  1. I'd happily claim my little nudge in Rosco's direction on Twitter helped push that statement through. Gotta have a little bit of a claim to Speedway fame
  2. It wasn't about justifying it or not, it was the context in which it was delivered in why we don't see the massive issue or need for an apology. If he'd have gone on the mic and gave it large "You're a load of fookin s#!+ fans" then the meltdown would have been justified. He was happy, the crowd in the stadium was happy. That should have been the end of it right there but it was the haters that totally lapped it up
  3. None of us 'Woffy fans' have ever said he's a saint. Nobody would argue that he is But we accept him for what he is. His swearing, tattoo's, ear gauging etc We get & understand it's not to peoples taste, especially the older folk, It's the bull crap that he doesn't set good examples to the younger generation that's just absolutely pathetic. If hard work, dedication to being ultra fit & the Worlds best multiple times isn't good enough then there really is a problem as there's not much else you could do. Everything else the haters are chucking at him is absolutely irrelevant as every human being has their own tastes & personality I don't think you'll see a young rider interviewed swearing, inked up, ears gauged just to be like Woffinden.
  4. Yet Woffinden the rider & Woffinden the man you absolutely put together as one but Carter the man who's a murderer you want to forget Brilliant Not 2 faced there at all
  5. There you go, so why isn't Lindbäck getting the same stick in Sweden? Woffy is British with a British passport but people are still calling him out as an Aussie
  6. See on Twitter Phil Lanning's sister has hit on a brilliant comparison Tour De France winner Chris Froome was born & raised in Kenya & South Africa and competed for Kenya at U23 level and in his 1st Tour De France was competing as a Kenyan.
  7. I wonder if Antonio Lindbäck (Brazilian) gets the same kind of stick in Sweden that Woffy gets in the UK?
  8. I believe from looking, these 2 Robert's may have raced a 16yo Mark Loram Robert Ledwith Robert Tilbury
  9. I assume you was with Adam yesterday? Was it the talk that Tai & Robert wasn't around our was it not a problem to anyone? Was it late notice the practice? You could possibly nail this shut
  10. There's a lot of words to get on there, not sure he has the space for all this: Australians all let us rejoice For we are young and free We've golden soil and wealth for toil Our home is girt by sea Our land abounds in nature's gifts Of beauty rich and rare In history's page let every stage Advance Australia fair In joyful strains then let us sing Advance Australia fair Beneath our radiant Southern Cross We'll toil with hearts and hands To make this Commonwealth of ours Renowned of all the lands For those who've come across the seas We've boundless plains to share With courage let us all combine To advance Australia fair In joyful strains then let us sing Advance Australia fair
  11. Star Lady to sing the National Anthem at the NSS this weekend. Make it happen
  12. I'm with you guys: I hate the rules but can't help when something crops up I love looking it up I hate the current EL format but love talking about it I hate the way the sport is run but love keeps me coming back I hate the way my club is run but the love it too It's a fully blown love hate relationship. Speedway, 1 in a million
  13. Just to cheer up robert72, Woffy was getting a tattooing done today
  14. Practice sessions are less about track time and more about team camaraderie. Just meeting up for the Race-Off isn't enough in my opinion
  15. Ruml was used last season by USA at King's Lynn. Should have gone with him again unless the financial situation had changed
  16. Plenty, especially at the start of the season when there's no Poland or Sweden In the Elite Pairs on the Saturday you could have all EL sides plus guest teams like Piraterna, Vetlanda, Wroclaw, Torùn etc.
  17. It could work but it'll have to be run early season prior to the Polish Ekstraliga starting. Could be Elite Pairs on the Saturday ELRC on the Sunday Other than that it's simply not possible in the calendar
  18. It just occurred to me on a serious note, with you being such an advocate of the SRBF did you suffer any bad injuries in your time? It would make sense to why it would bother you as to why riders don't do it
  19. Depends how you see long term planning. A rider going out and learning on trick tracks could be good for the future
  20. Agree, Ford cherry picks talent where the riders development has nothing to do with Poole IMO. They're pretty much ready made riders From Premier League to Elite League, there's not a lot in it in terms of stardards For me, the rider's don't further develop until they hit the Polish Ekstraliga & or Swedish Elitserien It's the same at King's Lynn with Robert Lambert. I do not believe he's improved from riding the EL compared to the PL. I think he's improved this season because he's had tasters of the Elitserien league, especially his gating.
