  1. to.be fair the opposition riders are given a hard time by the home fans , watching the final yesterday the home riders were waving to the fans but the gorzow riders kept their heads down after the race but at the end of the meeting the the home fans left the stadium and the 1000 away fans were kept back and all their team went over to them , as a measure of how much the opposition give riders a hard time , in the gorzow GP when Jason Doyle won , he walked back to the pits in front of us and he took some right abuse from 3/4 of the stadium simply as he rides for Zielona gora , no other reason ,
  2. I'll give you Warsaw but gorzow was 90% gorzow league fans and Torun is really popular with all the nations and that includes Brits , it just seems they back the SEC more than the GP , sponsors too
  3. The polish fans seem to support the SEC more than they do the SGP , is it a price thing ?
  4. Not sure it's the daftest but it was a bizarre one that had me puzzled , around 2002- 2005 I kept seeing in southern programmes I was referred to as the " Widnes whirlwind " no idea what it meant or where it came fromas I'd never been to Widnes in my life , I just got used to it for a couple of years .I decided to find out and asked Derek Barclay who was doing the programme notes at southern tracks , he informed me he thought I was from Widnes ? Why? Anybody who has met me (Derek had) knows I have a Black Country accent I think he said he got me mixed up with a relative of his wife ?, we still refer to it
  5. It's more than just cause it's leagle ,(Christ I'm banging my head against a brick wall )the issue in all this is how it's gets to this point , he achieves an average and that should be the end of it no ifs no buts it's an average and that's what he comes in at but in speedway that doesn't matter anymore cause he hasn't rode here for years , so what? That's his average , no grey areas that's it , the whole system is flawed and open to abuse , it's pathetic and that's what needs to be addressed and that will never happen while the same old faces and their sympathisers self rule , can't anybody within speedway see what all this crap is doing to the credibility of speedway ? I will enlighten you , it's killing it, I like Neil , he is a good man and he is exactly the person that the SCB "want"
  6. I didn't say Neil was a bad choice , I just wanted to know if anybody from outside the current circle was put forward so get off your high horse and don't assume
  7. ok the top 5 are all considered in the circle , were there any other candidates ?
  8. Did anybody on here or know of anybody who is not in the current speedway clique that applied for the job ?
  9. So who can pull off the biggest ringer for the playoffs , is Ole Olsen still availible ?
  10. I've been looking to get my Jap frame chromed and the prices are ridiculous , I've gone with a company in Walsall , it's cost me £325 for frame and forks but there is 6 week wait , some prices were double that and some just were not interested in doing it , I even tried a company in Poland but it was same price
  11. gustrow ? Better track same area same fans , no brainier
  12. I think adverse cambers get created naturally when the track isn't an outside line track
  13. but when you say the outside its nowhere near the fence like it is at other tracks , on Monday woofy and howarth both went too fast into corner went up the banking and over the camber and lost a position
  14. Saw a video of the stadium yesterday , not exactly inspiring , we toyed with the idea of going but happy we decided not to in the end , can't understand why they didn't hold German round in other German track ?anyway hope the racing is good and the German fans create good atmosphere
  15. the reason why nobody goes round the fence at wolves is because the banking only goes 3/4 of the track and then the camber goes the other way like rye house does , I was talking to a rider in the changing rooms a couple of weeks back about he always went well round wolves but lately he doesn't seem to go so well there and he said he didn't like the track anymore cause of the adverse camber on the outside
  16. I thought it was a 50/50 incident , both had a legit claim but the rule says someone has to go and on this occasion lindgren got the nod , in general I thought Newman was pushed very hard in a few first corners last night but he rode determined and kept coming out on top
  17. I won't be looking for any money back , yes the meeting was a dissapointment but we still had a great weekend in Poland and I don't believe in this compensation culture
  18. I heard last night that one of the former owners and still part owner wants to make leszno home grown riders only and they don't need the likes of pedersen , sayfutinov , kilderman etc , well that's all well and good in theory but isn't that what old man Gollob has tried to do at Bydgoszcz ? And everyone can see how that's working out
