  1. one thing that is crystal clear on all this is that monster joe should be banned from entering the pits during a meeting , it should of been done a long time ago , you cant have a sponsor of a few riders openly acting like a chimp in the middle of what is supposed to be a professional pit area, he has no right to be there , last night I spoke to a member of the FIM who said in his opinion greg's actions were obvious but he doubted it was greg's idea, so it was obvious where he thought that idea had come from
  2. The agm should be about 1 thing ,not enough people coming to watch = ideas to address this issue . Changing the format and rules isn't going to bring a single person through the gate , I firmly believe the starting point is price , you won't tempt anybody if you overprice your product , yes I've heard all the "we can't do this cause this costs this" etc , we'll change the pay structure of the sport then , painfull short term gain long term or stay as we are bury our heads and everyone can not get paid , if rumours are true £200,000 is owed to riders, suppliers and track owners and still we carry on like all is well
  3. there are a few things but you have to convince the riders and tuners of it and well it would be easier to convince the queen to have a skid
  4. Whatever the machinery solution is it must have big flywheels cause the nature of speedway requires them and neither the Honda experiments or the current f2 idea has them
  5. I believe buster has the balls for radical change and a way forward however he has to convince all the promotors of his vision and it won't be an instant reward fix and I believe they would kick him out before going for his ideas
  6. personally if there was to be another British GP I would rather up was up in some stadium around Edinburgh / Glasgow but I just think another on would detract from Cardiff so happy with one
  7. i agree but Britain is the second biggest money on the GP circus with Cardiff and to a point Torun, apart from Poland I would say Britain has the highest number of traveling fans to other GPs
  8. Are bsi thinking the future ,vaclav milik, Robert lambert or a young pole , excitement Nicki pedersen greg Laguta or commercial any pole and a Brit , lots of brits go to Torun , would that take a hit if there was no other Brit apart from woofy and he isn't the most popular Brit ever
  9. Well done to zmarlick , excellent achievement in your first year GP
  10. Good to see the sport does have some integrity even if monster and certain riders don't
  11. Monster manipulating the results , come on the poles
  12. Not sure why Hancock helped out holder there but clearly did
  13. Kildermand should of gone there , perhaps he was unsettled by he mini straight half way round the corner
  14. Does anybody else find max clegg riding for wolves just wrong , this is nothing personal against max clegg just how did we get to the point where a spoon also rides for wolves . Its bad enough that they squat at our home , It's just wrong
  15. to be fair sliding a speedway bike is fairly easily , once you have the confidence it's extremely easy however doing it at speed and with 3 other idiots who you are convinced are trying to kill you makes it a little more difficult
  16. riders haven't been ripped off by tuners after all it's the riders that want the extra speed/performance so the tuners are just doing what riders ask but the free for all that tuners have has pushed the prices up and up , apart from 500cc and 4 valves tuners are pretty much unregulated in what they can do and basically the parts they use are to get the best performance rather than reliability from them but if parts were made for reliability and holomagated and no machine work was allowed on the parts so everyone had to use them , no one would have an advantage and costs of parts could be set accordingly , I have been a rider , mechanic and done pretty much done everything in speedway but my thoughts these days are from a fan point of view and my concerns are for the future of the sport , I don't just pluck these ideas out of thin air , I ask questions from both sides of the fence , if I'm off the mark then fine , I have no axe to grind with any individual in the sport , I just want to see a future in the sport and one other point I would like to make is i have no financial intrest in any of my thoughts/proposals so I can't really be biased towards any solution or idea and that can't be said of other people who have had their say over the last couple of seasons , I believe the sport has come to the end if it's financial system and a new financial structure is needed and everyone from riders mechanics and tuners are going to feel like they are being hard done too but it's got to happen with the end result being a cheaper sport for fans to attend
  17. then why won't you say anything against the tuners ? They are the cancer that is eating away at the sports finances , pushing and pushing the limits and making speedway like a poor mans f1 and speedway never was and never will be an engineers sport
  18. and that is the current real issue , even NL riders are having to spend £1000s just to get on a level playing field , go back 12 or so years and you average joe with the right tools could make a competitive engine for the premier and even mid elite league but now its spend £1000s with Peter johns or similar or forget it , I had this very discussion last night with a couple of polish riders and they were telling me about kildermand who is a top rider but this year he has struggled to hit form not because he has become a bad rider but because his tuner who he used for a long time isn't one of the tuners who have found the magic touch and he is not the only rider by a long way and right there is the very thing speedway needs to get away from , it shouldnt matter who does the engine , as I said 12 or so years ago it didn't matter but the.current road is a dangerous road for the sport to go down
  19. and how such a simple team building idea works for polish speedway and it's own riders
  20. it was something that a guy from BMW made a few years ago and Tobias kroner rode it in a couple of meetings , the ignition system was way to complicated but the engine itself seemed to go ok and adam said it was quite reliable too
  21. except the price of the tuning and its parts have rocketed in the last 10 years or so and speedway can no longer afford to subsidise it , so something has got to give , any better ideas than cut out the tuners ? Interesting to note too that Adam skornicki rode a German engine in the Olympic at wolves tonight and had a couple of race wins on it , the engine was a few years old too
  22. in theory its a good idea but the reality of it is not , all that will happen is the tuners will have to re tune the engines to suit , different cams, flywheels ,maybe different heads etc just like what happened with the silencer change and the rider ends up paying again and yet again the tuner is the winner , what ever the idea the tuner input has to be reduced to servicing , its not easy because they will always find a little something but a nearly level playing field is better than the lop sided one that currently dictates speedway, if the hard tyre were introduced and for instance all riders had to use the GTR and all the parts were holomagated and no machine work to any part of the engine were allowed so basically the engine had to stay as it came out the factory then the hard tyre would work but with the current free for all on engines and tuning it would just be the tuners who benifit
  23. if you think I'm wrong then you need a speedway history lesson, some of the riders around in the 70s make today's riders look like pussycats ,
  24. I actually think if you balloted all riders about the dirt deflectors , they would vote 90% to scrap them but I would say that as I have an agender 🙄
  25. no he didn't , speedway is a tough game , it used to be worse than it is now but it's no picnic now , if you don't like it don't ride , lindgren was hard but if you want to be the best that's how you have to be, cooks reaction was to a point understandable and it was good to see he was genuinely distraught at the end , it showed it mattered unlike another member of the team who quite clearly couldn't of cared less
