  1. sorry but you are wrong its got nothing to do with experience or what there use to dealing with the bspa acu or whoever sets the guidelines /rules are the ones who state unless theres a doctor in attendance speedway can not run so if the 1 and only track doctor has to go to hospitol with the injured party then no speedway will run unless a replacement doctor is brought in paramedics can not issue some drugs and if they are used by the doctor he has to travel and do the hand over to another qualified person obviously more than a average gp is needed at speedway but not 100% sure of what level the rule book states
  2. nothing new here was anounced a few months ago wasnt it that he was retiring from riding to be rob lamberts manager ?
  3. the post has been quite good this year from past experience i would most likely say it was actually posted late due to no staff in the office or not posted at all too be honest i stopped buying it a few years back got to expensive for whats inside most of it is old news during the season and filled up of some poor fill in articles off season
  4. personaly i dont think the title can be bought not as in riders maybe in the influance of some team owners/promotors with the bspa obviously some riders will be influanced byt richer clubs but it doesnt garuntee sucsess on track
  5. riders havnt been able to double down for a few years now and also there was a rule that a current gp rider couldnt ride prem league i think if the rider was allready riding prem league and qualiffied that was different
  6. this has been tried before a few years back workington had tony dart and young courtney whos first name slips me (maybe scott) after garry havelock started to "manage" the young courtney and demanded big money courtney was dropped but yes i do agree it is a good idea to help bring young riders on and help them keep a full time job in allowing 2 to share the reserve berth
  7. not many workington fans were disapointed with hanson at home the later part of the season the guy can ride the boards with the best of them
  8. ive wondered about this with the cookie conection cookie got him in at buxton and ive also wondered if when the time come cookie would have got him in at edinbrugh but expected that to happen while cookie was still riding there to help him out
  9. its obviously someone with foriegn comitments when there having to wait for the fixtures to be confirmed and it dosnt actualy say proven in the prem league it says proven prem league standard how you judge this if the rider ihasnt rode in prem league before im not sure as alot outside the prem league dont understand just how competative it can be
  10. the thing with mitchell davey is everything looks right he is always well turned out his gear looks to be in good order and his style is nice and tidy the only thing that isnt there is he does not score points i always thought he had it but just needed to make that next step something as others have said just dosnt look like happening given the amount of time hes been around
  11. pk can still do a job but the amount of meetings in the prem league might be too much for him
  12. as with all teams its not when they click its if they do speedway is a funny sport that way you can put the best team out there but it dosnt garuntee a winning team
  13. but if they wont pay enough then they will get 1 thats maybe not anywhere nesr the grade
  14. some real nice coments from rival fans and some that are a real surprise obviously workington have had some good sides in the past only for them to self distruct hopefully this side will show some of that paper potential and be right up there all season
  15. you cant have offered enough money for this one
  16. it was once 9 pts for new aussies rusty harrison came in on a 9pt average im sure
  17. dont worry 2016 is going to be that good a sumer mason will think hes back home and be scoring big points ha ha
  18. have you got the one from workington when he gave up rode on to centre green when workington rider was pushing bike home and was behind him
  19. it is nice to see sides built with a few brits but if im being entertained week in week out i dont really care if the side is home grown or built of foriegn riders
  20. there was deffinatly talk of chris kerrs average being put back up to 7 maybe it was if he changed teams rather than stick with the team he started
  21. you could be right but was up for before the courts at one point
  22. finish top 4 or have a average of 7 or higher
  23. when chris kerr was ridding over here he was given 2 or 3 year to maintain his average it wasnt put back upto 7pts untill this period ran out or he switched to a different team not sure which was first
  24. going by the confirmed for 2016 page on this forum which can be found on the link above or at the top of page in prem league section there are only 5 teams still to complete there 1 to 7 edinbrugh have 16.64 left for 3 riders newcastle have 7.22 for there last rider peterbrough have 8.45 for there last rider plymouth have 4.91 for last rider who will be at reserve redcar have 8.40 for last rider and finaly workington have 6.87 for last rider
