  1. On the whole, it wasn’t actually that bad a meeting, but having to sit in that heat for 5 hours watching mainly tractor racing was terrible. forecast hot weather for weeks, the track needed a load of moisture but the water truck looked like it had been hit with a hosepipe ban! the ref, wow. Spent more time inside than actually watching what was going on, to exclude Grahn for being under power when he fell after he’d put the red light on summed it up! For the Kvech incident he wasn’t trackside while the reruns were shown, not that you’d need them. Conveniently shot off as soon as the meeting was ‘called’ which was also a farce! Called after 20 when the leader had looped at the start, several of the crashes towards the end were down to rider error, not the track. all in all a pi$$ poor display from what had been a good weekend and robbed Brennan and the very impressive Flint of a shot at winning
  2. Just getting back into town, has anyone figured out what gates are open for today?
  3. Some big lessons learnt when it comes to gate choices at the crunch over the weekend but to be the only nation to come with a medal in both events is not to be overlooked! after the first 2 heats in semi 1 a silver seemed impossible! A few great performances across the board and great seeing the Poles taken down a peg or two! Can Tai get Brennan in at Wrocław next season for some practice?
  4. Happy to be wrong on that! Still poor not to have a stand by ready knowing that he had been hurt and more than likely wouldn't be fit for today
  5. I'm sure given the choice he'd have stayed to ride, if the injury was yesterday, as reported, they were all still there! My understanding was that there cannot be a replacement, hence the moan about 3 rider races if there is an injury
  6. Out on the push bike with the Poles it seemed on SM Does seem a ridiculous rule that if he is actually injured that Brennan/u21 from last night can't complete the side, god forbid one of the other lads gets a knock in the meeting its game over and another fantastic advert for the sport with 3 man races
  7. Can’t imagine there’s anyone on here that expected Lambert to be back out in that race! Kelvin and Louis seemed pretty shocked too
  8. Getting them is half the battle, getting in is another! Although that been said, getting into a concert there recently was a lot smoother than the last GP there which took almost an hour to get into
  9. I still follow every result here, Poland, Sweden, Denmark and further afield and usually grab the star if there's something about a rider I like to watch. Myself and the old man will always do Cardiff as it's only 5 mins down the road, my brother and uncle also come who haven't been regularly since the 80s! Main reason for not attending regularly now is owners closing tracks chasing money, Newport, Somerset etc and no Swindon. Not for want of trying, just lack of availability and time to travel 2/3 hours each way. Last time we took my brother to Somerset to see a rider who was guesting that we'd been raving about we got there and the BSPA had ruled him out last minute and it hadn't been made public...safe to say he hasn't been bothered outside of a GP since!
  10. Glad it isn’t just me, he’s so predictable it’s frightening how no one hasn’t worked it out.
  11. Surely Auty and Shanes for Starke and Wright would be the choice? I believe there's been no confirmed date on Auty's return and puts Nielsen back to reserve with Pearson
  12. I don’t think that’s the point, they’ve talked endlessly about developing youth and giving them a chance to develop, then use an as usual underperforming Harris. Ellis shouldn’t have got that many rides either.
  13. So Brennan got dragged all the way over to not get a spin with Harris scoring just 4 from 5 on his ‘home track’ and Ellis having a stinker All about the youth this set up!
  14. There’s some of us who would just be happy to have their track back! We won one trophy in 14 years but I’d rather be watching the likes Marek Mroz, Barry Evans and Schrammy giving it everything again than winning the league even once
  15. I had a copy and never got it to work, something that would work on a modern pc/laptop/tablet would be amazing.. There are Youtube guides on how to get the old Championship Manager games and the library that you can choose from looks extensive, could be worth looking at those process' to see if its available, I'll post the link if I can dig it out
  16. Would be interesting to see how many heats he came to the tapes in the UK last season compared to everyone else. looking through the updates site 163 total starts (inc 2 rain offs) 36 of those in individual meetings and 15 as a guest. Was surprised that he only had 3 guest bookings last year, 2 at Sheffield and 1 at Leicester!
  17. Felt for Brando on that on your could hear the instant realisation in his voice. Didn't Crumpy also confirm Iversen was in for the rest of the season before a few moments awkward silence as Kelv tried to move on from it?
  18. Unfortunately the detail feels way too specific to be a horrific rumour
  19. 1, Kyle Bickley 8.75 2, Joe Thompson 8.52 3, Henry Atkins 5.86 4, Sam Hagon 5.75 5, George Rothery 4.92 6, Luke Killeen 3.00 7, Archie Freeman 3.00 39.8
  20. Slightly off topic but has Holder pulled out of the series? He is still listed on the SGP website but the press pictures that have started to come out don't seem to have him in them but do have Miskowiak?
  21. I've seen quite a few although I think it's a little more 'techy' now. There was a picture of Lambert and his mechanics with a good old notepad in the pits on some social media pics this year. Nicki P looks to have been using telemetry software in preseason to show lines, reaction times and where he's picked up the most speed.
