If he had rode to win the world cup, he would have finished second!!! wether you agree with that or not, that was what was needed to WIN the world cup.

QUOTE (Rob B @ Jul 19 2009, 02:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Both teams were daft today, Poland had couple of good chances to use joker earlier on when they went 6 points down twice, Crump should have known or been told no point beating kasprzak by 1 point as they could use joker. Agree completley, Boyce as team manager should have made Crump aware of the consequences of beating the pole. Sorry the Aussies lost it with a lack of tactical awareness, letting the poles win it!!

Sky have said should the mmeting be postponed the result will stand based on the finishing posistions of the team at HT 15?? The rules say the points scored after the last run heat!! Wish they had someone who knew the rules. Who informs them of these rules? Is it race director??

Female interviewers must have a thing about them, Charlie's quote on thurs to Crumpy was a classic ' Don,t forget to check your nuts when you get on the bike' nearly spit beer all over the setee. Have to agree with the majority I think she is doing a good job and has certainly grown on me. When asking AJ when Sweden would be playing the joker and he said 'can't say, her reply 'Oh go on Aj you can tell me' Aj erm Heat 23, Brill -
Doesnt look good, anyone with Sky, check out the Moto GP from Germany live now on eurosport, absolutely hammering it down.

Ole Olsen Track Prep
ciderman replied to Bellers101's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
As I stated before, Buster done what he wanted at P,Boro. Watching the meeting again on tv, you can see them wanting to go to the racing and the tractor was still out there.!! Its obvious that Olsen or BSI do not really give a toss as to what the fans want. However why can't the riders get together and state if track prep doesn't change then they wont race. -
Lyons Should Have Picked Scotty
ciderman replied to sunnysally's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
We wouldn.t have been in a position to qualify if it hadn't been for Lyons decision to run with the young guns. In reality most people has us as last place in Lezno. The fact that we just missed out was gut wrenching but also very pleasing. A lot of people have knocked Lyon for his team selection, however he only just failed and I for one was screaming at the tv last night (I wasn't doing that last year). The boys did us proud and its easy to criticise after the horse has bolted. Lee Richardson also wore his heart on his sleeve and showed just how good he can be. Well done to all. Hope Scotty enjoyed his beer with Sullivan!!! -
Well done LR, Answered on the track. Arguments anyone??

At Kings Lynn last night Buster was asked over the PA if he would take the job of track curator for GP's etc full time ? His Answer and possibl y the answer to the questions posed on here. ' I knew the track wanted watering prior to and after HT1, I was told by Ole Olsen over the radio NO WATER AND NO GRADING- This happened on a No of occasions during the meeting and did not enable me to do a better job' NO I wouldn't like the job. Speedway Star today: At 15 minutes to midnight Olsen was still on track, brushing down the fence adverts so they could be taken down and transported to other meetings.(COULD THIS BE THE REAL REASON)!!! -

Lets have the same preparation for the next Sky meeting. Must admit when watching the first five racec thought , here we go, dry, dusty, slick track again. But after the watering it was fantastic. Tatum commented on it possibly being overwatered, didn't think that was the case. Keith Huewen certainly isn't an Olsen fan is he? Plenty of digs in relating to the best meeting he'd seen, the best race seen for a while, not a slick track etc. Hopefully Sky can throw some weight behind track prep and give the supporters and viewers what they want. Its a shame that the powers that be will not or do not listen to the fans or read this forum, we have campaigned for grippy tracks as the answer to provide better racing and last night showed it to be the case. I also think the riders had a point to prove as well and put on one hell of a show. Well done track staff. -

Great Advert for Speedway Proud of Team GB - They gave it their all. Well done Rob Lyons for taking the gamble Well Done Buster Great Track Well done to all the teams for entertaining us Heat 20 Up with the best of them. Slick tracks no racing , grippy track has given us the best meeting of the year Best Quote- Charlie- Jason dont forget to check your nuts on your bike !! Negative- No Nicholls suppporting Team GB- (I was a Nicholls Fan, but if I was Rob Lyons I wouldn't be taking him to Lezno, he will destroy the team spirit) Biggest NO NO - Gollob for not wanting to ride in HT 25 Should be fined a lot of money, supporters pay to see him race. Dropped down heavily in my estimation. Overall though brilliant meeting & good display by the Brits. -
Tom Jones, he should help fill the Stadium!! Failing that Shirley Bassey!! Wouldnt get in the Speedway for the Local,s come on BSG you know it would work. Or could we go for the Manic Street Preachers, now they would bring an audience of brand new young fans aho had never seen speedway and the Millenium would be a sell out.

dome that one year and got ripped off for twenty quid in a taxi to get back after partying!! -
Would also be great if the majority of supporters didn't book hotels next year, teach the greedy monsters a lesson. Now wouldn't that make a story.
