  1. he also said he saw it coming 5 seconds before , so why didn't he cut back ? Also watching it back Freddie doesn't go that close to woffinden and even if he did it's the world championship and he is there to win , not make friends or help out a fellow rider which is something woffinden seems to expect , I notice woffy not saying a word to holder when he closes the door to him on the back straight when they met
  2. ok so if this is to be the way forward although jawa could produce something for 1/2 the price then rules need to be put in place so as you can only use holomagated parts (piston rod valves and springs )and no machining of those parts allowed , all porting has to be as standard design , standard flywheels set at a certain weight , choice of 2 cams , basically it has to stay a GTR engine , take out the tuners sourcing their own parts and fitting them , the tuning angle of the sport no matter how fascinating it is to some and I'm one is doing nothing for the sport at all ,the majority of fans don't care , speedway isn't a motorbike sport it's a team sport on bikes
  3. probably because in the GP and in Poland and Sweden fork covers a provided by team or bsi
  4. Sad to hear this , always loved riding there in its NL days , hope someone out there can wave their magic wand over the place
  5. A genuine question here , how come it was £20+ to watch the u21 at kings Lynn but was only £4 to watch the same meeting with the same riders at gdansk ? I know In poland the cost of living is a lot cheaper but the riders and officials are still paid the same and 75% of the crowd in gdansk were brits so basically all that was different was the.venue so my question is why couldn't they charge £4 to get in kings Lynn ?
  6. as sarcastic as this post is it pretty much sums it up but I've been banging my head against a brick wall for so long over this , I posted a easy solution to costs proberly 2 years ago on here but hey ho because of my love of the sport I won't say I told you so when painfully we are forced to change
  7. i think the key words there is "major service" so it has had rings , bearings etc ,it may be a slight step up from GMs reliability but it is not the answer to speedway's ever declining fan base and it's ever deepening money debt and until someone somewhere opens their eyes to where we are heading there is no hope
  8. From the financial point of view of Torun the 4 wild cards should be British
  9. if it wasn't for British fans there wouldn't of been a crowd , not sure why the poles didn't support the event it was only £4 to get in , the racing wasn't great , the track is too square and narrow especially going into the bends and the rider behind has to wait to turn in before making his move , but to be honest I loved being there and Poland is a fabulous country to visit and to see so many brits over there was great
  10. Bit of a balls up with ticket scanners getting in to the stadium not working , a couple of hundred people missed the first couple of races cause of it
  11. Yes we driving over , catching ferry now , staying in kostrzyn and Bydgoszcz , going up gdansk on Sunday coming back Monday , love Torun ,the stadium may not be the biggest but it by far the best stadium by a long way
  12. I think his team didn't quite live up to his expectations but then again I'm a leszno fan and they didn't live up to buxtons expectations 😳
  13. no we have nothing like that in GB , here we have a team sport with no team identity that is down to the last hardcore supporters 🙁
  14. but they put up the money for the euro championship or are we talking about one being reasonable and the other not
  15. It's because 5+ 9-2 divided by a sunny day in 2003 and any other rubbish that speedway can come up with because it's too simple just to have an average with no ifs no butts that is there in black and white that can not be disputed by anyone and everyone understands , it's needs to be complicated because it's speedway
  16. he said they run out of beer and bottled water , no ticket reading machines so in theory just could of photocopied a ticket and got in ,what would of happened had German riders not had spare tyres? And who was to blame for the tyres no show , it wasn't an oversight ,fans bringing fireworks in , I've asked this before but I will ask again , why not gustrow ? To me this smacks of doing things on the cheap , maybe one sport should take over the GPs ? They seem to have fresh ideas and the sponsors to back their ideas , they just lack the prestige of the competition , they even have a logo for their product
  17. if that were the case why not say that before final 6 and when you do withdraw why say because it was taking to long but whatever the reasons lets here them
  18. Maybe the speedway star could give Jim McGregor a chance to tell his side and why he turned the job down , might be worth a read
  19. Talking to a friend who went , he said apart from the meeting itself the rest was a shambles and he said squashed like sardines in a tin for an hour and a half to get through 1 gate was beyond a shambles ,
  20. Don't understand polish but it says 20 zlotys , £4 ? Is that right ?
  21. to.be fair the opposition riders are given a hard time by the home fans , watching the final yesterday the home riders were waving to the fans but the gorzow riders kept their heads down after the race but at the end of the meeting the the home fans left the stadium and the 1000 away fans were kept back and all their team went over to them , as a measure of how much the opposition give riders a hard time , in the gorzow GP when Jason Doyle won , he walked back to the pits in front of us and he took some right abuse from 3/4 of the stadium simply as he rides for Zielona gora , no other reason ,
