  1. Good to see that he recovered quickly to race in Poland today 👍 💰
  2. Absolutely, anybody who doesn't get in next year but didn't try to qualify cannot complain I'm afraid.
  3. Easy tiger, he scored 15 for Redcar and qualified for the British Final last week!
  4. I'd be clearing everyone out apart from Wright, Scott and maybe Pjiper for 2027. Team needs a bit of freshness about it.
  5. Lord only knows what on earth you are running on about. Reading between the lines he had it booked before signing for BV as he had a free week, and signed for Lemo 'as long as yous let me go for my week in the sun, mate'. Just a pity we all get fibbed to about a 'knee injury'.
  6. Going by social media it would appear Doyle was on holiday and not injured at all.
  7. Five guests for the Young Stars https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2026-07-14/shanes-back-for-unbeaten-academy
  8. I personally don't think that any rider who is going to be absent for a certain percentage of meetings in a season should be permitted to ride in a league whoever they are. Injury can't be helped but one of the things which gets up people's noses more than anything IMO is facilities for riders who are raving elsewhere and not for the team they signed for.
  9. Not in the Champ perhaps but he's been at the level you'd expect in the Prem.
  10. I think its more likely to be the other way round. Cooper has done well so far at 4, don't think it makes a huge amount of difference anyway personally. Harris at 5 concerns me a bit, if its mega slick as it usually is when Lynn visit he'll struggle. As always we have to make good starts, don't and we'll get marmalised.
  11. And keep them to a minimum. R/R has to be compulsory apart from for your number 1 or a reserve, but replace reserves with unattached Champ riders. And on the Championship don't allow riders like McDairmid to sign in the first place if they are never going to be here.
  12. Charge of the heavy brigade into the first turn, not for the feint hearted, where angels fear to tread, party piece. All great Lanningisms. I dont think he'll ever be bettered personally.
  13. The Henka, Loram, Brhel years were awesome. Last heat decider every week. I can remember Petersen at Lynn in 1988, I think he dropped a couple of points off his average and didnt last the season. Had a falling out with Bill Barker over money and popped up at Wolves IIRC. Then of course finished his career over here very successfully with Arena Essex 1991-93.
  14. Not sure why you would write all that and not mention Tate Z getting paid 10 in place of Paco.
  15. I think the fact that not one Edinburgh fan has stood up for Cluff speaks volumes. Also the two guests have had a massive impact on the result.
  16. Too much clay unfortunately, its good for stock cars though and that's what makes most of the money. I also think Lynn's track would benefit from the white line being taken in a bit. Shorter straights, wider bends. It can be good, we see the odd very good race but generally riders get too strung out too quickly and its very difficult to make up ground once behind because of all the heavy roost.
  17. That's the issue though, as other clubs have found out previously. Very, very difficult to get riders over here during the season, and there appear to be few new ones who want to sign in the winters.
  18. Fair play Thomsen, brilliant ride. BZ too concerned about Lambert, luckily for him m it wasn't Kurtz round the outside. Lambert will be disappointed but he looked properly world class this evening and is starting to develop some consistency. And he picked Zmarzlik off twice.
  19. Doyle 😂 a desperate move from a man over the hill, and then he has the front to moan about it. At least he didnt injure Kvech this time.
  20. Hi Graham, what has happened to the excellent Talk Speedway podcast? Have missed it this year.
