  1. at the moment Rico is your best rider.he is doing very well in Sweden not sure about Poland/Britain though.
  2. While you cant argue against Svemo's decision regarding the Elitelicense for Smederna , you could say that its not very smart to take this decisions in the middle of the season. As it is now Smederna have dropped out from the remaining part of the season which will affect almost every other team in Elitserien since most teams will loose out on a home meeting which can be a blow to those team economy. I know Västervik had some very tight situation after last season and they will now loose some 400'000-500'000 kr on a lost home meeting. Then the riders most other teams have full teams and are not able to bring in other riders with in the 9 rider limit. IMO I'd like to refine SVEMO's decision making a bit. I would like to see a preliminary decision in the end of June notifying the teams on their situation regarding the license. This would allow the teams to try and raise that kind of money to lets say the last day in October. Reports says that Smederna managed to lower their debts from 3,75 miljoner in March to about 2 millions now so maybe Smederna would have managed to lower their debts even further if they had been able to fullfill the season.
  3. sorry for my "sin" but i made a new topic about this with some more detailed info in the first post.
  4. Following several years of increasing debts Smederna today decided to file for Bankruptcy. Smederna have had financial problems for several years and while the new management led by Club President Jan Åkerviken have tried to solve the situation since he and the club beard was elected in february/march but Svemo decided last week not to approve the application for an Elitlicense. This have meant that Smederna needed urgent funds to be able to continue this season but since main sponsor Ikaros not was able to assist with more funds then they already had put in this was the only thing to do. Smederna will with immediate effect drop out of Elitserien and the riders, who want, should be able to try and find new teams in next weeks transfer window. It is those years that the debts origins from the club was governed by club president Göran Karlsson. So i really hope that his and the rest of the club board's action will be investigated thoroughly because they should not get away with this. All though that wont help Smederna it will be a warning to current and future Presidents/team managements that if you screw around you will be held responsible for it. Initial reports say that the Division 1 team, Team Bikab and the the other junior parts of the club like, the 80cc team and the Speedway Sunday School ("Sladda runt skolan") where kids between 5 and 15 are able to try speedway. Possibly we might see a similar solution like Masarna last season where the elite league went bankrupt and who's place in Allsvenskan was by their division 1 team. The bankruptcy will not affect Smederna's hometrack Smedstadion which is owned by the City of Eskilstuna.
  5. its been confirmed now that Smederna will be put into banktruptcy.
  6. imo Holta is too old for a WC if he dont finish top 8 well too bad for hom but if they want to get some excitement back in the GPs its time to go for the sligthly younger ones (younger then 30).
  7. suprised that there's no Jagus for Poland and no Ward for Australia.
  8. It kinda depends on what rider that will be within top 8 after the season. If we base the WCs on what it looks like at the moment my picks would be: 1. Lindbäck 2. Hampel 3. Holder 4. Bjerre
  9. my pick for top 3. I added Pepe in case Freddie finish within the top 8 in the GP series.
  10. well to be honest i think you should make sure that you fill the Millennium Stadium before you start talking about having a GP at Wembley. Otherwise Wembley will be like Ullevi/Gothenburg a large stadium only filled to about 1/3.
  11. dont forget live webradio from Solkatterna-Masarna: 1.download the program at the link below: 2. install 3. start program when the list have loaded right click "Radio Avesta 103,5 MHz" and select listen. http://www.streamerp2p.com/sfiles/installstreamer.exe live updates: Solkatterna-Masarna Griparna-Getingarna Hammarby - Örnarna
  12. what silly rule. If a rider want to be in that meeting he should have to qualify by his own merit and not because he happened to be from the country in which the final is held.
  13. there are two meetings in tonights Division 1: Filbyterna vs. Team Hagfors Gnistorna vs. Team Bikab In this meeting have a look at Henrik "T/T" Karlsson sometimes so fast that not even the referee can *keep up with him* Gasarna vs. ? is moved due to that the postponed meeting between Masarna & Getingarna is taking place tonight
  14. http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/uppland/nyheter/a...Artikel=2939441 according Swedish Radio Uppland he has a fractured Scapula. the same here: http://www2.unt.se/avd/1,1826,MC=4-AV_ID=927780,00.html? first they just thought it was dislopcated shoulder but it turned out that his scapula probably had a fracture aswell.
  15. i thought it was a fractured scapula (fraktur på skulderbladet)?
  16. King is one of your 3-4 best riders even if his form is a bit questionable at the moment judging bu his 3 latest meetings in Sweden. Although its possible that his concussion a few weeks ago might affect him still.
