  1. Not sure I'd go with that as he's smashing it for Poole Look at last season's heatleaders & this 2021- Belle Vue - Bewley / Kurtz / S. Worrall Ipswich - King / Cook / Crump King's Lynn - Lawson / Jorgensen / Riss P'boro - Toft / Ostergaard / Harris Sheffield - Holder / Ellis / Pickering Wolves - Masters / Schein / Morris 2022 Belle Vue - Fricke / Kurtz / Zagar Ipswich - Doyle / King / Batchelor King's Lynn - Lawson / Iversen / Pickering P'boro - Toft / Harris / Ostergaard Sheffield - Holder / Ellis / Musielak Wolves - Masters / Douglas / Morris As you can see, apart from P'boro & Wolves every other teams heatleader positions have strengthened significantly over 2021. Of course, I'm not seeing races through 'the eye test' but I feel he's being harshly spoken about considering he's got harder competition, even within his own teammates in heats. He's now got rider's who can outgate, outsmart & faster than him now.
  2. Nothing stopping him coming in, he'd make the team significantly worse though
  3. Forget last season, the team was s#¡+ and Lawson's average was inflated because of it. Iversen & Pickering are better than him so he was bound to not bag as many heat wins. Even on his current 5+, name an available rider that would come in & be better? Between 6-7 is Lawson's level. Pretty much every team is in the mud if any rider over 6 ave gets injured, because those replacements are just not there. This team will work but Worrall, Kerr & Jorgensen are the one's that need to be more consistent & Pickering needs to be much better away. We just can't replace 7+ rider's sufficiently, we try to do that the season is done.
  4. King's Lynn are best to run guests & R/R. Of course it's a risk but there are no suitable rider's available to come in as a genuine 7+ rider. Any replacement will significantly weaken the team. That's why this talk of replacing Lawson is also absurd.
  5. Team GSA's are irrelevant if replacing a single rider unless the rider is under the total team average. We can use whatever average Iversen has for a replacement.
  6. Unfortunately, just being grateful in is what's killing the sport. It is literally just down to the diehards with some bringing their grand(kids). As a former diehard, I just couldn't take being mugged off any longer & British Speedway is falling deeper in to a disastrous state. I'm not longer shocked or saddened by track closures. The finger of blame has to stop being pointed at negative comments &/or those not attending. The focus is 100%, on those running the sport. If the Promoters are not interested in listening then there are consequences.
  7. May be but is he that much better than Mulford??
  8. The unprofessionalism of the club rearing it's ugly head again
  9. To be fair, the Exstraliga barely interfere at all. We only have Doyle & Holder from that league. We're now fighting with eWinner 1 Liga which is still a better standard than the Premiership.
  10. Regularly, it was the reason the 28 day ban was introduced. We forced rider's to pick the UK or lose a months wages. Only within the last 15yrs rider's haven't given an F about it to ride in Poland's top 2 tiers.
  11. There wasn't many complaint 20-30yrs ago when we were the dictators. The issue isn't Poland, the issue is our own (head in the sand) ego's screaming foul play. The true reality of World League Speedway we're about 5th in the rankings. 1. Exstraliga 2. Elitserien 3. Dansk Speedway Liga 4. Bundesliga 5. Premiership
  12. Of course it's legal. If anything, Iversen has been riding illegally, breaking his Polish contract agreeing he won't participate in more than 3 leagues
  13. It's only protected from a T/S. Reserve switches still happen
  14. He is. His average is currently 7.38 until Wednesday. Iversen's new average is effective immediately at 7.33. Lawson then moves to No1 from Wednesday
  15. It kind of does if you're reliant on wildcard picks to maintain a SGP spot. I think people need to be a bit more respectful but I don't think it's unfair to say Lambert isn't good enough. I said 4/5yrs ago that Lambert will be another Chris Harris & I still won't change my mind from that. Saying all that, I'll not right him off just yet from a top 6 spot but he has to get his finger out quick, he won't get the wildcard again imo
  16. May be the track & only the 1st set of heats, but, looking at this lot I wouldn't expect any of these to be future World Champions
  17. Unless the leading rider did a total lockup, the rider dehind will always be excluded for a collision. I'm not seeing why folk are getting their knickers in a twist over it. Ellis at fault, end of
  18. To which Lawson had the right to do as the leading rider. There is no rule to say 'a slower rider must allow a faster rider to pass without challenge.'
  19. People talking about the concept being wrong because of a small turn out. I'm of the opposite view. Crowd numbers at the venue are pretty much irrelevant, similarly to how greyhound racing works today. If there were 2500+ watching via streaming @ £13, this competition has started with flying colours. 3/400 at the stadium, 1900 online etc, it's a success. No longer will promoter be to concerned by paying punters at the gate as long as there's a gradual uptick in streaming purchases
  20. Is it true there's serious concern around the club over attendances?? Are they way down??
  21. The point is, it's encouraging to the rest of the league that Sheffield are vulnerable. On paper they should have hit you for 50+ comfortably.
