  1. If both are rained off, do Scorpions win the league on home and away aggregate from earlier league encounters at Somerset and Scunthorpe.
  2. Well there's a suprise! Ringers, what ringers-ding ding round 3 Worky boys an girls.
  3. First and foremost I am a Scorpion supporter. I want to see us in the final . With all due respect Tommy is not up to PL level as even the most fervent Tommy supporter ,friend ,family or mechanic should admit. He has had odd flashes of form for the Saints ( I have watched him all season too) and I am sure, given time he may well come more to the fore, however as far as being in the Monarchs line up, the Comets must be rubbing their hands. This is not the time to be put up against a full strength Comet team in such a crucial match that affects the Scorpions league final aspirations. It puts undue pressure on the lad against seasoned campaigners -I also watched Kyle and Ash come through the Saints ranks but be propelled upwards in a far more controlled fashion. I wish young Tommy well but fear Edinburgh have made a big mistake with a weaker line up-go ahead Tommy and make me eat my words and score a maximum
  4. Tommy Fenwick can hardly hold down a Saints reserve spot, he is not PL standard by a long way, surely much stronger option available?
  5. Me neither, thought about going home after 10 heats at Mildenhall- so glad I stayed!!!
  6. Scunny can do no more ,only wait for Worky to beat Monarchs at home then Monarchs to beat Worky at home. We then go through to final with dare I say it ...Somerset.But then if Rebels lose at home the Lions are back in the frame.... It used to be so much easier when one with most points won the league, but play off finals are great atmosphere- Well Saints v Mildenhall was last year.
  7. Think we can all write of Nick Morris ( If he is available) for next year's plans the way Rob was talking yesterday regardingNick's Poland jolly.
  8. Racing incidents happen and I saw it too. Several of our riders have been badly injured from the first meeting of the season till now-we currently are missing 3 heat leaders if you have not noticed.
  9. Oh dear points tonight now look in doubt, but good look to the Scorpions-or alternative chuck it down with rain all weekend.
  10. If it fits: Josh Ash Thomas Michael Nick Gary Young/Bunyan
  11. First pick Worky? Monarchs an easier tie in my opinion.
  12. One mile from track-rain just stopped, local forecast is showers to die out and sunny spells but cold.
  13. Think this one will be a nail biter, Redcar on their day are a good side and Scorpions without Jorgy Worgy are weaker than normal-hope Skiddy can do the business?
  14. Cleggmeister was awesome giving Tony Atkin a gentle shove, sooo funny.
  15. No disrespect to Richie but he is not Elite standard yet.
  16. Squall will have defected to Scunny by July and will be" looking after " Jorgy Worgy.
  17. So my comments are all wrong ,don't think so. Irving Injured, Worrals flying off to Aus, Birks unavailable so not much of a team left and title all ready won. No will not be at this one, but was at Mildenhall last week ,have seen all the Scorpion and Saints home meetings this season plus several away as well. Have watched lots of the amateur meetings during the winter and will do again this winter, weather permitting. So all in all I have served my club well throughout the year and am entitled to say we have put out a weak side for a none event- which even our promotion is saying is a training/learning event for some riders not used to this level. Would be interested to know what the attendance was for an end of season match with no points to really fight for. To all the riders taking part well done, as a competitive match you decide.
  18. According to Scunthorpe website it is Rider Replacement for number 1 not Ash. Meeting looks more like a youngsters challenge match and bit of a damp squib to end on.
  19. Just got back after a 320mile round trip. After engine failures and 3 falls when in point scoring positions I thought we had blown our chances. Our luck was out,Ref was questionable and Ash was trying his damdest to burst the same airbag on bend two. But then, we got it together in the last few heats to need a 5-1 to give Scunfield the title in heat 15. What a nail biter with Richie holding off the ever charging Cameron Heeps for 4 laps- a magnificent end to a great meeting. A fine advert for speedway- Think my daughter summed the meeting up after a 2 and a half hour drive back, when she said " Dad i'm still buzzing!!!!"
