  1. Vissing’s Swindon average is annotated with a *, signifying an assessed average. Art 16.2.5 of the Speedway Regulations shows that as Vissing doesn’t have an established average in both leagues for 2019 the most recently established average will be used - which will be the CL average.
  2. The final Green Sheets for 2019 on the BSPA site (NOT the averages page), together with Section 16 of the Speedway Regulations, will give you most of the information you need. For riders without a 2019 average Club officials might approach the BSPA office for clarification of the appropriate MA.
  3. That would give too much negotiating power to the Clubs with a large asset base The scale was a simple ‘£ per point’ calculator
  4. I won’t quote figures - the loan fee scale is a confidential BSPA document and I still retain some respect for the organisation. In any event as I wasn’t involved last year I am not privy to the current rates so any figures I quoted may not be accurate - the scale had been unchanged for a number of years during my Promoting days and I knew it off by heart but I believe there was a change in 2019.
  5. 1 - No 2 - The loan fee is paid to the British Club that holds the rider’s registration, it is not connected to their nationality. 3 - Loan fees are indeed based on the rider’s average
  6. A rider with what is perceived to be a ‘bargain’ average might be quite happy to start the season riding for £y (<£x in the 1-5) when he can have a potential seven rides a meeting.
  7. Also available on Readly for subscribers - the best £7.99 monthly I spend! https://gb.readly.com/
  8. Adam lives in Leicestershire now
  9. But minimum rider MA increases from 2 to 3.........
  10. The Ben Fund meeting usually precedes the season start of 15th March. It prevents fixture clashes (both UK and overseas), riders are keen to get on track and fans are keen to see action. That combination should ensure a good line-up, large crowd and lots of money for the SRBF.
  11. As I recall, Jamrog rode in a few early season challenges in 2015 and performed so poorly we replaced him in the Coventry team without him making an official appearance.
  12. The Green Sheets are formally adopted at the AGM, it’s possible that they may have changed since the ‘final’ issue currently on the BSPA site if an error was identified and amended at the AGM. There does appear to be a mismatch in the figures for Adam Ellis, but the official Green Sheet will take priority. ’Gambo’ on this forum produces the spreadsheet that calculates the GSAs, drop him a PM perhaps? EDIT: I see in fact that ‘Gambo’ has posted earlier this evening regarding this EDIT2: Birmingham’s official site is showing 7.96....
  13. Nonsense. Promoters work to the official Green Sheets that you have been pointed to. The other averages on the BSPA site are at best a guide to current form, but have no bearing whatever on team-building, positioning, guests etc.
  14. I don’t believe a >12 average is a bar per se, but it would be a big chunk of the team total
  15. Should reach the play-offs with an eight man team........
  16. There are exceptions to that, and Wethers appears to be an exception - no discount was applied for 2019 on his 2018 final average.
  17. 16.2.3 Riders new to SGB Premiership League racing are categorised as follows: - a) A rider riding in a Professional League in the previous or current season will be assessed on a Grading List. Based upon results obtained in all other Professional Speedway Leagues and given an Assessed MA accordingly. Riders new to SGB Championship League racing are categorised as follows: - b) A rider riding in a professional league in a previous or current season will enter on a 5.00 MA c) A rider who has never ridden in a professional league will enter on a 4.00 MA d) A new rider who is eligible to participate in the NDL will enter on a 2.00 MA 16.2.4 No rider with a current or previously assessed MA, other than a rider in Art. 16.2.3 d), can drop below 4.00 at any time during the season.
  18. Yes, I can think of a few. Chris Harris in particular springs to mind, he is always prepared ready to take a booking at the drop of a hat if it’s possible to get there in time. He’s a professional rider working in a professional way.
  19. Chris Harris was released after the Club ownership changed hands in January 2019. Craig Cook had confirmed that he would ride for Peterborough in 2019, that changed after Ged and myself had left the Club.
  20. The 2019 Panthers were announced in December 2018 - on 4th, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th (two riders)and 20th to be precise..
  21. The reduction isn’t applicable to ALL riders who’ve appeared in the NDL - there are exceptions. The reduction is only applied to the first declaration for the season. It doesn’t apply to the NDL
  22. No. Bradley Wilson Dean for example. The criteria was carefully worded to exclude such riders - a British Passport was required I seem to recall although I can't find the exact ruling at the moment.
  23. Yes, my responses relate to 2018, as they were replies to ‘Poole Bolton’, who repeatedly referred to last year, when it appears he meant this year........
  24. There seems to be a good deal of confusion in this post..... Last year (2018 season) the conversion factor was 1.5 This year (2019 season) the conversion factor was also 1.5 Next season (2020) the conversion factor will be 1.6 Art 16.2.5 of the Speedway Regulations states: The most recently established MA will be used. If a rider has an established MA in both the Premiership and Championship Leagues, established in the same season, that leagues MA will apply to that league.
