  1. Errr another farce in the speedway world! My only hope is that they get their act together and knock your lot off their perch. I doubt it tho'. If speedway becomes competitive again I will return to what was once a wonderful and FAIR sport. I ain't holding my breath.
  2. 99.9% that you will get your wish. Enjoy the 'blue line' racing = borefest. Sorry wozo1 -- this was a reply to lisa collette not you!
  3. I will enjoy the comments made when the meeting is over. Stay safe all riders. Poole to win is my opinion.
  4. I'm not disagreeing with your comment. Enjoy the inevitability of the final score.
  5. Errr there is a lot wrong with speedway in general. I personally pick my meetings carefully --- I enjoy close scores and hard fought racing. I dislike smooth blue line tracks and processional racing. Most of all I will not spend my hard earned cash on foregone conclusions. I believe a lot more fans have the same opinion. Poole will win --- sad but true. I will not be attending and I know a few others who have said the same.
  6. Once upon a time a thread like this would have generated a lot of interest and banter but with such an inevitably about the result and a drop in crowds makes it a bit of a non starter. Poole to win.
  7. Awful night for James -- let's hope he's blown the cobwebs away and has a better night tomorrow.
  8. As much as I would love to look forward to a new Coventry speedway track I ain't holding my breath. They didn't help themselves either on Friday with the lack of communication from the promoter re the riders not being able/bothered to meet their fans --- many of whom may have been kids wanting to meet their favourite rider. I'm now planning to make some trips to Belle Vue when possible. Can anyone advise me if the track is close to a railway or coach station please?
  9. I wasn't around at the time but I did read the biography. Mental health issues were prevelant
  10. There's a LOT of Seniors who attend speedway too!
  11. I have no intention to argue but I can 100% assure you that he did say that and my husband heard it too --- for once (unfortunately) the microphone was working loud and clear!. I think he said it as he probably thought it would raise a laugh. The only thing it raised were eyebrows and not just mine. However a new season is about to start and I look forward to our 2016 season whatever it may bring. UP THE BEES!!
  12. And the proof is in the pudding --- his results in the G.P's and his fitness levels. He's probably good at fencing also (the sport of course)
  13. I love to see Bomber when he is at his best on track and he's grown on me in the last couple of seasons as his consistency has improved. I think it's a crime when he opens his mouth on occasions though. Did anybody else hear him proudly announce at 2015 p&p day that he hadn't been near a gym or sat on a speedway bike all winter? We then wonder why he can be slow to start the season! Love or hate Nicki Pedersen -- you would never hear him say that! Somebody must also have had a word with Bomber about taking laps of honour and giving the fans a wave as this now happens regularly and is very much appreciated. Let his racing do the talking.
  14. Oh dear Gemini you are at great risk of upsetting the ''I love Bomber because he's the greatest'' brigade. I bet you're shaking in your boots!!! I sincerely hope that Bomber will sign for Coventry because in the absence of any news on a new track the Bees fans need something to look forward to.
  15. Do riders want to sign for Coventry when the future looks so bleak?
  16. Will we run in 2016? Getting very concerned now
  17. Looking forward to this --- me and my other half will be there -- we've always enjoyed watching and supporting the youngsters race but have been unable to attend as much as we would have liked this season.Go STORM
  18. I respect and understand your comments about Big Fat Dave.I cringed when I saw some of the posts he made particularly towards the end of his life. I met and understood a different Dave before drugs. I miss his humour and trust me he wasn't all bad. I miss SOME of his earlier postings on the forum. I have met many supposedly ''nice'' people in life who have never battled with demons --- often they are churchgoers too who claim to be Christians. I view these vile morons as sugar coated people (sweet on the outside but don't dwell to deep). Maybe because of my profession I am able to understand what makes people behave the way they do. What you see is what you get is my preference in the human race. I followed S.S. posts for quite some time before he 'disappeared' and I have never missed him. As you say --- each to their own. Gemini --- I have followed pretty much all of your postings and I know you personally too. I have always admired your knowledge and I love your ability to put people at ease as well as being able to take the p**s of yourself --- usually unnecessarily so as you are one very intelligent person. On this occasion we will have to agree and disagree.
  19. Just stating whose posts I miss more. S.S. (pure as driven snow) will be lapping up this attention on his 'comeback' for sure.
  20. I won't be popular for saying this but I wish we were riding in the premier league. More ''racing'' less egos and no worries about riders in the G.P.'s
  21. Totally agree --- particularly this season as I haven't attended as many meetings as I usually do.
  22. Here's hoping Fraud Matt ends up with a couple of bad hair days when The Mighty Aces win tonight (pleeeeeeeaase)
