  1. So, were do people think we're at in making the Play-Off's? Is the growth in optimism a false dawn? The remaining fixtures: Away: Poole x2 - All others once more Home: Poole x2 Swindon Wolverhampton Lakeside Looking at the remaining home fixtures there's still some potential home defeats on the cards and we're 6 points off a Play-Off spot
  2. The 1 thing that will make things tough for the Stars that were evident from Thursday night. Gating, our track offered a route to pass, Leicester's is less likely to do so. We are the stronger team by a mile but do let ourselves down with our gating often. 46-44 either way
  3. Round 1 (Vojens, Denmark) Russia (Red) 1 Grigori Laguta 2 Emil Sayfutdinov Poland (Blue) 2 Patryk Dudek 4 Bartosz Zmarzlik Czech Republic (White) 1 Josef Franc 4 Vaclav Milik Denmark (Yellow) 2 Leon Madsen 4 Niels-Kristian Iversen Round 2 (Vastervik, Sweden) Australia (Red) 3 Max Fricke 4 Jason Doyle USA (Blue) 1 Greg Hancock 2 Ryan Fisher Germany (White) 1 Kevin Wolbert 2 Kai Huckenbeck Sweden (Yellow) 1 Antonio Lindback 2 Fredrik Lindgren
  4. And it should have been worse for Leicester. The only shining lights were Wozniak (would love to see him in Stars colours) & Starke. Again thought Rose was brilliant tonight in the main body and it is nice to see Batchelor come to life. When he's up for it he's great to watch Play-Off charge is on
  5. Pretty sure that'll be a Redbull sponsored promo thing as they'd done it before, going up a mountain I think it was
  6. I've been told your team is right. I guess just wait until we rock up and it's announced
  7. Wilkinson will ride under his own team position / average in reserve as he's still a team member. Lewis Rose will move into the main team as his average is higher than Jakobsen's 1. Iversen 2. Rose 3. Schlein 4. Batchelor 5. Lambert 6. Jakobsen 7. Wilkinson
  8. Wilkinson isn't dropped by anyone, he remains a squad member. Lambert's average is higher than Rose's so counts towards the teams total. Because Rose has the lowest of the Tier 2 averages he's the rider effectively replacing Wilkinson Teams can choose either a squad member or guest for a injured EDR's and we've gone with a guest Nothing to see here
  9. Marmande is on the FIM calendar http://www.fim-live.com/en/sport/calendar/international-long-grass-track-racing-meetings/
  10. I think Poole have been dealt a harsh blow there. If there's a sick note for tonight, it's irrelevant if he rides tomorrow or not. It's about today
  11. In your opinion. I repeat, it's not Tai's job or any sports person / celebrity etc to be a role model. They're individual people like everyone else that have worked hard & earned the rights to extra privileges. If any child uses any form of celebrity as role models then the parents have failed. Tai's tattoo's, ears, face, shoes, fingernails, foul language etc have no barring on influencing youngsters. This is Speedway and it's his Speedway that does the talking, I have no doubt he'll be idolised by some but only for his Speedway because he's bloody good at it It's a very sad if he has to be prejudiced against because of his appearance. Those prejudices are no different to jibes given to over / under weight people. In fact, those prejudices are actually more offensive than the "Make some fookin noise" speech he made as he wasn't being derogatory to anyone.
  12. Was there sabotage, I'm not so sure as it just doesn't make sense for it to of happened to Iversen. Also, it wouldn't of been mistaken identity either as all the riders names are plastered around their pit areas so that doesn't add up. But for the purpose that some shenanigans has gone on, one of the questions is when it could of possibly happened. I'd say during the rider introductions with a few of the riders mechanics milling around the pit gate watching.
  13. Sounds like a very proud Brit to me http://monsterenergyswc.com/news/article/5028/swc/woffy-hails-cardiff-crowd
  14. Should be a thrashing, if we score anything less than 55 points it'll be disappointing
  15. The M.E.N. Manchester has the largest permanent seating capacity at around 19,500
  16. It seems Coventry fans missed the point & opportunity of last night. There's no better way of showing support than live on TV. As I's already said, it was a night to put aside how crap the team & management are but to support the stadium use. An opportunity to make a nuisance behind the Sky studio, invade the track to wave banners & flags etc. I'm sure the fans could of found £10 for the night and stuck their fingers up to the management for the rest of the season. The 'Save' campaign may as well just give up, a chance missed imo
  17. Serious head time: On any normal Sky meeting night I can fully understand why people don't go but tonight wasn't a normal night. It was highly promoted and not just by the club, as an ideal time to show support for the the stadium and the Bees to remain in front of live TV. Thoughts about the team, the management etc should have been put aside for 1 night but instead it came across as the Bees fans couldn't give a flying fig about their future. If any of the stadium owners, potential builders, council management etc were watching they'd be like "let's just get those houses built". Feel for the people running the 'Save' campaign tonight, a real kick in the teeth for their efforts. Pathetic
  18. Oh my giddy aunt........ Breaaaaaaaaaaaaath I was expecting to have a right flip out on here but Batchelor saved the day. Cancelled or the home defeat to the Bees so onwards and upwards and hopefully R.Lambert is fit for Thursday as R/R won't work
  19. I bet there are some but you know what it's like, you don't want to be the only one and feel a wally so they'll keep em' in their jackets
  20. How's the weather holding up? Heavy rain was expected, has it been and gone or still to arrive?
