  1. That's where a strong governing body and set of referees come in who would take no squit.
  2. The simplest way would be to have a strict cut off date, if fixtures haven't been run by that date then the home team forfeit two points for each meeting not run. No reason why twelve home meetings cant be run in five months.
  3. This is a fair point. Really anybody should be 'cup tied' once they have appeared for a team. As you say it should be along the same lines as the Play Offs. Of course this would have caused an issue for Lynn but there are Championship only riders who could have guested for Cook.
  4. I'm not entirely sure how accurate that is, I'm not a million miles from Lynn and we've had torrential rain all morning with some localised flooding.
  5. From what I can gather he didn't want to be there in the first place.
  6. RAF Marham has had just short of half an inch this weekend, and tomorrow Norfolk (and much of the UK) has a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms. Seems an understandable and sensible call to me. As a season ticket holder I'd be pretty miffed if points were awarded and meetings not run.
  7. Yep it was quite clearly a fair move, but in the context of the meeting situation and Thompson going down you can understand why some Ippo fans didn't like it seeing it in real time, would have been exactly the same at Lynn in reverse.
  8. Are the tapes not released by an automatic system nowadays?
  9. This team has been giving 100% all season, that is one thing that can't be levelled at them. Unfortunately key riders missing for key away meetings has cost us. Ipswich want shooting for chucking an eight points lead away.
  10. If people think there is an issue with the club then why not grab Rob after the meeting tonght for a chat, he is honest and approachable. Probably more constructive than venting on here.
  11. Many won't have sympathy for Ben, and I understand that completely, but I do, Polish and UK tracks are chalk and cheese and its not as if he hasn't tried to ride here, although whether he ever had any intention of racing at Lynn is another matter. He has always been committed to his British clubs and I know his wrist is much worse than many realise. I suspect Lezno have been in his ear and I understand it looks bad when he races over there and not here. I wouldn't criticise anyone for hammering him but I wont be doing that.
  12. The press release tells us he's getting a 28 ban without actually stating it.....
  13. Unfortunately the choices for guest were very slim pickings, I think Rowe was worth the risk as he rides BV well and has been in pretty good form, but it didn't work out. Other choices just weren't in the same ball park. I also think you really need to get out of your black and white world and stop constantly hammering team managers for their choices every single meeting, you keep calling them out for mistakes without really having a clue what goes on in the pits. Perhaps you should ask one or two if you can shadow them on a race night to see what actually goes on rather than being a Clever Trevor from hundreds of miles away.
  14. How about heats 14 & 15 for a start? I know I'm biting to a troll (shame on me I know) but Kvechs 4 last time was in the top five and not on the back of 16, 18 and what should have been double figures in a GP. The way he has been riding I'd not have put it past him to have beaten Bewley and Kurtz but we'll never know.
  15. Once we didn't get 5 in heat 12 that was that. Very much fancy we'd have had at least 45 before heat 15 with Jan but there we are. BV definitely need the coming change at reserve to have a chance of the title.
  16. It absolutely wouldn't have been a 'blunder', there will be a good reason. Would have made no difference to the result tonight anyway.
  17. My assumption is that Rowe is still struggling with his groin injury from last week and didn't want a fifth ride. Cook and Klindt the right choice in heat 15, you should never put your number 2 in the last race as its just too long since their last ride. We'd have won that with Jan. So frustrating.
