  1. What a final, brilliant racing once again after those first eight heats. Best track in the world without a shadow of a doubt.
  2. He's never that good there for Sheffield, kevels of motivation/commitment clearly completely different.
  3. Racing much better in that block once the track slickened off, think that late afternoon shower made it too grippy early doors.
  4. Yep, in fairness everything is expensive nowadays, just means one has to be choosy about what money is spent on.
  5. We have something even better nowadays, a National Development League. Just need more clubs to run a team in it.
  6. And there is the crash that Woryna has been threatening to cause all series. Absolute loon.
  7. What a race that was! No doubt in my mind this is the best track in the world.
  8. Not often I disagree with you but I'd suggest that there must be more guests nowadays as you could only have one back them for your number one or for multiple absences, R/R was a compulsory go-to otherwise whereas today you cn have a guest for any rider. Also every team had a junior side one of which was promoted if a reserve was injured. As for fans not caring about guests, I'd say there are a fair chunk who do even if the majority turn up to watch the racing and aren't fussed. You are right that there are loada of other issues but I know plenty of speedway fans who hate the lack of identity because of doubling up but more so willy nilly guests. We know they are a necessary evil in some situations but we have far, far too many nowadays and it needs reining in.
  9. I assumed he was riding for Ostrow but he's not according to the Extraliga 2 thread on this forum.
  10. Sad that Dan is injured but there are plenty of racers in the field who should thrive around the NSS.
  11. Will depend on how long it takes for him to break through into the Leszno number 8 position, same with Cairns who looked very good the other night for ZG.
  12. Not convinced he'll be hanging around in the Championship for too long anyway.
  13. My experience is the opposite due to the high clay content of the shale. The bottom line is that it wouldn't have been a satisfactory evening and the VFM would likely have been poor whichever way you slice it, and not many would have been there due to the forecast. Postponements are frustrating but last night was the right call.
  14. I wouldn't want to pay twenty five quid for a rushed through meeting which doesnt even last an hour, and probably only goes to heat 10. Bottom line is that on this particular occasion Lynn have got it right.
  15. It's not strange because the forecast was wet all afternoon and then heavier rain from 8pm, and that was today as well as yesterday. It looks by the met office radar that it is now finally starting to arrive but much later than it was supposed to. Quite why anyone thinks that Lynn wouldn't want to ride a Leicester side minus Thompson and Howarth is beyond me, they would have been much weaker than with them fit.
  16. 60% chance of rain from 15:00 increasing to 90% from 20:00 and then right through until 07:00 according to the Met Office app. As with all forecasts you pays your money, takes your choice. However, we could could wake up in the morning and its all changed. It's what actually happens tomorrow that matters at the end of the day.
  17. Was waiting for somebody to come out with that, little surprise it was you. He's got round Ipswich, Plymouth, Leicester perfectly well and scored good points by not just 'twisting the throttle' - he's 16 and is entitled to some tricky meetings on trickier tracks as part of his development.
  18. Disappearing over the fence at Armadale the other week has obviously affected him significantly.
