  1. I don't deny most of that. At the same time he's not riding for Ipswich because he's passionate about Ipswich. It's convenient & paid handsomely. I don't think it's anything for people to get their knickers in a twist over.
  2. Never denied that. Doyle enjoys his work, loves winning races & shows undeniable commitment to every cause. Most of that is for personal pride, not to be confused with love for the club.
  3. Yep, absolutely that. Convenient. His words are that of nearly every club sports person on the planet, a bending of the truth. He has his employers, sponsors & fans to utter sweet nothings to, to make money.
  4. Done neither. Doyle's integrity & loyalty is with his family. Riding for Ipswich is a job & what he deems best for himself & family right now. Nothing to do with any love or loyalty for Ipswich &/or British Speedway.
  5. Supporters of their teams in every sport always gets sucked in by 'love it here' statements. Very few (next to zero) talk the truth about their current employer. It's absolute fact that Doyle is only at Ipswich because it works for him right now, close to home & family & paid handsomely by TruPlant. Imagine the reaction if Doyle came out with "I'm only here because of family reasons. If it was a choice I'd be elsewhere because in truth, Ipswich is a s#!thole." Supporters (in the main) are deluded in defending their badge. It's understandable but Doyle is NOT at Ipswich through his "loyalty to British Speedway."
  6. The larger/faster track clubs may fear for his capability as he struggled horrifically in 2023 with his now 5.10 average. It's a risk.
  7. I'm not sure it's about "loyalty to British Speedway" with Doyle at all. He lives reasonably local & stated many times he wants more family time throughout the season. Riding for Ipswich gives him exactly that. Nothing more, nothing less.
  8. £18,000 - £40,000 / between 50 - 200 spectators
  9. I really don't like this Tomlin geezer. There's absolutely no way Buster walked away from Peterborough with £100k+ in his pocket, absolutely no chance. Not even half that.
  10. Out the 2 i'd pick Feltz all day long. Could never be with a smackhead, so in my head there's a possibility then
  11. They would have both been 3. Gilkes being the better rider is ideal to keep at RS, that way, if he betters his average again you'll get a better benefit from his -25% in future.
  12. 1. Fricke 8.98 2. Lawson 6.41 3. Masters 7.13 4. Becker 7.03 5. Douglas 7.14 6. Kemp 3.03 7. R/S Ave: 39.72
  13. Rider's & driver's almost killing themselves is also a selling point in all motorsports, the adverts are full of crashes, so (new) fans expect it. When it doesn't happen it's deemed boring. Racing is boring without a crash Boxing is boring without a knockout Ice Hockey is boring without a smash in to the boards. Naturally, what keeps people interested & talking about sport is controversy. Without it, nobody would watch it. Controversy is what keeps people on the edge of their seats.
  14. They did say 2nd team in the league, may not of gotten away with it yet
  15. King's Lynn are the dregs experts so Birmingham should be safe for 6th at least
  16. Didn't Somerset have to drop 'Rebels' for "political correctness" reasons?
  17. Representing in the top league, surely they should be the Cheetahs & the lesser name in the Championship. Random decision to me. Oxford must have some serious backer to be running 3 leagues or the conspiracy theorist in me is thinking it's purely for the TV financial package, and Oxford withdraw from the top division after a month
  18. Every point does count when trying to make the semis?!? There's no system that Zmarzlik wouldn't make a semi final with. Everyone else just needs to be better & rough him up a bit.
