new foreign rider get his average calculated the same way, by BSPA using the same metrics for every rider, Whether or not the given average is likely to decease or increase is totally irrelevant when calculating a new average. That is for the interested team to take into account when they want to sign a new rider. It is nothing BSPA or any other federation should interfere with. The rider comes with a take-it-or-leave-it as is average. -
