Plenty of rider's are questioning this deal now. Apparently no prices are being given out to interested parties on parts & servicing. I just have an inkling the the price will vary on supply of engines, if you purchase direct at full value you'll be paying less on parts & servicing than you will buying the "cheaper" BSPA deal.

Seriously, if you haven't got anything positive to say say nothing at all. It's not a thread about "all thing are rosie" but more that there are good things about modern Speedway rather than all negative.

Good News Story: In 2017 there will be a minimum of 26 British riders declared starters in the top division from 9 clubs As little as 2013 there were were only 15 from 10 clubs Can only be a good thing imo Maybe you'd feel you'd got better value if you watched a whole meeting first?

1. Yes, 3 riders only as an offence can only be committed twice. 2. As above, 3 riders only as it's deemed a 2nd offence. 3. Yes & no - in the 2016 EL at least in the 1st 14 heats, if a rider is already occupying gate 4 from 15m only a reserve switch or 3 riders only is available if a different rider cause the offence. In Heat 15 if a rider commits a starting offence they can go from 15 meters in their original gate position (gates 1-4) or use a reserve replacement. All 4 riders in heat 15 can effectively start from 15 meters.

So, whoever takes over Belle Vue is in the cow pat then because if 1900 isn't viable with the reduction in top league standards there's no hope. Most clubs get nowhere near 1900 a meeting

Hang on a minute. So, you're saying Rosco can't go on holiday and have a bit of fun in the off season? The season finished 2 months ago, the AGM finished a month ago, team building since plus the added worries of a stadium etc.

That misses the point. Obviously you'd buy that calendar because you like Ola. As an example - if you're an Edinburgh fan and bought the 2017 calendar you might have to stare at Glasgow's Bewley for month

The price is not scaremongering at all. It's the insurers value at rectifying to previous standard. Whether Sandhu still has the stuff in storage is irrelevant as insurance companies have to value new for old, especially electrical equipment.

If individual meetings were the only meetings left in the uk stadiums will shut down. Top rider's still wouldn't turn up as they'd be meaningless meetings to flyin and out for and fans would soon get bored as there's nothing / nobody to support with amateur riders filling in. 1 a month / 2 months would never pull in the 5-6000 spectators required.

A pointless thread but they just p!$$ me off and had to say so. I just don't get them, 2017 calendars with 2016 riders that ain't there next season or 2017 riders in opposition racesuit colours. Seeing them advertised on social media just irritates me. It's such a stupid thing but one of those very very small small things that some reason makes me steam. I just think "poor bar-stewards who get ripped off buying out of date tat before the first day of its required use."

I haven't seen anything that says the engines are sealed. Who says it's illegal to open one up? Doesn't it have to be an FIM directive on legality with engines. BSPA/SCB can't set their own rules on engine manufacturers? If they're sealed units, if one goes bang are we saying that's bin material and a new one has to be purchased?
