King’s Lynn vs Ipswich - Thurs 23rd May
Daniel Smith replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yep, hopefully nowhere. I'm absolutely s#!tting myself we go for him. Premier League is a different beast & he's absolutely not a good enough for Manchester United manager right now. -

The BSPL are a pathetic organisation, as their public statement concerning May 4th 2023 vs Ipswich said, the promotion were totally exonerated of wrong doing in 2023. Then state they'd been punished because of the above. Never believe "public" statements, 100% they received a suspended sentence. What I've also been told is King's Lynn cannot call off meetings without an SCB officials approval for 18 months. So, we'll see how that pans out.

None of that's an issue imo, that's happens with every social media platform. The issue with Facebook Speedway pages are people getting banned because they have a differing opinion to the page owner &/or mods. Many of these pages just end up becoming 'eco chambers'.

So a 5.60 average from a rider away from home, not bad is it. Plus the fact his numbers away isn't the concern, it's his performances at home we need but you carry on

I'd have taken Scott Nicholls over R/R to be fair. -
King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
Daniel Smith replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
10 years ago I would have agreed but he's been alongside Buster at Peterborough too, he's well aware of how it all works under that ownership so I'm not sure he cares to be honest -
King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions

That has sealed King's Lynn's fate as fighting for the coveted 'Wooden Spoon' title yet again. Embarrassing club. Apart from the visits of Sheffield & Ipswich (quality of riders) really wouldn't bother turning up. £23 a meeting with nothing to aim for. ______________________________________ Some are worried about Birmingham not seeing the season out, could the same fears be said for the Stars? -
King’s Lynn vs Sheffield, May 16th 2024
Daniel Smith replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Before I thought it was about saving pennies but it can't be. Buster is still paying wages for the away meetings but is getting nothing in from the home meetings. So it's gone the other way & he's clearly got money to burn now All very odd -
I've never had a zero to hero rider. Never disliked anyone really, the biggest panto villain vs Kings Lynn was Dave Norris & Ryan Fisher. The latter is the closest to 'Zero to Hero' I can think of when he signed for us. Overall though, I've never considered any rider a "Zero".

Would have Howarth at King's Lynn in a heartbeat to replace Palm-Toft -
All I read from his post was 'It was everyone else's fault' he got caught again. None of that s#!te made any sense at all. Just the typical xyz all criminals come out with:- "I have no idea how that got there" "??? made me do it" "I was waiting / going to see a mate" Utter tripe spouted

The whole of British Speedway is in a precarious position right now. It really needs a billionaire to turn it around. Nobody likes it but Buster is trying to make sure every meeting is profitable. The cost of getting rider's over to be called off is expensive. Pre-meeting preparation for a call off is expensive. 200-300 fans not turning up on grey days with the threat of being ripped off through forcing through 10 heats is expensive. For a promoter to make a profit (paying away cost too) has to be guaranteed near perfect conditions. Everyone hates it, but I don't blame Buster either for doing it.

Nope, crimes against children ARE by far the worst

SCB wouldn't have been a topic until the nonce reappeared. His reappearance has also highlighted a conversation that a 'Leopard never changes it spots'.

Just think about many speedway fans in general. Old men with clipboards doing scorecards & loft full of programmes. In any other setting you say "I'm not letting them anywhere near my kids." This thread has really made me think speedway is an uncomfortable place for kids & teenagers. Could this be what this age group feel when they turn up to meetings?? Rather than the racing's crap, could it be that feeling they're being watched?? It's made me think, never crossed my mind before this

Cracking action?!? Things have gotten really bad at King's Lynn if that's the level of thrilling action

You questioned the importance. When Wojdylo has a near 8 average at home, as reserve, able to take 7 rides it's very very clear his importance. No guest could cover that loss. Stupid comparison. King's Lynn don't need Wojdylo to look after the opposition reserves. Wojdylo is needed to deal with opposition 2nd strings & heat leaders because the current middle order is appalling to deal with it themselves. At home, while at reserve (which he currently won't be next month) Wojdylo is AAAAAAABSOLUUUUUUUUUUTELY MAAAAAAAAAAAASSIVELY important to King's Lynn winning their home meetings. Surely you understand that, no???
