Me too. Forget missing riders who have other more important commitments. Poole would win square and fair in the so called 'elite' league if all the present elite clubs joined us. They can have plenty of room in their hot showers, drink all the bubbly they want play with their fireworks.

Very much a rich mans Barker is my opinion.

I worked night shift last night and it rained persistently from approx. 01.00 hours and was still drizzling at 07.00 hours -- trying to kip when all I can hear is thunder and rain during the day proved difficult. Looking forward to Friday and hopefully a full (ish) team and safety all round. What a year it's been for injuries and sadness. Up The Bees!!!

And will the ref. be paying too much attention to James Saergant and ignoring other riders who break the rules?

Easy win for the Bees tonight --- great to see Hans performing better and hope his confidence will be boosted. It will be interesting to see how the Bees perform against the ''better ''teams. It was good to see so many children enjoying the racing tonight BUT please will someone inform the parents/teachers/caretakers about the etiquette of being a good supporter and fan. I lost count of the amount of times that the adults decided to ''toilet'' these youngsters during the races and hogging the aisles which blocked spectators view. The stewards were conspicuous by their absence just when they were needed. -

Thanks for the advice -- I attempted to search for Cardiff (I noticed a comment from you regarding this in a previous post) but had no joy in my search. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I have free cancellation on this accommodation and have yet to commit to parting with cash to park the car so I have left myself a choice. -

Hoping for some tips! I've booked for me and my fellow speedway followers to stay at Newport Student Campus accommodation for next year's Cardiff GP. How easy and regular are the trains to /from Cardiff? Are there any drinking holes close to the campus for an evening tipple before falling into bed? Is the place reasonably clean and tidy? (I shall be taking my own kettle and mugs plus a hairdryer and toiletries even though these last 2 items are meant to be provided). Ta muchly for any advice. -

Such sad news -- we exchanged comments on the forum not long after I joined about the book concerning Kenny Carter which I had just read. We didn't agree but had a mutual respect for each other's opinions. I was pleased to meet her a couple of times at grasstrack meetings albeit briefly. R.I.P. x -

And herein lies the true facts. I love to watch Bomber race but he's NOT a number 1 -- it's been tried and tested --- he crumbles under the pressure. I appreciate (and not for the 1st time) that the ''bomber love in fans'' may well give this post a hard time. PLEASE let it be someone else who attempts to step up to the mark. -

This saddens me greatly --- James is a young and up and coming talent --- he is a popular lad. Why oh why did the cheering take place? I for one hope that next season we are in the premier league. Of course that is dependant on us still having a stadium. -

I love Somerset (showered in shale!) but Peterborough is my favourite track (after my home track of course) -- it's up,close and personal there. -
After just having watched the weather forecast I think we'll all be saving our money and the ink in our biros.

I'm getting confused (easily done for me) -- the original thread appears to have got lost amongst the recent discussions?

I've just seen the forecast and it's showing a dry period until about 1pmish and unfortunately the wet stuff then descends upon the central area of the country. I fear the worst.
