  1. I think Holder may have shot himself in the foot by going public that he isn't ready for the GP series.
  2. I'm astonished that Bomber has crept in again. Good for him though, hopefully he can make a better fist of it in 2009.
  3. Can't see him being that bad. Will probably float somewhere around 9th.
  4. While you speak as much sense as anyone on here SCB you have the tendancy to generalise when referring to speedway fans in this country and it gets right up my nose. Some of us pay plenty of attention to what goes on in Europe and beyond (keeping the Speedway Star next to the khazi helps ) and you shouldn't tar everyone with the same brush
  5. I think you have hit the nail on the head mate; too much hype from people who should know better. People should be excitied by Tai for what he is going to achieve over the next two to three years, not sooner than that really. He is obviously not ready for the GP's yet and the wallys on Sky should realise that.
  6. Tai's inexperience was shown up last night but there is no doubt that his time will come in this competition. And he is still trememdously talented whatever anyone may say. Personally I would love to see the top three in next year's GP series but thats another debate entirely!
  7. I shall be there, plumping for this meeting over Norwich v QPR! Looking forward to the youngsters putting on a good show.
  8. Best idea yet. Then everyone would have to earn the right to be in it the following year.
  9. Thought the two Brits looked better tonight, although its probably too late to secure a spot for next year now. Can't see either of them in next year's series unless they really want a Brit in there, in which case Bomber may get the nod.
  10. A stone wall 'all four back' if ever there was one. I don't think we shall be seeing that referee on the GP circuit again. A great GP however on a proper speedway track for once. Thank God it rained to provide some grip otherwise we may well have had a typically slick Ole Olsen track with little passing. And well done Leigh Adams, a worthy winner.
  11. Spot on, Johnno is very funny as co-commentator and had me chuckling all the way through
  12. Possibly. More likely though that they are none good enough.
  13. Or the ones who want a quicker route into the GP; easier to get in ahead of Nicholls and Harris than Crump and Adams. You also have the likes of Holder, Watt and Batchelor who will probably be knocking loudly on the door next year. Not many (if any) Brits getting their knuckles ready I'm afraid.
  14. Well done to the Danes. Looked the best team on paper and proved it on the track.
  15. Couldn't agree more. Lindgren & Nermark worthy of mentions too.
  16. Well said Mr Shovlar. Time to get behind the team and save any carpeting for after the event.
  17. Couldn't agree more sir. The best speedway is generally found on a track with a decent amount of grip which is well maintained throughout the meeting.
  18. Well done Rymel & Nermark, you did the PL proud. Hopefully Tai can do the same on Thursday!
  19. I wouldn't worry, there are plenty of very good youngsters around. Holder, Sadjudinov (sp?), Woffinden, Gomolski, Bridger to name but a few. The GP series will be just fine
  20. Well done Dan! Would love to see him qualify for the GP's and ruffle a few feathers in the first bend
  21. You can see why he has named Staed & Allen. Personally I would have gone for Kennett and Woffinden but there are reasonable arguments for any of the four to be included. Hopefully the five selected will do us proud and get through to that final.
  22. Country should ALWAYS come before club IMO Trees, there is no greater honour for a sportsman than to represent your country. Of course it was a pain that he wasn't at Newcastle (on current form it arguably cost us a result) but its just unfortunate that statistically he is seventh in the averages when in reality he is riding way above that. Anyway well done to him! Great experience
  23. I thought it was six and two threes, a racing incident pure and simple. To call either rider dirty or a nutcase based on that incident is daft.
