  1. The true oracle of speedway and Smederna's "walking talker" Stephen "Zetters" Zetterwall will become 50 years old tomorrow. http://ekuriren.se/personligt/1.4373628-stephen-zetterwall-tank-att-det-skulle-ta-47-ar-innan-man-blev-sambo- His forum name is zetters.
  2. Just as a comparison of averages. In Sweden Lindbäck achieved 2.088 during the regular season while Tai "only" managed 1.944 http://www.svemo.se/ImageVaultFiles/id_11344/cf_44/Ingangssnitt2017Elitserien_och_Allsvenskan.PDF (excluding play offs) What you need is a major overhaul of the rules and do do away with this whole assessed averages thing. Why not use real averages and for foreign riders, why not use their averages from the home league? In this year's Elitserien AL scored 181 points from 90 heats in 18 meetings (including play off). https://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/TeamSections.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Season=2016&Serie=Elitserien&PageType=Sections&pagesize=10&TeamId=521 Hans Andersen only achieved 1.457 which 67 points from 46 heats and 10 meetings. https://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/TeamSections.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Season=2016&Serie=Elitserien&PageType=Sections&pagesize=10&TeamId=520
  3. While I agree in general. The issue is still not about finding a better venue. I, like you, is also convinced that there are better tracks/arenas for the purpose but the issue still is to find a local promoter that it is willing to shell out the money that BSI+FIm requires in conjunction with taking the financial risk should the event not be profitable.
  4. You should be able to replace a long time injured rider but not a rider that is able to ride a week and half later.
  5. You don't need a squad system to solve the problems with averages and riders coming in just for the playoffs. What you need is: 1. A change to the average rule so that foreign riders get the same average that they have in their own home league. If we use Lindbäck as an example. He has 2.011 with the Swedish average system (average points/heat) and he have done 90 heats in 18 meetings. That would be an average of 10.055 points/meeting. In the Swedish league there are fixed ratios to which averages are brought over fore new foreign riders that does not have an official Swedish average: 1,0 Polska Extraliga 0,8 GB Elite League, Polska förstaliga. 0,7 DK Superliga, Tjeckiska Extraliga. 0,6 GB Premier League, Ryska förstaligan. 0,5 Polska andraliga, Tyska Bundesliga. 0,4 Övriga ligor. 2. Transfer windows. In Sweden we have one windows just before the season start and one in the middle of the season (this year it was during the SWC break) outside these windows, Svemo will not register any changes to the team except for Swedish 0,500 (2.00) riders that can be added whenever a team wants and also long time injured riders (see 3.) 3.. A rule for the replacement of long time injured riders. In Sweden the rider that is being replaced have to be expected to be away for at least 4 weeks (28 days). The replacing rider, will stay for all 4 weeks even if the injured returns before the 4 weeks have elapsed. The replacing rider also cannot have an average that is greater the rider he replaces, the average have to be the same or lower then the rider he is replacing.
  6. Jonsson says that he intends to ride in the final. http://www.svt.se/sport/motorsport/besked-andreas-jonssons-kor-sm-finalen/
  7. Not "more" then any other speedway rider. Andreas Jonsson intends to ride at Stockholm next week. Imo I think there should be stricter rules when it comes to unfit riders. A rider that is not fit is a danger to both him/herself and to others but they are still allowed to ride. There have been allot of flack and talk about "dirty rider" but imo riders that hardly can hold on to the bike is just as bad if not worse.
  8. RPNYC, staging a GP in USA is a pretyy big gamble so FIM/BSI won't do anything unless there is a local promoter willing to take the risk.
  9. Ullevi have never been a good venue or track. Too big stadium and the track had the same problems as Tammerfors had. Both were built on top an athletics track which isn't a very good shape.
  10. I don't know I haven't been watching. I haven't really had time. Havehad lots of other stuff that needs to be done. School work, lunch for tomorrow (then trying to clean the kitchen afterwards) and etc. Anyway regarding Doyle, whatever it is, it is something with the leg. He could walk but he limped heavily. So unlikely to be a major led fracture but you never know with a speedway rider. It will be Lindman instead of Doyle in heat 13 if Doyle can't ride. I think Fricke can't ride anymore, 6 heats is or have been max amount of heats for reserve. Anyway regardless of the result, it will be Dackarna-Rospiggarna in the final. Note sure that Fricke should have been allowed in that heat. A rider are allowed to do 6 heats but can be allowed to do 7 if they are used as a RR sub but to reach 7 heats the also have to be used as a tac sub. The latter is not the case so Fricke have one heat too much I think.
  11. AJ seems to believe that he will be fit enough for Stockholm GP. http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/5214/aj-plans-stockholm-sgp-comeback I think he should give it a miss, the last thing we need is a non healthy rider causing problems for the others.
  12. Link to source for lineup http://www.jv.dk/artikel/2381050:Sport--Se-det-lige-her--Saadan-stiller-klubberne-op-i-superfinalen-i-speedway In RR's post above the sunglass smilies are supposed to be Bs. Final starts at 18.30 Danish time which is 17.30 UK time.
  13. Perhaps start with a SEC round first to see what kind of interest there is.
  14. Actually, NL is a speedway country. Albeit a very small one with i think 2-3 active tracks. Not sure how many riders they have though.

  17. It has been discussed to some extent before; http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=74213 http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=69422
  18. Hancock did a just as bad thing the 5 days ago when he fenced Andreas Jonsson who now is injured and will miss the rest of the season.
  19. I would think that Stockholm will keep it's end of September slot.
  20. Bah, pay attention racers, you might learn something. Yes I agree completely.
  21. Tai Woffinden have signed a two year contract with Masarna. http://www.masarna.nu/2016/09/10/tai-woffinden-klar-for-masarna/
  22. rule changes for next season have been announced: http://www.svemo.se/ImageVaultFiles/id_11285/cf_44/Beslutsprotokoll_09_Track_Racing_g-llande_regler_2.PDF The two big differences is that the average cap is restored to last season's 10.250 (42.00 with the old system) and that the point limit for tact sub is increased to 8 points. Allsvenskan will have 2xhome and 2xaway vs all teams. Division 1 and Elit-B is merged to one series and it's mandatory for all Elitserien teams to field a Div-1 team. For the rest, participation is optional. There are also demand that each Div-1 team needs to have at least one 250cc riders in each meeting.
  23. Very unlikely. TV-meetings usually start at 19.10-19.15 local time. Then add to that, longer grading intervals due to extra time for tv studio talks
