  1. Can see it being this years team swapping Tai and PK for Harris and Nicholls
  2. well you could always do a nice feature length article in the SS for them for a start. could make an interesting read.
  3. same. think somebody needs to explain the idea of home track advantage to him.
  4. not around Monmore I wouldn't. Lindgren lately has been hit and miss in the EL, Woffinden takes a few races to dial into the track. Bomber showed in the recent Sky meetings there how good he is round there.
  5. going by the official cov statement it sounds like Horton wants to sell him. Good luck getting clubs to pay for a rider these days.
  6. come on now this is pretty much a given where he is concerned
  7. Good results for Wolves last night. Disappointed with Freddie lately, is it a coincidence that his form drops off similar to last years when he's confirmed in the GPs for the rest of the season. Bomber was a great guest as usual. Ref was shocking
  8. who would have predicted that Doyle would have had the rise he's had in the last 2 years especially. never can tell what will happen. avoiding injuries will be the main thing and is one of the reasons that Hancock has managed to continue as long as he has.
  9. JK has put on twitter that anybody needing a mechanic should contact his mechanic he had at wolves. putting 2 and 2 together I'm guessing Tai could be bringing Jacek over with him for the Elite League meetings. he'll probably have someone else helping him out I know his future brother in law is riding in the NL so maybe it might be him.
  10. who cares what was supposedly said by who and about what. end of the day he's signed to ride for Wolves for the rest of this season.
  11. the hosts shouldn't be seeded through to the final, I don't even think they should be seeded into the race off either. the defending champions should be seeded into the final.
  12. Tuesday - USA qualify for the Race Off Wednesday - Ricky Wells announces he has been dropped for Race Off Wednesday / Thursday - Broc Nicol gets on a plane from the US to replace Wells in the lineup Friday - Hancock announces he is stepping aside to let Becker get some experience. IMO Team USA knew Tuesday or Wednesday that Hancock wasn't going to ride, they've just played it like this to make it look like he's a gentleman. if they really wanted the young kid to get some experience they'd have dropped Janniro or Fisher before Hancock.
  13. Did Hancock even travel to the UK ? if he didn't it's a bit poor that this news was only broken today considering the American team travelled here on Wednesday
  14. is Heaver linked with Sandhu somehow ?
  15. he was the bonus point king when at Coventry. think that's why team mates loved riding with him.
  16. I'd wait and see what type of meetings the Race off and Final serve up at Belle Vue first. have a feeling we could be in for 2 spectacular meetings that I don't think Cardiff could provide. it is however an interesting idea but would be losing the world cup week which I'm generally a fan of. could switch it around and have the SWC final first then the SGP the next day
  17. or is it because they are able to use Janniro because this round is not in the UK
  18. that's just home track advantage. surely one of the main factors when building a team over the winter is to build a team that is strong at home. win those home matches and keep the home fans coming back. can only beat what is put in front of you
  19. that doesn't exactly mean that they have been good though, also highlights how poor second strings have been that they haven't challenged the heat leaders at all this season. it was earlier in the season that most Coventry fans were calling for King to be dropped because of his poor scoring as a heat leader
  20. if you read the news lately you'll see Sky are actually cutting costs and in some places programmes from there sports portfolio because they have massively overpaid for the football. Speedway is in a precarious position when the Sky deal ends as I can't see Sky wanting to pay more to renew the deal, if anything they'll want to pay less
  21. I think that might be down to the standard of the league. the world cup should show what can be done on the track as the abilities of riders should be similar across the board. it does seem that the track is one for momentum as you see when some riders have to shut off that is basically the race over for them
  22. Coventry are on sky Monday. is there anything planned to highlight this during the meeting ?