  17. as always it depends on the severity of the injury. According to the following article normally it takes 6 weeks to heal. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1263076-treatment this article http://www.mdguidelines.com/fracture-scapula claims 6-8 weeks.
  18. well i suppose they have reserves for a reason; to be called in in case of injuries.
  19. if you can fly with Ryanair, then fly to Nyköping-Skavsta which is about 240km north from Målilla. If you cant/dont want to fly with Ryanair then you can either fly to Kastrup-Copenhagen or to Stockholm Arlanda both are about 360km away from Målilla.
  20. i actually have a picture from Smederna vs. Vargarna. This little fellow, i think his name is Adams or Andreas Ceder, was doing a few show laps while we waited for the start of the first heat which was delayed because allot of people was stuck in a cue on the freeway trying to get to the meeting.
  21. my opinion on the Smederna vs. Vargarna meeting: The track: it was very awful today way to dry and with very little passing. I know the weather have been hot and dry for over a week but Smederna seriously got to try and make the track more grippy since neither of our riders seems to be particular quick from the gate. At some of the past meetings this years the track have been quite grippy but not tonight. It was obvious in many heats that Smederna's rider were quicker then Vargarna's but was was unable to get passed the opponents. It started well with a 4-2 for Smederna before e Vargarna turned it around with 4 straight heat wins via a 5-1 in heat 2 were Tai and Kim took the gate and didnt have any trouble keeping it for 4 laps. Heat 6 featured Jagus as a tactical replacement for Buczek and Jagus and Kasper managed a 4-2 with Jagus taking his first heat win for the night. Then two 3-3 heat followed with out any particular excitement before Max and Jagus took Smederna an additional two oints closer aftrer a 4-2 in heat 9 where Max was in as a tactical replacement for Eklöf. Zorro and Vaculik both switched bikes to the 10th heat and that was a successful switch since they tied up the score at 30-30 with a 5-1 win over Adams Shields who solely had to be up against Smedernaäs riders when Tai managed to get himself excluded because of a 2min violation. Vaculik and Eklöf were very hungry for a revenge in heat 11 (the second reserve heat) when they easily defeated Tai & Kim Nilsson and scored Smederna's second 5-1 for the evening. in heat 12 and 13 Smederna pulled away with 2x 4-2, in heat 13 Max made a superb first bend where he went around both of Vargana's riders on the outside :D and KK on the inside but he somehow screwed up on ther last lap when Smederna having a 5-1 position and Miedzinski managed to pass him in the first bend on the last lap Kasper was very close on taking it back over then finish lap but referee decided that Miedzinski was ahead. Heat 14 was thee usual story where Smederna had the chance to secure the victory but failed like many times before. Smederna had 3-3 on and off for the entire heat but Jagus and Zorro managed to get in each other way all the time and they lost the heat with 2-4. Heat 15 was even worse where both Zorro and Vaculik missed the start completely and vargarna pulled away to an easy 5-1 win. With only a 2p lead before the final heat the pressure was on Jagus and Max but Max showed who was king of the evening when he soared away to another easy win Jagus tried for 4 laps to pass Miedzinski but, as the track was in the shape it was, Jagoda'ss attempt were without Success. My opinion on Smederna's riders: Zorro: 7p is an ok score but he can do better Max, 17p!!!!!!! well his scores speaks for it self, just a bit too bad that didn't manage with a maximum tonight. Kasper well another disappointing meeting from this rider. he needs to do MUCH better for it to be ok, he needs to at least score 10p/meeting for it to be ok. the question is if we can find a replacement for him next week as Troy and Misiek doesn't seem to be fit and King has lost his form completely. Buczek not much points from him either. He was pretty good during his first season with us but its possible that the severe crash he had last season is still affecting him. Jagoda did an ok meeting with 10p but is too slow to often in the start. two 1s and a 0 isn't ok from a nr5 rider like Jagus. Eklöf well apart from the 2+1 in heat 11 he was as mediocre has many time before the only reason that he still is riding is that we don't have any good replacement ...yet Vaculik he can do allot of better then 6p but he had a crash in Poland nine days ago where he suffered a concussion so maybe it is still bothering him coz' he is much better then 6p against Vargarna. The victory earned Smederna 2+1 points and brought them up above into the top 6 but i cant see that we'll stay there for especially long as we only have 2 home meetings to go and allot of difficult away meetings, with Vetlanda being the next stop next week where i dont think we'll get over 30p.
