The sport is really missing a trick in not getting involved in “vlogger” culture. Imagine having dedicated vlogs to drum up interest and offer a behind the scenes look at what it takes to prepare for a season. Insight into a rider’s daily life etc. It would enhance the interest incredibly.

The longer the silence goes on, the more I think this isn’t happening… “Northampton Speedway 2026, the club that almost happened.” will be spoken about for years.

I think a lot will depend on how well Northampton does as to whether they return in 2027. With the possibility of Coventry also returning… it wouldn’t surprise me to see the BSPL continue to try and flog the Premiership…

Doyle has had many wild cards now and is always missing injured, and there are 3 Aussies ahead of him so I think his time is up IMO. Max Fricke is a given and only missed out on the points system (the old format he would have been 7th over Lambert) Then there’s the conversation around Martin Vaculik who had a massive fall off this year but has been a consistent rider for the last 6+ years so I think he deeerves one also. I’d give one to Laguta if the powers that be finally have some sense. I’d love to give one to Emil but I believe we are starting to see him past his best. then I believe the SGP2 champion should be an automatic qualification.
