  1. That’s my understanding too Dave, and a similar situation applies to Ben Barker.
  2. There has to be a delay in implementing new averages to allow for teams to be declared for meetings, guests booked, programmes printed etc. A new team line-up needs to be at the BSPA for approval 72 hours before becoming valid.
  3. It is possible that revised team declarations have been submitted that have not yet been issued by the BSPA, to take effect prior to 1st May.
  4. As of 1st May the current 1-7 will be just 0.07 under the points limit - http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/premiershipteamissues19
  5. Last year Peterborough went through to the semi-finals from the three team group as 9 match points from 4 matches (2.25) was a better record than the 13 from 6 (2.16) of the other two runners-up.
  6. I can’t answer that - each track homologation differs in its requirements. I suspect that the Showground authorities would be reluctant to have the fence moved in front of the grandstand (or at all) - speedway is only one user of the track and surrounding facilities.
  7. They’re not particularly close, but would be if the fence was moved back. That’s exactly my point!
  8. I was responding to your first post, where you referred to widening on the inside line ‘on the cheap’, by pointing out that there are various permanent Showground fixtures that would have precluded widening the track on the outside - regardless of budget.
  9. The track can’t be widened on the outside because of permanent obstructions outside the fence - such as the grandstand and hospitality areas.
  10. This is all nonsense, as it was when it was raised before. Ged’s account was correct, the first post above is not.
  11. Yes it was, and my dad was the starting marshall. For quite a while my brother-in-law was with us in yellow, and my sister played the music (vinyl in those days).
  12. https://youtu.be/YjG_LavdVpI Note the dapper start-line assistant in blue!
  13. Drew Kemp is ruled out by the magnitude of his average, not the fact it is assessed.
  14. I think the first post clearly answers your question....
  15. Sorry, I ran out of my speedway cards, they had a load of balls on the front...... I was looking for one with a ‘glass quarter full’ for Rodders!
  16. I thought my reply would have met with your approval then, it couldn't have been in plainer english! I would have embellished 'nonsense' with an adjective or two if I'd known - that might have made you feel better :-)
  17. Nonsense Seasons Greetings ‘Wealdstone’! Quite.....
  18. I've just checked - Ben is actually Ged's cousin's son.
  19. Peterborough Panthers 2019 Chris Harris 7.59* Hans Andersen 7.56 Craig Cook 7.54* Bradley Wilson Dean 5.27 Charles Wright 5.14* Lasse Bjerre 4.72 Ben Barker 4.58* Total 42.40 * After 2.5% reduction All averages subject to ratification
  20. That wouldn’t be the case under the rules as they stand, as a rider would then have current averages for both leagues so the appropriate one would apply. Lasse and Ben didn’t have a PL average for 2018 so will start 2019 on a converted CL average - Craig, Chris and Charles do have 2018 PL averages so will use those to start 2019.
  21. The most recently established MA is used, unless a rider has an average from both leagues in the same season when the appropriate average applies. (Art 16.2.7) Spot on, all averages need to be ratified by the BSPA Office in due course
