  1. He changed all his equipment from Jawa to GM. The set up is completely different. Add into that his injuries, it will take time to get back to his best & at the end of the season he was.
  2. Riders over paid???? You have to be kidding right. If a heatleaders on £80 per point and averages 9.5 for 33 matches they just scrape over £25,000 a season. That is peanuts when you start counting the costs of buy equipment & servicing. I personally thing they should be earning twice that but there isn't enough people coming through the turnstiles to justify it.
  3. Having a think as to next years side and I think it going to be a very cheap side as all the money has been laid out on having Bjerre in the team with hope on improvement (average 2011 +/-) 1, Topinka 7.64 (+1.5) 2, Roynon 3.85 (+2.00) 3, Smith 6.23 (+1.00) 4, Schramm 6.21 (+1.00) 5, Bjerre 7.00 (-1.00) 6, Mallett 3.80 (+1.5) 7, Lambert 3.47 (+2.00) 8, Knight 3.00 Total Average 38.20 (46.2)
  4. Bad example. Darcy Ward was an asset to the club and we made a few grand out of that sale. When your a feeder club for the EL the least you should expect is a loan fee to be paid in. We can't alway blame the BSPA for everything. The Bjerre's & Peterborough knew the situation. Lasse only needs 1 more league meeting and then he becomes an asset. The Bjerre's could have said like Darcy Ward that King's Lynn is the club that has given him the chance so he'll stay signed to us. Darcy can be an idiot and I'm not his biggest fan at all but he made sure we came out OK from his sale. No idea. Yep, that's a first
  5. Don't like to say it but didn't I already tell you that
  6. It allows the club to keep admission prices down, finance a more competitive team, improve facilities i.e. 2 years on the trot we'll have a World Cup meeting & most importantly we have speedway to watch. The sale of riders contribute to all of that Some people just like to watch good speedway and I'd put you in that category. I support the club as a whole and what comes in and out is very important as well as the team & racing. I don't wish to know all the details but to see the asset base increase and seeing riders sold is all healthy stuff. Those that take their eye off the affects of the club will be the first banging on the door complaining they've lost their speedway club.
  7. Who riders belong to should matter. We all like to see riders develop and move on to the next level. Nobody has a problem with that but PL clubs rely allot on their assets. The more successful ones anyway. If the PL became a league of loanee's it would fold in an instant. Regarding Bjerre, I don't think anyone would have had a problem if we'd known from the start that he'd be a Peterborough asset but no, Peterborough him from under our noses as an asset because he's shown promise. This after we'd been told he'd signed a 2 year contract along with Roynon. People are frustrated because the club has lost out and in my opinion it shows a lack of respect for the club by Peterborough & the Bjerre's. People don't mind the club being a feeder for the EL with the younger riders, that's the way it is but we want to see a return for it. Now, we get nothing.
  8. Problem is, if we get a new Aussie in and he shows any promise, an EL team will shove a contract in front of his face, offer him the World & that would be another one lost. It's just going to go on & on & on until PL clubs put their foot down on this.
  9. Rubbish in it how the EL can do that. I'm just intrigued now if we're changing race night's or Bjerre isn't going to ride in Denmark. Just remembering back to when we were in the EL and had Nicki Pedersen. I can't remember him missing a meeting apart from injury and we rode Wednesday night's then as well didn't we?????
  10. I know exactly what ya mean. I've just been orders to leave to computer to settle down with the Mrs to watch Factor. It's the only time we talk
  11. We'll have to see. I say again, at no point did I say he'll sign for us, only that he was offered. Has he signed for Newcastle yet. NO. Would he say at the Newcastle D&D he doesn't want to be there. NO. Did I suggest that he didn't want to be there. NO. Edited. Actually I did but that's how I'd written it but it wasn't meant to come across that way He's been offered a place in Poland and you know he has yourself. If he takes that job it may alter his option to be at Newcastle & have no choice but to ride elsewhere. As I said, we'll have to wait and see.
  12. Possibly, but to say admission prices will stay the same when the statement didn't actually say that. Saying they'd like to keep the the same could end up being due to costs they have no choice but to put them up. First and foremost the club is run as a business.
  13. I would just like to make it clear. Nowhere in the statement does is say the admission prices WILL be the same. It says "I would like to see our admission prices remain the same for next season".
  14. Even so, I'd still like to see a statement from the club on the situation
  15. The promotion were very quick to put a statement out regarding Doolan. I hope they do the same with the Bjerre situation. As I've said before, now he's not going to be our asset we should look elsewhere for a rider and forget about Bjerre. One thing our club has been brilliant at is having our own assets and now we could end up using 3 loan riders in 2011. Bjerre & Roynon will both contain loan fees and with releasing Doolan we'll have a loan fee on a heatleader. Expense we could do without
  16. The problem is, Lasse wasn't anyones asset at the time. He'd only signed the deal with peterborough last week I understand. That changes everything. The fact that his Danish fixtures come first must also be an issue
  17. More Breaking News Panthers fans can also confirm this (if they were listening) During the announcement that Lasse Bjerre was to become a Panthers asset, it was said that he WILL be riding for his Danish club on Wednesday's and looking at doubling up for the Panthers once he's LOWERED his average to 6 or less. It was also mentioned that no agreement has been made with a PL club for next season as yet. WTF is going on????????
  18. Trust me, it isn't a done deal. Bach has a Polish club lined up and has been advised that he is required to fulfil 80% of there fixtures. He's waiting to see if he can get a deal with a mid week track over here. If he does, he'll sign the deal with his potential Polish club & not return to Newcastle. The Polish club has given him 2 weeks to make his decision
  19. I would just like to reiterate to some that he's only been offered to King's Lynn as a mid week track. At no point did I say he's signed The main part of the news is that he will not be at Newcastle next season unless they change there race night. Just thought I'd make that clear
  20. So does Lasse Bjerre's club doesn't it. That's why a few of our meetings last season got shifted around
  21. Can only reveal the news not my tomato. If they were revealed I'd never get the news anymore to share with the world would I
  22. Breaking News Rene Bach has told Peterborough that he doesn't want to return to Newcastle as he want to join a Polish club full time which rules him out of Sunday meetings. Peterborough with Rene's permission has offered his services to King's Lynn as a mid week track
  23. Kevin Doolan the new Ryan Fisher. Man, he's gonna get it when he returns BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
