  1. what does it say on facebook and by whom? Or back to School
  2. Don't doubt Harris's ability, but his team and general prep seem to be lacking. Nothing against Mark Courtney but he was never a World class rider. He has gone backwards since Norrie went, He needs a (recent) former rider with a bit of sense, who knows how to set bikes up helping him in the pits. Just seems as if he can't tell people what he thinks needs done to his bikes. How can up and coming young riders, get the set ups reqd (Ward for one), yet he struggles!!!! Baffling! Sorry to see him not qualify as Harris in full flow is great entertaimnent! As much as people knock him, who else is there to replace him! He is still the No1 British rider. Suggestions as helpers: Chris Louis, Jan Staechman, Gary Havelock,
  3. Have looked all over the web for info on upcoming Polish Fixtures to no avail, Can anyone help please!
  4. leaving in ten mins, mob no 07796690881 catch you later

  5. Strange then that in his monthly column in Backtrack magazine, of all the riders that he had ridden with and against that Bruce Penhall remembered riding against and getting beat by no other than the classy Steve Lawson. In Penhalls words, ''Being World Champion doesn't mean you won't be beaten often and sometimes when it's largely unexpected by the neutrals. This is something I can attest to. You're up there to be shot down, as I found out to my cost at Glasgow when we were there in an Inter League challenge.Their No 1 Steve Lawson beat me fair and square and they were really going for it. I can't say i remember anything about Blantyre Stadium but I sure do remember Steve beating me!!! -- From one class rider to another-- Can't get a much better accolade than that. Just because Lawson didn't want to grace the First Division, shouldn't detract from him being recognised as one of the best British riders of the 80's. Indeed a similar thing was said about a certain Mr Carl Stonehewer, who had no ambition, yet graced the GP Series. Don't delude yourself that all the best riders were in the First Division!! Given the choice of a role model for my children, Mr Lawson would figure highly up my list and he certainly served British Speedway well in the 80's, my choice of top 20 British Riders would be based on other things apart from how well they done in European or World Events. There were some loyal club riders during the 80's. My list shall follow in due course.
  6. What a shame they never got the bronze medal, some great racing! Think we know who is really the British No1. Nicholl's failure to win a race really goes to show that he struggles against the top riders in the world and his GP posistions really are a reflection of his true ability. On this showing the top 2 Brits are in the Gp's.
  7. Where have u got booked in at?

  8. Why are the Current GP Positions after Leszno showing Harris in 11th place below Holder, Andersen, Lingdren. When he made the semi's and they failed to qualify??
  9. Well done Jason, A credit to Speedway and a real role model for your kid's, showing them that hard work and going that extra mile has it's rewards. You have earned everything you have and I take my hat off to you. You can do it next year as well!!!
  10. Right now after watching that rubbish tonight provided on a motorway, would it matter who the top 15 were, they aren't being allowed to show off their skills. Never thought after 40 yrs of watching speedway I would be saying couldn't give a toss if I never see another GP. SKY subscribtion is in danger of being binned for next yr, Depending upon track prep (Overall) possibly No Cardiff, a saving of over 1k alone just on those two. What has all the makings of a great sporting event is being spoilt by track prep. I feel sorry for you and your staff at Speeway Star who continually try to lift the sport only to be frustrated by the lack of racing tracks provided by the GP organisers. These events are supposed to show off our great sport, not make it look mickey mouse. Why in the context of your magazine do you not ask Olsen why he thinks it was for the betterment of the sport that he provioded slick tracks??
  11. Had a load of neutralsd round tonight, drinks and food provided to show them why I love this sport, Bydgoscz best race track, Gollob right on it!! Crumpy to win world title. What happens we get gate and go speedway!!! Olsen hang your head in shame, to provide a track like that for the showdown of the season you should be chucked out of the organisation side altoigether. Given the fact that you had the foresight to deliver the GP system, you are now going all out to destroy it with your crap slick racve tracks. From saviour to devil I for one will be glad to see the back of you, Should Tony Olsen follow your lead then Speedway will die a death. All racers (not riders) should boycott the series next year if the tracks are gaters paradises) If not boys nobodys gonna watch it and I'm a supporter of over 40 years standing. If I'm getting pissed off we have a serious problem.
  12. How many Poles would be lying on the road's in Bydgoscz should Gollob steal the show!! What an awesome night that would be! No chance of a ticket now
  13. Has Tai competed in any of the GP Qualifiers?? If so how far did he get? If he has competed and fallen by the wayside then I don't think he should be offered automatic entry, this would be a complete insult to Harris who although failing to reach the top three last night, would on paper be the most eligible Brit. He has put himself in this posistion by riding in the rounds and has proven that currently he is the best we have. In my opinion no Harris then no Brits!!!
  14. Anybody know if there is any polish matches on the web today and if so any links?
  15. I totally agree, however the rules are the rules, taking that into account he needed to finish second. You can only play with the toys you got and if you dont like it, tough!!
  16. Easy on Crump. Whats a team manager for?? Then again Boycie is not the brightest of people is he?? Should have made his riders aware of the consequences. Boycie lost it for the aussies not Crumpy.
