Bit more meat on the bones here: https://www.lynnnews.co.uk/sport/linnets-in-sprinkler-storm-9454621/ Didn't John Perrin do something similar at Kirky Lane once?

What about Northampton?

I think the day we take any notice of what a Holder has to say is probably the day to pack it all in. -

Plymouth? Whatever Mark Philips is doing down there, others need to follow suit. -

Completely agree, the negativity on here has been pretty staggering. At least let it happen before slagging it off! Its been happening for a long time, all the best to everybody involved. -
Premiership Predictions 2026

I hope we keep being ignored, prefer it that way! -

I'd be gobsmacked if he is as his situation hasn't changed, but you never know.

Not if they were getting clattered every week. What Blobby said about Lynn voting for a higher limit sounded spurious at the time and I'm not surprised Jason had rubbished it. As he says no Lambert would have meant ten hidings so its a good job he's joined really.

Can you list the riders who are missing out please? Genuine question.
-
IIRC that pretty much cost the Colts the title.

How much to get in out of interest?

Well done Glasgow.

Phil Lanning named some of them on the latest 360 podcast, I think Wright, Lawson and Kerr were mentioned. The key will be getting a proper number one I guess, hopefully they can find one.

Championship Predictions 2026

Poole Glasgow Oxford Redcar Plymouth Edinburgh Workington Berwick Scunthorpe -
Probably not but that's a consequence of raising the points limit unfortunately.

I'm no statistician but surely having 6 rides in 1998 compared to 4 in 1983 and racing against better riders more often would have an effect? Not saying Cradley weren't better but you can't just compare the figures and ignore the other variables.
-
I accept what you're saying but with all due respect there won't be a huge amount below those two by the sound of it and it needs to be competitive, your team sounds like the one to beat and I'm sure you wouldn't want teams coming and getting steameollered. I would much rather a team like we had last year but it is what it is.

Sounds like he'll be rider coach and with the club unable to bring back last year's top three for various reasons they needed a spearhead. He's not necessarily a rider I want to see at Lynn or in the NL but by the sound of the other line ups they needed a couple of strong heat leaders to prevent being cannon fodder.
-
He doesn't come across as the most professional or polished administrator does he? As you say forgetting names of key people for something which has been going on a fair while is pretty poor. However I'm an optimist (a cautious one seeing as its British Speedway we are talking about) so my glass is half full regarding what could happen in the near future. We shall see.

What about Northampton?

I think all of that was covered in various detail. He spoke mostly about Speedway Futures and the high hopes he has for it. Worth a listen. -
Mildenhall or Cradley?
-
A little surprised Jody is doing NL again but not a bad thing IMO.

And presumably the plan would be the Coventry amd Peterborough areas too. -
I'd suggest a rider new to the UK would be a poor choice as a short term signing, better going with somebody who has experience here.

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams
Bagpuss replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Morris has been heavily involved in trying to get Northampton off the ground for many months I believe. Hopefully it comes to fruition.
