  1. I agree with IO, Harris ended the 2010 season i a very good way but yet he didnt get going until towards the end of this GP season. It could also be that the tracks in the of the season suits him better then the tracks during the rest of the season.
  2. two semifinals from two wild card apperarances. Rode very well in Målilla GP. Averaged on 7 points in the World Cup; Ev1: Thomas H. Jonasson (1,2,2,2,0,0) 7 RO: Thomas H. Jonasson (3,0,2,0,2,0) 7 Fin: Thomas H. Jonasson (0,2,2,1,2,0) 7
  3. well you now there are many other young exciting riders like Pawlickis, Janowski, Miedzisnki, Grigory Laguta... all of them would have been a just as good pick as Darcy and Laguta would have been an even better choice.
  4. A good news is that Västervik have said yes to the offer to stay in Elitserien. http://www.vt.se/sport/?articleid=6108510 This means that i can start the mandatory Preview thread if there are enough interest.
  5. what i mean is that we don't know if the best team won since Indianerna never got the chance to prove themselves yesterday since Ryan crashed already in his first heat. Also of course Indianerna (Bjarne) also lost it in ht11. But Normally 6p would have been enough. On a side note tonight's meeting its a big "Long finger" to those who claim that only short tracks can produce good speedway. Kumla is by many (me included) considered to be one of the best, if not THE best track in Sweden. So Anders i hope you and Vetlandas track staff were watching coz' you sure got allot to learn about how to make a good racers track.
  6. well Piraterna won but i think that Sullivans abcense in yesterday meeting meant allot for the final score.
  7. i agree, so unlucky for Indianerna to loose Sullivan and with him the gold. Regarding Sullivan so the news is several broken ribs and a punctured lung.
  8. Lineups for the final: Elitserien Final 1 Piraterna - Indianerna, 2011-10-04 Piraterna Greg Hancock Linus Sundström Jonas Davidsson Piotr Pawlicki Przemyslaw Pawlicki Maciej Janowski Daniel Davidsson Indianerna Antonio Lindbäck Joonas Kylmäkorpi Piotr Protasiewicz Niels-Kristian Iversen Ryan Sullivan Bjarne Pedersen Simon Gustafsson Elitserien Final 2 Indianerna - Piraterna, 2011-10-05 Indianerna Joonas Kylmäkorpi Antonio Lindbäck Piotr Protasiewicz Niels-Kristian Iversen Ryan Sullivan Simon Gustafsson Bjarne Pedersen Piraterna Przemyslaw Pawlicki Piotr Pawlicki Greg Hancock Linus Sundström Jonas Davidsson Maciej Janowski Daniel Davidsson live scores: http://www.svemo.se/Grenar/Speedway/ http://www.speedwaylive.se/ http://live.sportowefakty.pl/launch_speedway_3087.html
  9. Orion if GB would like another GP i dont think that would be a problem even if there is three GPs in Poland. I think the question rather is if there would be enough spectator interest for a 2nd GB Grand Prix? Poland have three GPs because they sell out, if a 2nd GB GP also would sell out (more or less) i do think that BSI would mind having one regardless of how many GPs that are held in Poland.
  10. why is it unfair? Instead of a 3rd Polish GP where should it be?
  11. MotoGP have 4! GPs in Spain; Spanish, Catalonian, Aragonian ( Alcañiz, Spain.) and Valencia. MotoGP also have two in Italy; Italian and San Marino GP (at Misano World Circuit, Italy and two GPs in the USA; Laguna Seca and Indianapolis. So what is the difference compared to speedway?
  12. so why only count the last 14 gps are the others one not valid as results in anyway? it also means that 3/4 of those GPs weren't successful.
  13. i don't know, no rules for next season have been mentioned yet. Rumours are that it will be only 7 riders/squad. I don't see how it would possible to lower it though, there is already allot of moaning from "certain fans" that the averages is just rubbish that needs to be scrapped. Those fans have a very hard time understanding that of the averages would be removed completely that day Swedish speedway would die. Both because teams would try to sign a better team they could afford but also because there would be a big risk that a few teams would be too dominant which would cause the interest to go away.
