  1. Exactly the enthusiasm for the new team the new promoters need to read NOT!
  2. Big Thank You to KD, love him or hate him, without him, there would be no Workington Speedway!! Thank Keith and Family for keeping the sport alive over the last 5 years, I wish you all well in the future and hope to see you all at Derwent Park in 2013! Please can we keep the pretty programme sellers
  3. Lets have Cookie in the team 2013!Box office and could be the next Stoney, the young ones relate to him, his teamware shirts and logo's appeal to them. He could generate a huge young following, would be a massive opportunity missed if we don't sign him. Roynon a must, would see him as top PL dog 2013 Bach, superb entertainer and still more to come from him Howarth, lots of room for improvement Arnio back on decent Equipment, could be a good move Michael Palm Toft A young up and coming reserve, Please Santa!! Can't wait for March 2013!! SO PLEASED TO BE SAYING THAT-- THANK YOU LAURA!!!!!!
  4. Anyone feeling low or wondering where this great sport of ours is heading and thinking I've had enough, why do I go? Had all the answers to their doubts last night, Heat 15 was purely Speedway at its best (Adam, Robbo if your reading this take a bow). Two riders racing fairly, giving it some , passing, re passing absolutely thrilling to watch, if their were 15 heats of that, the stadiums would be packed. Thanks guy's fo restoring my faith and making me realise why I love Speedway! Just a shame there aren't more like you.
  5. Good on Cookie I say, created a bit of atmosphere, thats what the crowd want. enjoyable to watch still don't know why we haven't got him in the team, but really think the move to Edinburgh has made him a better rider, The PL Averages back this up, been No 1 for a part of the season a great achievement given his short time in the sport.
  6. Seves them right if they gotta re run it and it costs a fortune, our own fault tonight there was no reason for such a large interval and all the grading afterwards. And we wonder why people get pissed off!
  7. There's not many riders that get me excited when I look in the programme and see who is in the next race, but you did Lee, a great racer and entertainer, if they all rode like you the stadeiums would be packed; Wish you well for the future. By the way you never rode for my team (Comets) but I always looked forward to your visits to Derwent Park, you will be a big miss to the sport.
  8. Otherwise its a few Fri Night stop overs in Glagee mate!
  9. Absolutely agree, we havent got anyone good enough, and they should have to qualify, likewise for Ward, he hasn't ridden in the GP Qualifiers, so why should he be entitled to a Wild Card in favour of someone else. Be gutted if Vacilik & Hampel get overlooked in favour of Ward & Woofinden.
  10. Would be quite fitting if the Comets possible last ever match was againrt Berwick as the Comets opened against Berwick in the 70's and I am almost certain it was Berwick again in the 90's!
  11. Yes four double headers or off night meetings, huge cost to the fans and promotion this month, could these be the final nails in the coffin? Suppose he could tell the team to lose the others and concentrate on winning the Play Offs!
  12. If your sreious Chris and want to wim, take yourself of tp Australia this winter, pay Todd Wiltshire to teach you some gating skills, get someone who is knowledgable and smart in yout team regarding bike set ups etc (Jan Stachman) springs to mind, go and do it On you day there is no one better to watch, a true racer!
  13. Where did the story and Quotes from Harry come from? #
  14. yes thats right, but we have no swedes in the side now. I agree nothing to lose trying a different night, to much competition from other things on a Sat night now, the GP Fortnightly doesn't help.
  15. How about Tue nights,no other teams to conflict with. no tv speedway.no game\reality shows, no conflict with family events which tend to be organised as weekends. Thoughts??
  16. Think of the income-: Newcastle- Workington - Edinburgh Scunthorpe - Leicester - Somerset
  17. Could be if you don;t want to que, keep your ticket and it's a fiver next week!!!!
  18. What beats me is why put it on in Vojens in Sept? Everyone knows what the weather there is like, why not hold it here in the summer months and use the warmer countries or indoor facilities at this type of year. Seems like a No brainer to me!
  19. Now that I've wet myself and lost a pound of fat with laughing at that comment I can't be arsed to reply (shame I won the lottery last week,it was only a £1,000,000, was £2,000,000 week ago, xxxx it think I,ll tear the ticket up!!)
  20. Think he built the team based on lower crowd figures than the previous season, as stated elsewhere 1200 -1300 1st meeting, 500 last meeting!
  21. No they would'nt, Plymouth last year was an outstanding league meeting and had to be raced.
  22. Really hope thats going in the Press, could make all the differnce. Now for all the knockers, the mans lost money over the last few weeks, yet is still prepared to give you cash back, can't all be bad can it!!
