  1. Perhaps Lynn & Ipswich will 'help them out' with the two cup meetings at Brafield.
  2. I'm a gardener you lemon 😂 FWIW if there was still grass in the middle at Lynn I don't imagine that would get cut every week either!
  3. It makes you come across as bitter and jealous. No doubt the Monarchs have paid all their top riders over the years with magic beans 😂
  4. Yes sir we've already established that and I've taken back what I said when it was pointed out, do keep up.
  5. I've never known anybody to be as obsessed about other people's money as you.
  6. Yep if its too wet then absolutely fair enough. Its a general bug bear of mine, especially when Elite League/Premiership meetings were live on national TV and tufts of long grass were poking out all over the bends and near the starting gate! Looks so amateur.
  7. Mine was fine on the telly up until heat 12 when it crashed and I couldn't get the web page to refresh, so watched the last three heats on my phone.
  8. There were some excellent races but also a lot of strung out heats, feel that the venue would benefit massively from floodlights so the track guys aren't battling with the wind AND the sun. The shape is amazing and I don't think the circuit has fulfilled its potential yet.
  9. A minor gripe but yet another track who doesn’t mow their centre green before being live on the TV/stream. Such an easy way to make the place look much neater and tidier.
  10. I think Leicester and Ipswich have every chance with their solid line ups, however like Lynn last year an injury to a key team member has the potential to hurt them significantly. Looks like an interesting season ahead.
  11. That's one hell of a win for Leicester, fair play. Maybe Sheffield winning the lot at a canter needs a rethink?
  12. Charles Wright rides for Landshut, I expect he's been named in the squad just in case he is/was fit ahead of schedule as unlikely as that may be.
  13. Paco really should have beaten King in heat 8, he had the chance to block his outside run but was too polite and left plenty of room. I actually thought he rode pretty well after heat 1 and given a few meetings on a track he had seldom ridden he could be solid. Cooper isn't going to fail to beat an opponent very often IMO but we shall see. Pointing fingers at riders one home meeting in is a bit early IMO.
  14. They were quite clearly fast enough to score points but scored 5, 7, 6, 3 and 5. Thats not a criticism, they collectively weren't great but weren't bad either and of course did more than enough to help win the meeting. I agree the tac sub made the scoreline closer than it really was and to reiterate I don't agree with home tac subs, I'd get rid. Ipswich never looked like not winning from heat 2 onwards really, Lynn got close a couple of times but it never felt like they could reel the Witches in. I am not a panicker at all and have become quite level headed about sport nowadays, we are all emotional about the teams we support but I find it easier to be objective as I've got a bit older. Lynn's team has potential and it is going to take a while for that to be realised but on last night's evidence speed isn't the issue. Some will think that the tail will stay long for the whole season and I understand the argument but I just can't see the two reserves not improving. We shall see. Ultimately if you gate poorly you ain't going to win many speedway meetings, its ever been thus and Lynn need to sort that out above all else. Ipswich have embarrassed them from the traps this week.
  15. A thoroughly deserved win for Ipswich, once again they were far sharper from the gate. Brennan was excellent and as a Team GB fan its great to see m, I think he can develop into a very good rider. Lynn just need to start better. Apart from Kvech who was on a lawnmower everyone had plenty of speed, Scott and Rushen had loads of pace but were yards behind into the first turn. They will get better and score plenty of points particularly at home. They were always going to take time to settle. Thought Paco had a decent home debut. The Witches were pretty ordinary below Brennan & King but always had the Stars at arm's length. Lynn need to be much better when the fixture is repeated next month.
  16. Very similar script to Thursday evening, Witches far, far sharper from the starts. Only Cook gating for Lynn.
  17. Very similar script to Thursday evening, Witches far, far sharper from the starts. Only Cook gating for Lynn.
  18. One thing is for sure, Lynn need to collectively get out of the gate all lot better than they did last night. I think ten will be a little too much to claw back this early in the season, so I think it'll be a small Lynn victory.