  14. They have announced that they will ride in Allsvenskan next season. However this is dependant on that they receive appropriate permissions from Svemo as they didn't get their elite license. But i do think that they will be allowed in Allsvenskan anyway since it would be of benefit from Allsvenskan to have 8 teams instead of 7 teams and since no team from Div1 wants to move up to Allsvenskan i don't think anyone would protest.
  15. 1 podium even a WC rider can do that. Zorro have two semi-finals from two attempts, THJ also got two semifinals from two attempts. Harris only managed 2 semi finals besides the podium. Despite riding in every GP. IMO If a a rider like THJ makes two sem-finals from two attempts as well as entering the qualification process he would be a just a good pick as Freddie and Harris. Also as i have said before if no other riders gets the chance to prove themselves in the GPs how could you know that they would not perform better then the regular charity cases? Harris got 1 podium finish this year but also 9 none podiums, Freddie got two podiums but also 8 non podiums, Nicki got 1 Victory this year which puts him ahead of FL and CH. How many Victories have Freddie got from his SGP career? Zero, How many victories have Harris achieved?
  16. in the end the playout meetings did not have any meaning. As expected, Rospiggarna have declined to take the step up to Elitserien. http://norrteljetidning.se/sport http://norrteljetidn...erien-nej-tack- http://norrteljetidn...laget-ska-se-ut
  17. its hard to know if a rider would be able to finish on the podium if he never would get a chance to prove it. One thing is proven though is that both Harris and Freddie also seems to lack the ability to finish on the Podium, Lindgren have 5 podiums from 4 seasons, 1-2008,2-2009,0-2010 and 2 this year. Harris got 6 podiums from 5 seasons of which 1 is from this year. at least Nicki P is among the top scorers in the leagues but neither Lindgren or Harris are. non qual, riders that are ahead of Harris and Freddie in Sweden scoring wise are: Nicki Pedersen, Grigory Laguta, Jurica Pavlic (only 4 meetings for him), Grzegorz Walasek, Daniel Nermark, Darcy Ward, Ryan Sullivan, the something for Poland: Ryan Sullivan Grigorij Łaguta Adrian Miedziński Maciej Janowski Matej Zagar Piotr Świderski Nicki Pedersen Fredrik LIndgren Sebastian Ułamek Daniel Nermark Rune Holta Troy Batchelor Krzysztof Kasprzak Janusz Kołodziej Rafał Okoniewski Niels Kristian Iversen Martin Vaculik Bjarne Pedersen Chris Harris so take your pick, lots of good names to choose from.
  18. nope possibly Ward but enough with the rest,. its time to put an end to charity.
  19. not much to see tbh, Dackarna making short work of Västervik. 12p up after 4 heats, nothing to see so see ya around.
  20. Live scores: http://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/Speedway/CompetitionLiveResult.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Datefilter=Today&pagesize=6&CompetitionId=394 http://www.speedwaylive.se/2.15.7.php?id=44 http://live.sportowefakty.pl/launch_speedway_3079.html
  21. well i assume that we no longer can refer to speedway as the sport with no brakes no fear? anyway here is the lineup for Saturday's Hallstaviks Elektriska Open: 1. Kim Nilsson 2.Ante Messing 3.Teemu Lahti Finland 4.Aarni Heiikiilä Finland 5.David Hillborg 6.Fritz Wallner Österrike 7.Eric Andersson 8.Fredrik Engman 9.Andreas Westlund 10.Daniel Henderson 11.Peter Wall 12.Pasi Pulliainen Finland 13.Oliver Berntzon 14. 22. re- janowski , vaculik, Pavlic, Dennis etc.,... i agree that they probably are not ready but as late as a year ago people were making claims thatthe U21 champion should get a free spot into the GPs.
