edingbrugh make it hard for other teams to restage meetings so maybe others wont be too quick to help the monarchs get a fixture on a date that suits them

it takes 2 teams to put on a good entertaining meeting walkovers are nice for the score board but there not entertaining last night was a little too close for comfort though glasgow come back and overtook us then at the last minute we stole it back as speedway fans we are a minority and it would be nice if there was more posotive posts like this we all need to stick together are try and lift our dying sport

why are you all talking about pa at berwick when this is the WORKINGTON v berwick thread and coments were made about the pa at workington i know you like to make any berwick thread as long as possible but can you not post on your own home match pages where they would be more suited

not sure if there was any music playing as i stand 2nd bend and its been ongoing complaint for a good few years the pa on the 2nd bend is almost useless but out of speedways hands as its controlled by the rugby club and the big problem is 1 off the people in charge of day to day running at the rugby club is and always has been anti speedway even when the rent kept the rugby club alive and helpped clear there debts back in the old days when we had large crowds

real shame that as matt is realy starting to look good round workington

same could be said for workington at berwick but 2 top riders didnt score well last night

i wouldnt think so as football and speewday are 2 different sports and have you seen the size of some of the speedway refs they wouldnt pass the fitness test

wow a speedway fan saying something nice about a fellow cumbrian as a regular at workington im not used to hearing nice coments on thease forums about us up here

wonder who the rumour mongers are as dan confirmed my info was correct but dan also goes on to say that riders are also busy this weekend and also that edinbrugh once again looks like a hard meeting to rearange

along with sheffield really think if a rider is out long term you should only be allowed to use guests for so long then switch to national league guests or replace the rider

cant disagree with this but family dont always make the best advisors

i was led to believe originaly the rugby club made the stadium unavailable for the 22nd as they were supossed to have something on which nolonger apllies and i gat that from a friend off mine who works for the rugny club not from anyone involved with speedway

i have been told by a person in the trade that hes aware of 3 engines currently in development 2 are new designs and the other is basicly a gm or jawa reworked cant remember which it was

well this is a strange one maybe there is something in all the posts sugesting lambertt was witholding his services obviously there is 2 sides now if he was being a pain good on panthers for dropping him there is obviously more to it than just a switch in riders as the statement says this is the last we will say on the subject no rider is bigger than the club/team and lambertt looks like he thinks he is more important than a prem league team

proberbly sounds about right monarchs like to get there meetings in but dont help others who are in with a chance off play offs in previous years

very true but preasure is something all people get in there job how you deal with it defines how good you are in that situation just go with the flow if your best isnt good enough then thats something you have to deal with

ive watched him on tv and online before and seen him twitching and jumping starts as i said only seen him live once didnt say he wasnt

only seen brady ride live with my own eyes once yes hes a decent rider but like many others looks special if he makes (or jumps) the start but if he dosnt make the gate dosnt look anything like as good as for lanham in the 1 meeting ive seen him ride in recent weeks he looks like he can still do a job for someone maybe not be in double figures everyweek but theres plenty like that who are in demand

agree on both points there there has been some very good entertaining meetings

after a few tuff meetings in recent weeks will be interesting to see how the comets handle the redcar bears select far too many teams with multiple riders missing thease days

sadly the crowds are less than 800 who knows the real reasons maybe its just run out of steam but things were not helped when keith denham took over and started to ban people for very little the atmosphere was lost then it started to come back a little but sadly this year there hasnt been much to shout about the whole british speedway has lost something maybe its financial or maybe they need to have a serious look at the team building structure to get evrything competative enough to entertain the fans to a level where people struggle to stay away
