You most definitely do have tunnel vision - I admire your dedication to the club I cannot fault you on that but just sometime even you must leave the stadium and doubt your dedication.to the club .
-
The press conference great idea love it if racing started 7-30 prompt I’d definitely be there but I’m sure as eggs are eggs ain’t going to a press conference at gone 10pm when I’ve to be up early for work the next morning I’ve no interest in that what so ever . So get the racing started at 7-30 show a bit of urgency to keep the meeting moving rather than endless laps with the tractor and more would attend meetings and attend press conference it’s thats simple .
-
Thing also to remember the stadiums main business is Stock Cars not speedway - it’s a stock car stadium that happen to run speedway as well , I’ve several stock car friends and they all say about Lynn what we used to say about speedway best track in the country .
-
Ha ha but I doubt we need the club to tell us - do you ?
-
One way to look at it is various names have been linked with the club we can now rule some of the ones linked out as they won’t be coming as they’ve signed for rival clubs - once Belle Vue and Poole complete there side it will become even more clearer who’s coming by the time the fans meeting comes round the 1-7 will be more or less known i think .
-
Well it is another gone by the wayside- but absolutely positive move by Somerset to sign the World Champion we all should be pleased Doyle is racing in the uk
-
How on earth is that doom and gloom ??? Well done Somerset for signing the World Champion good to see a promotion with some ambition to better its self - absolutely positive move for the whole league and speedway in general in the UK if that’s doom and gloom you are very deluded .
-
Jason Doyle Somerset no1 that’s another one gone by the wayside
-
No thank you - can be brilliant on his day but also he can be very ordinary with can’t be arsed attitude especially in a week leading up to a GP .
-
No Chris Harris then he’s signed for Rye House - looks more and more likely all our eggs are in the Iversen Lambert basket if either or both say thank you but no thank you we are in the deep brown stuff -one thing about naming the team in January it becomes very easy to rule names out - I really hope Buster has an ace up his sleeve or 2018 could be a very long and difficult season .
-
Then you will understand exactly were I’m coming from - some have there heads in the sand there is a wide gap in finances the way I see it ok a new co promoter Robin Brundle may bring new sponsors and cash into the club hopefully he will - but with no tv or a clearly reduced tv contract is going to have a massive effect on all clubs in the Premiership- call me negative or whatever I think I’m being realistic.
-
How’s it negative? - so if it’s negative how’s the cash short fall going to be made up ? Increased admission charges is one way but with a weaker league my guess are attendance would fall increased sponsorship maybe ? Over to you how’s the cash short fall going to be made up ? I think I’m being realistic rather than negative but guess we are all entitled to our opinions
-
The question that keeps going through my mind is just were is the money going to come from to finance Iversen/ Lamberts or Iversen/Harris which ever combination it’s not going to be cheap- if no tv money or very much reduced tv money how’s will that short fall be covered if no tv coverage that has a knock on effect on what sponsors are willing to pay - id say the reputation of the club is at a all time low with attracting sponsors after how TrucksR Us was treated last season they certainly wouldn’t have sponsored the team had it been the team we had in the second half of the season also we lost long term loyal sponsor Roger Warnes .
-
A very ordinary Championship side if Iversen isn’t included- but that’s were we are at the Premiership isn’t much stronger than the Championship- at this stage of the winter I’m normally getting excited towards the new season so far I’m not even looking forward to the new season even the clubs that’s signed riders there is nothing new nothing to get excited about sadly as for Lynn they might as well get on announcing the team as it will be more or less common knowledge by the supporters get together in January.
-
We ran a championship team in second half of last season but they didnt reduce admission prices
-
Not just the riders some fans lost respect of the man in charge - since then I’m more and more convinced the dumping of Holder and Batch was more about cost cutting than anything else
-
It’s vital for any new additions to the team is to not question the promotion and to be a total yes man or the exit door is shown .
-
It’s interesting but I really can’t see how the finances add up he’d want a small fortune in wages and rightly so being the World Champion. Sorry can’t see it happening
-
Add Kasper Andersen to that line up as what I’m hearing he’s a dead cert
-
I’ve heard a young Dane Kasper Andersen is in the frame for a team place . I’ve never heard of him to be honest
-
25th Jan fans forum is more or less a waste of time as Lambert seems to be on his way out of the club the 1-7 will be known well before the 25th jan .
-
If the rumours are true that the club lost money last season and if there is no tv cash costs have got to be cut or admission has to go up sadly
-
worth a read
-
Nothing seems to have worked to attract old and new fans to speedway a £10 admission could do just that surely it’s better to have more fans in the stadiums up and down the country maybe £10 is a but low but all I’m saying is why not try reducing admission my guess with increased numbers clubs would better off - look at KL last season cut cost dumping Holder and Batch replaced them with riders on lesser wage crowd fell away had they adjusted the admission price accordingly that may not have happened but they charged the same . I’m not saying cut the admission at the cost of clubs closing but let’s think outside the box a bit more that all I’m saying
-
I’d be surprised if he was any older than 60 - RIP Noddy a true speedway fan
