  1. Unfortunately, just being grateful in is what's killing the sport. It is literally just down to the diehards with some bringing their grand(kids). As a former diehard, I just couldn't take being mugged off any longer & British Speedway is falling deeper in to a disastrous state. I'm not longer shocked or saddened by track closures. The finger of blame has to stop being pointed at negative comments &/or those not attending. The focus is 100%, on those running the sport. If the Promoters are not interested in listening then there are consequences.
  2. May be but is he that much better than Mulford??
  3. The unprofessionalism of the club rearing it's ugly head again
  4. To be fair, the Exstraliga barely interfere at all. We only have Doyle & Holder from that league. We're now fighting with eWinner 1 Liga which is still a better standard than the Premiership.
  5. Regularly, it was the reason the 28 day ban was introduced. We forced rider's to pick the UK or lose a months wages. Only within the last 15yrs rider's haven't given an F about it to ride in Poland's top 2 tiers.
  6. There wasn't many complaint 20-30yrs ago when we were the dictators. The issue isn't Poland, the issue is our own (head in the sand) ego's screaming foul play. The true reality of World League Speedway we're about 5th in the rankings. 1. Exstraliga 2. Elitserien 3. Dansk Speedway Liga 4. Bundesliga 5. Premiership
  7. Of course it's legal. If anything, Iversen has been riding illegally, breaking his Polish contract agreeing he won't participate in more than 3 leagues
  8. It's only protected from a T/S. Reserve switches still happen
  9. He is. His average is currently 7.38 until Wednesday. Iversen's new average is effective immediately at 7.33. Lawson then moves to No1 from Wednesday
  10. It kind of does if you're reliant on wildcard picks to maintain a SGP spot. I think people need to be a bit more respectful but I don't think it's unfair to say Lambert isn't good enough. I said 4/5yrs ago that Lambert will be another Chris Harris & I still won't change my mind from that. Saying all that, I'll not right him off just yet from a top 6 spot but he has to get his finger out quick, he won't get the wildcard again imo
  11. May be the track & only the 1st set of heats, but, looking at this lot I wouldn't expect any of these to be future World Champions
  12. Unless the leading rider did a total lockup, the rider dehind will always be excluded for a collision. I'm not seeing why folk are getting their knickers in a twist over it. Ellis at fault, end of
  13. To which Lawson had the right to do as the leading rider. There is no rule to say 'a slower rider must allow a faster rider to pass without challenge.'
  14. People talking about the concept being wrong because of a small turn out. I'm of the opposite view. Crowd numbers at the venue are pretty much irrelevant, similarly to how greyhound racing works today. If there were 2500+ watching via streaming @ £13, this competition has started with flying colours. 3/400 at the stadium, 1900 online etc, it's a success. No longer will promoter be to concerned by paying punters at the gate as long as there's a gradual uptick in streaming purchases
  15. Is it true there's serious concern around the club over attendances?? Are they way down??
  16. The point is, it's encouraging to the rest of the league that Sheffield are vulnerable. On paper they should have hit you for 50+ comfortably.
  17. After 2 rounds, need to scrap qualifing for 2023. Absolutely pointless & boring viewing. Just do round 1 riding order as an 'out the hat' draw then every round after that should be defined by the reverse finishing order of the previous round. 15th = 1st pick, 14th = 2nd & so on. 16th (Wildcard) just gets the remaining slot.
  18. Didn't say he wasn't good enough, from what we know I just don't get why he's sticking to the inside & allowing rider's to go around him for fun. He doesn't change his line unless he's forced by another, doesn't push rider's to the fence etc. If he'd be a little harder when in front of others he'd have even more points. He's just to easy to ride against.
  19. The issue for me is we all know what type of rider Lambert is (was), but this is his 2nd GP season & he's become a kerb crawler & slow. Lambert's not a great watch to be fair to @pubichair He's seriously improved his gating but his speed & racing style is concerning me A LOT.
  20. Whilst I'd agree I have concerns. The GP series is ruthless & if he doesn't make the cut-off this season I don't think he'll get a free pass again. He's concerning me because he's constantly looking for the kerb to ride round, everyone passing on the outside. He's always been a battler but he seems extremely nervous in the SGP's for some reason.
