  1. He also rode on Friday fir sirloins giraffe scoring 11 from 5 https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/22343/zielona-ra-ostr-ch-2024
  2. Scotty will not be in the team after Monday. Pawlicki will be at one, milik will be at five. Rest unchanged on Monday, lampart at two, cook at three, Brennan at four Worrall at 5 cook should be back at reserve as from kings Lynn on thursday
  3. Milik thought holder was going straight on, not turning so he put it down to avoid being taken out by holder
  4. Yes… he has already said that he could have made one more change at Oxford…. Cook for flint in heat 14 but as those of us in attendance debated, would that have knocked Leon’s confidence and remember that Leon had won his last race in heat 8 . A hard call… we were doing far better than any of us expected but, which way would you have gone? personally, I was happy to support whichever decision he made because there were pro’s snd cons either way and, he’d already shown he had the nouse and the bottle by dropping milik for Worrall in heat 13
  5. Me !!! expected a tanking but witnessed a spirited performance. With Milik on better form we could have won. well done everyone
  6. I’m going!!! God knows why. Yet another meeting where all I am hoping for is that it isn’t an another total embarrassment like so many of last years meetings were. I won’t hold my breath .
  7. It’s not the 20 point home wins you need to worry about ( we wish!!! ), it’s the 20+ home defeats each week that are more likely to be our concern.
  8. Have to disagree. I’m sure flint, Worrall, Brennan and cook would all have had numerous options. no problem with any of those signings, solid foundations. the success of failure of the team depends 100% on the last two signings.
  9. exactly!!! We need top heat leaders, not second stings or mascots and, we don’t want riders who throw a wobbler every time the track is wet !!!
  10. Even more reason why “flight difficulties” dies not seem a legitimate excuse for Freddie not riding for Birmingham then.
  11. That does not make sense as surely, for the vast majority of the season, he would be riding in Poland on the Sunday afternoon and there are no shortage of flights from Poland to he UK so, no problem getting to Birmingham or, elsewhere for the vast majority of the Monday night fixture making up the majority of the premier league matches across the uk ?
  12. It just says that we mentioned that we would pay the wages if he was available and that he once did four races for us but whilst zmarzlik is not available, his team mates, lindgren snd laguta, are available.
  13. Very healthy and more than enough to see us through next season
  14. The only news possible that would be more important than our racing in the premier league, would be the news that he had secured the land ( and that planning permission looks likely ), to secure our long term future. He told me several times last season that he had several possible sites lined up so, let’s hope .
  15. JJ predicted two announcements which we have now had, one last Wednesday one on Monday , the second one came earlier than predicted. What’s the problem?
  16. I’m not prepared to watch the dross we had to put up with last season. After over 45 years of watching the Brummies, I lost my love for the team towards the end of last season, for the first time ever, I was on the verge of going home before the end if the meeting, several times. There were far too many times when the result was a forgone conclusion by heat five. It was embarrassing and humiliating The way they have watered down the championship yet again. I definitely would not have attended if we had stayed in the championship the thought of watching some of the best riders in the world, does excited me but, not if our team is so weak, we are thrashed every week. If that’s the case, then I will not be attending. I have to use a days holiday from work to attend every match and I’m no longer prepared to give up 80% of my annual leave to watch us getting thrashed every week. my next decision then , would be wether to give up Speedway all together or to watch somewhere else which, would be very hard because my heart belongs to and , is with the Brummies
  17. The three signings already made, are a great start. We have two of the best young British talents in Flint and Brennan and Worrall is a reliable middle order rider who would be an ideal third heat leader. If we sign Zac Cook, then that fits my bill for an upcoming rider with great potential for the future every other team has at least two world class riders and we must match that, to have any hope of having a successful season. That means finding a way of affording the likes of lindgren, lambert or laguta. It means adding riders like jan kvech to complete a solid, competitive top five. I know we negotiated with lindgren but it never came to fruition. I hope the management have looked at the team they had in mind snd have realised they needed to add more fire power so , we await the news with great anticipation snd bated breath.
  18. I respect your right to have different opinion and to express that opinion. That is what forums are for and after all, we all want the team to be the best it can be and for the efforts of the management to be rewarded. I just get miffed when people bang on about not having a team of “has beens “ then get all excited about signing the likes of Zagar or Schlein. I’m not saying Schlein is finished but, he’s well past his best and personally, I’d prefer we sign someone who can progress snd grow with the club over the next few seasons, such as Mateus cuerniak, two times world under 21 champion and future works champion . There are countless young Polish/ Scandinavian riders who would excite me more than Schlein
  19. Yes, club hype. What else do you expect them to put? They understandably chose to ignore the comment I highlighted. first part you quote from my post was about Sam being dull, my opinion , others are entitled to their own opinion. listen to the interview again, Sam clearly states he’s got a lot to learn and again, you can’t expect the club to highlight this comment. you’ve been around long enough to know how the game is played snd to see the bigger picture, not just listen to the hype or maybe , those rose tinted glasses so many people wear, are restricting your vision. i hope Sam is an outstanding manager and guides the Brummies to unbridled success. . Personally, I think we needed someone with much more team managerial experience, such as Alun Rossiter for instance.
  20. Then they are changing their minds and, their plans. As one of the directors said… things constantly change . Let’s hope so as we need genuine top end strength. lindgren and laguta please. Better still… can someone persuade Robert Lambert to sign ✍️
