Rospiggarna have decided to step down to Allsvenskan from Elitserien One of their board members,Göran Lindblom, says that Rospiggarna neither can or want to be apart of Elitserien under the current circumstances he also says that he finds the entire system sick. So yesterday evening the board took a unanimously decision to step down one notch to Allsvenskan. This means that Rospiggarna who won the playoffs as newcomers in 1995 and during the 14 following seasons they won the gold another three times 1997, 2001 & 2002. Göran Lindblom continues and says that the y have several reasons for their decision. They have had problems with decreasing attendance levels and sponsors incomes so they don't want to risk the clubs existence by staying in Elitserien and by that risking to send the club into bankruptcy. Göran also says that Rospiggarna will do a break even financial results this year and that it is not an immediate financial crisis. All riders and contractors have been paid. So in general it is all about that we don't want to gamble with another season in Elitserien and hope that it would work out alright. i agree its not Smederna's fault but i think its good for the league that Smederna (and i hope Gnistorna) moves to Allsvenskan. It was a beautiful and a very cold evening, only +10 Celsius (50F) when we left the stadium. I have no news regarding David Rohlén.

regarding the medics, since a few weeks, Smederna have their own ambulance and medics which is cheaper then renting an ambulance from Landstinget however you won't have the same standard as a regular ambulance. The private ambulance also aren't allowed to transport patients more then to get them off the track. I agree on that this meeting as most of the other this season for Smederna, were boring. It is not fun to seea meeting ending with 72-24, Smederna only lost 8p and 2 of them after a "mechanical failure" for Henrik Karlsson in heat 13. Anyway it was very nice to that over 1000 people had decided to watch the meeting at the track. That is almost as much as Valsarna's lowest attendance and they are an Elitserien team. Next year Smederna will ride in Allsvenskan (if there'll be any Allsvenskan next season) and that is a much tougher league but i think they will do ok if Smederna can manage to keep all riders and maybe bring in 1 or 2 new riders. for those of you who turned it off before the end did miss two things 1: this 2: a small but nice firework

i am not so sure that we will see Greg in next years GP series if he misses out on top 8. he will be in the same situation as Leigh Adams were in a year ago and he once said in an interview (2 years ago) , on a reply about when to quit, that he will do so when he wakes up in the morning and no longer feels that it is fun and when he no longer can keep up with the best.

Micke, imo its a very good service especially for those who are unable to see the meetings live at the stadium, like racers, brandonbee, davidba and many others. I have seen i think 2 meetings live at the stadium this year and a bunch of streamed meetings although they quite frequently have freezed. I don't know what hardware setup you use but hosting video streaming can be quite CPU/RAM intensive so perhaps that might be one of the factors that contributes to the freezing? I do know that Eskilstuna Motorstadion got MAN broadband installed when the track became a GP track.

well i think Vetlanda should be able to take a comfortable home win especially since neither of the teams have anything to ride for. Vetlanda is also a very strong home team so i predict a score around 52-44 <-> 55-41 for Elit Vetlanda.

The meeting in norrköping have been cancelled. They were just not able to fix the track after the rain. @brandonbee , this is far from the first time Ryan S have companied about a slightly wet track.
