Nor would we have seen Pedersen win in 2003 or Loram in 2000 or Rickardsson the multiple times he won it. Any system used in the GP's is going to have holes picked in it by someone. Thought it was a rubbish GP tonight bar the odd race with Gollob.

It shouldn't be as political as it is. Top 8 in the final standings go straight through to next years series. Riders 9-15 go to the GP Challenge Meeting. The top 4 from 2 Qualifying Semi-Finals go to the GP Challenge also. That leaves 1 place to go which should go to the rider who finished fifth in the Semi Finals with the higher points total. If 2 riders finish fifth with equal points go on countback. Nominations don't do anything for the credibility of the sport but then again nobody qualifies to race for an F1 or MotoGP team do they. They are hand picked.

Yep...only 3 heats completed on the televised fixture before that big blade thingy came out. Only 2 matches have started in Sweden so far. MasarnaAvesta Vs Rospiggarna and Indianerna Vs Smederna. With my Swedish being non existent I'm unsure if the other meetings are still on or not.

Why won't they? They scored 36 on Saturday on a track which, I think, none of them ride regularly. Sajfutdinov doesn't even ride in the Ekstraliga and he was their best rider. We scored 25.5 on a track all 5 of the team are either current or former riders of. There's every chance Russia will beat us on Thursday.
