"Gotland Islanders" aka Bysarna still have hopes of completing a new 80cc track for next season. despite a new delay. Even though the that the neighbours of the new proposed site all have granted Bysarna to build there, the city planning office have demanded that all neighbours have to fill out a form which Bysarna have to attach to their application. Until they have done so the planning office cannot approve Bysarnas' construction application. Västervik had a crisis meeting yesterday evening but are not any closer to a solution. The sponsors don't want to contribute with any more money until Västervik signs a couple good riders. Västervik on the other hand cant sign any riders until the debts have been paid. Västervik now hopes that Västervik municipality will stand surety for a loan. Indianerna's team manager confirms that he have talked with Bjarne Pedersen and Nils Kristian Iversen but that those two want to wait and see what happens to Västervik. -

Indianerna have released two more names from their squad; Leon Madsen who Indianerna at first wasn't interested in keeping but i guess they changed their mind when Holta left. The other rider is Renat Gafurov. Both of them rode for Indianerna the past season. http://www.kumlanytt.se/nyheter.php?subact...amp;ucat=1& -

the only school holiday in May is in the second full week (19) where the kids (and many parents) have 4 days of (May 13th - May 16th). After this the kids will be in school for four weeks before they the summer break starts. so the GP should at least be held on that weekend instead of the current. -

i think it depends on what happens with Västervik. If they cant find the funds needed for next season their riders will be available for the other teams. -

Wrong again. I have nothing against Zorro, on the contrary he was a good asset for Smederna this season and i thought that it was good to have him back were he belonged. Even if he didnt score well in all the meetings i think he in a way kept the others going by being supportive in the pits. I am just not thrilled to see him or any other rider of his standard in the GPs no matter if they are via qualifying or by WC.

Swedish speedway teams have been worried about a new tax law regarding "artist" appearances in Sports. Because of this many teams are considering/preparing to incorporate. However according to a newspaper article a paragraf in the law says that artists/athletes that make occansional performances/appearances in Sweden, as well as while doing the same performances/appearances in their home country, the Swedish employer will not have to pay the extra tax since the artists/athletes should pay those in their home country. Elitserien newcomer Valsarna have made a deal with Solkatterna to be each others partner teams for next season. The two teams also have plans for creating a common 80cc and Div1 team. http://www.valsarna.nu/valsnytt/valsnytt_106.htm -

i love tractors. Emil is better then Tai and more experienced as well. EK well he is way to mediocre to be in the GPs. Emil only Rides in Two leagues too (Poland& Russia) Some say that Tai/EK will get new big sponsors. So? its not all about machinery or having big budgets. EK has rode his meetings in Sweden at Kråkvilan which is a short and narrow "British style track" and despite that his score have been very low. Even a rider like Eric Andersson have better scores (22p/24 heats/5 meetings) in Elitserien. Tai has done very well in his first season in Elitserien, especially the second half but he has mostly ridden as a reserve soi think he should wait a year at least to get some more experience. IMO a rider needs to show some consistency scoring in at least two leagues from riding as nr 1-5 before they should be considered for a WC. -

FRom wehat i have read Ostrow is likely to be denied an "elite license" starting permit from the Polish Federation for next season. I dont know how likely it is or how serious these intentions are but in an article it said that they were thinking of starting a new team and then apply for the Swedish Elitserien. -
