  1. polish tv do a highlights show on a sunday night after the 2 matches shown live showing about 5 heats from all the extraleague matches that day and have a couple of guests in the studio each week and they also put a couple of features about riders or tracks or subjects within the sport and it works very well , its well presented is a must watch even if you don't have a clue what they are saying except if an English speaking rider is on it but and to me it is a but the polish tv company is very good a capturing what an exciting sport speedway can be ,they seem to know where to put camera's to get the best shot etc and imo that's what sky or bt or whoever should be looking to if they put a highlights programme together ,if something happens in polish match the camera and the comentators are on it , they rarely miss a trick ,yet in british tv meetings I find myself screaming at the tv because something happens and its either missed or glossed over
  2. Hi, Can anyone help me out with details of the fixtures that did't happen due to the closure of Skegness in either or both of the above seasons ? I know that in '97 the fixtures were taken over by the Isle of Wight and in '98 by King's Lynn (as the Norfolk Braves) but what I'm after is details of the fixtures that Skegness (as Skegness) didn't fulfill. Many thanks I was in the last fixture in 97 at Skegness ,it was Skegness v long Eaton , we got there unloaded bikes in pits and then there was a massive thunderstorm and the place was flooded about an hour before the start so the meeting never took place , I believe they moved to another track the next week
  3. While all this save the stadium is going on the real issue of why the track is not running needs to be addressed or more to the point who is the reason it's not running , it's no good guessing , there are people out there who know where the problem is but are not saying , you could be focusing all your efforts on to the wrong people , people need to speak up , get to the root of the problem and then you might be able to make inroads about getting Coventry back
  4. you don't need a box just an Amazon firestick and you load kodi on yourself, the video to load them is on YouTube, you don't pay over the odds for them you buy them off amazon
  5. those dodgy traders would be Amazon then , cause you can get a stick from them and add the rest yourself free of charge , so if as you say kodi fails you still have your perfectly working firestick
  6. tai is a winner because he has what it takes and what works for him and that is fine but it obviously doesn't work for everyone , it's no bother to me if it's tried or not and yes being the best does rub people up the wrong way but just being the best individual doesn't make you the best team player
  7. its a damming insight into the world of woffinden , it works for him and that's great but to inflict it on everybody else is blinkered and pig headed , there is no i in team but there is in tai , the riders in GB are what they are and going down the tai route isn't going to change that .if the riders really thought tai's way was the way for them then there is nothing stopping them doing it individually
  8. Great rider but tai is out for tai and not that he f***ing cares but he is not as popular as he thinks he is and divides opinion like no other rider
  9. Bring in a harder compound tyre so the engines Rev more and blow up and then the riders can all go and buy a shiny new GTR , hell of a business plan 😉
  10. Time to move on now from this sorry and damaging saga, what's done is done time to make belle vue the success it should be
  11. Just been reading Torquay united forum and it doesn't fill you with hope , GI want the current stadium for houses and are promising a new stadium (sound familiar ?) and as one person said "gaming international has been around for 80years in one shape or another , their entire history is based on buying sports clubs and f***ing them over for personal gain " also read a bit from Swindon greyhounds and their fans are asking why no work is going on
  12. if it ever does get built I don't think it's going to big enough to have any other sports , it's basically with a bit over the current car park , if they put a greynound track there too I think the speedway is going to be the size of mildenhal
  13. its not just riders owed money there are plenty of riders who owe money and even a couple of cases of riders declaring themselves bankrupt owing a lot of money and it wasn't like they hadn't been paid
  14. I don't rubbish your comments I read them with interest, I was just saying that you seem to have an axe to grind with your old man and would you still be so open if you were involved in the sport not whoever was in charge, my point in all this is some things are better kept out of the public
  15. while transparency maybe seen a good thing , be honest would the sport in its present form run if everything was out in the open ? As I said there are a few on here who know what goes on and have to bite there lip including yourself , you may be talking now as you apear to have an axe to grind with your old man but would you be so open if you were still involved ?
  16. the bspa tell you everything they want you to hear and in a lot of cases that can be a good thing , there is a few on here that know what goes on , not just at belle vue but in general speedway and sometimes it's best kept secret
  17. its not just belle vue and it's not just riders , this is widespread in speedway but speedway continues to bury its head and pretend all is rosey
  18. The empty looking stadium for a tv match is the problem , I watch a polish match on a Sunday and see 17,000 zeilona gora fans buzzing and even before the bikes are on the frack I want to be there , a crowd attracts a crowd attracts a crowd ,for a tv match instead of sky paying the promotors a fee sky should take over the pay for that match and make it free to attend , get the place full and people will look in on tv and think that looks fun I want to go and experience some live speedway
  19. Just got message off wolves historian to say he was a second halfer at wolves in 77 and rode for a wolves team in Sweden in that year
  20. I can't say I've ever of him or find any records of him on rider database , maybe he second half rider ?
  21. it says on the report the current stadium is to be demolished in September , wonder if that deadline will be met ?
  22. does anybody understand the rules these days ?
