Birks is more of a team player, David Howe looked well miffed with his whole team and management all night at Sheffield on Thursday. I would leave Birks in and let Howe go myself, if averages fit .
-
More like Thomas Jorgenson being the sacrifice than Auty or Birks. He would do you a good job at Sheffield too.

Hope Josh and Ash show some form or we will get stuffed big time. -
Are these from German or Japanese league???

If we ever went down the line of "Referee's Assistant", in my opinion they need to be stood on bend 1 since thats where 75% of start incidents occur. That is first bend bunching, leaning on each other or just sliding off untouched.

Edinburgh Vs Scunthorpe (pl) 2/5/14

Thanks to our two guests for your useful contributions, as for our own team members-what the F*** is going on, 15 points between you all is not good enough!!! Another team talk from Rob is required and sorry Matt, its a season too soon for you. -
What they had two tactical rides to get them back in. Who is worried about Tommy and Cap'n Birks not me? TJ at reserve will be mega points for him. I am more worried about daylight track drying out and losing what little home advantage we have on every Sunday and Bank Holiday meeting, looking forward to usual Friday night race nights.

Scunny already do let students in for £5,rest of the leagues should follow their example.

Scunthorpe V Cradley (national League) 13th April 2014
scunny1 replied to Ommer Mon's topic in National League Speedway
Scunthorpe is a working town who's major employer has shed hundreds of jobs recently. Add in all the contracting firms who have also lost out locally because of the Steel Industry downturn and it is clear to see money is tight in the town. Do you really expect the paying fans to pay out for Premier League meeting home and away and National League meetings home and away. The lucky few might be able to afford, but in reality most cannot. Premier League is not much of a lesser standard than Elite, however the gulf betwen Premier and National League is in my opinion huge. I will pay to watch Premier league because it is a better product and I have that choice. If I only had a National League side to watch locally then I would support them. You pays your money and takes your choice, double headers Prem and National league for us are good value. -
Well done Tigers on your win, could not attend due to airport run so making my judgement from what I can deduce. Scorpions sadly missing our Aussie, match won and lost at reserves. Wish we could get someone of Andre's calibre as a ringer, you are in my Fantasy team so keep it up. Both teams will feature in top 6 barring injuries.

Damn, got to change all my Fantasy teams again!!! Good to have some positive news about Ryan.

Will You Be Back At Sheffield In 2014
scunny1 replied to MWC's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Huge city, with many satellite towns surrounding it, I am also perplexed why attendances are so low at Owlerton. What bugs me most is trying to get out after a meeting and traffic lights on to Penistone road letting out about 3 vehicles, before they change back to red. My record for longest wait to get onto A61 is 48 minutes for what 250 yards? Still looking forward to our local derby though -
Top 6 in no order Monarchs Witches Panthers Comets Scorpions Yorkshire Tigers Having said all that I think all teams look quite evenly matched this season. Just a case of keeping injury free wins titles in my opinion.
-
From what I can glean of the Sheffield line up it looks a strong team and defo one of the league contenders. Good luck to our local rivals, but don't to gel as a team until after the Scorpions opening match with you Tigers!
-
Is one of 'em Captain Birks then?
-
You are going to be so spoilt at the EWR racing against the Scorpions-big wide open spaces and racing lines a plenty
