  1. I think adverse cambers get created naturally when the track isn't an outside line track
  2. but when you say the outside its nowhere near the fence like it is at other tracks , on Monday woofy and howarth both went too fast into corner went up the banking and over the camber and lost a position
  3. Saw a video of the stadium yesterday , not exactly inspiring , we toyed with the idea of going but happy we decided not to in the end , can't understand why they didn't hold German round in other German track ?anyway hope the racing is good and the German fans create good atmosphere
  4. the reason why nobody goes round the fence at wolves is because the banking only goes 3/4 of the track and then the camber goes the other way like rye house does , I was talking to a rider in the changing rooms a couple of weeks back about he always went well round wolves but lately he doesn't seem to go so well there and he said he didn't like the track anymore cause of the adverse camber on the outside
  5. I thought it was a 50/50 incident , both had a legit claim but the rule says someone has to go and on this occasion lindgren got the nod , in general I thought Newman was pushed very hard in a few first corners last night but he rode determined and kept coming out on top
  6. I won't be looking for any money back , yes the meeting was a dissapointment but we still had a great weekend in Poland and I don't believe in this compensation culture
  7. I heard last night that one of the former owners and still part owner wants to make leszno home grown riders only and they don't need the likes of pedersen , sayfutinov , kilderman etc , well that's all well and good in theory but isn't that what old man Gollob has tried to do at Bydgoszcz ? And everyone can see how that's working out
  8. Excelent atmosphere inside the stadium, decent racing with an Excelent final , wish we had speedway stadiums like this , their design is so basic but they look so good , thought Jim Laurence was going to need a police escort out of the stadium for what was a shocking decision to exclude zarmarlik , the poles were not happy don't know what they were chanting but it's wasn't well done Jim
  9. that washer even in the modified version of the King silencer makes a total difference in the bikes power/ performance What all this does show is the wider issue that speedway is hurtling down an exclusive tuning based only sport road like F1 where the riders don't matter and it's all about the engine , speedway has never been that type of sport and it will kill it off completely if it continues on this path
  10. yes his food is garbage But you don't go to belle vue to eat you go to watch speedway and you don't go to Gordon Ramsey's rant to watch speedway ,if I booked a table in his restaurant and he tried to charge me to watch speedway on a tv screen there I would kick off and yes we do take our own popcorn to the cinema, it's not the food that's puts me off bv , it's anything with health and safety strapped to it , it's just not for me
  11. and it business is to entertain the public , without them it has no business
  12. What a strange decision to award pawlicki the nod over vaculick , ??
  13. And right there is everything that is wrong with speedway , stupid rules
  14. Stuart Robson has one , I did hear he is not to impressed with his purchase
  15. if I'm honest i'm fed up with him , he is what he is and he does get headlines for the sport good or bad but quite frankly I couldn't care less if he rides for team GB or not , he has his views rightly or wrongly but he isn't my cup of tea and yes british speedway does need him but we will carry on if he is a part of it or not
  16. Personally I would bring in milik for kylmakorpi , it may not make up for losing out in the playoffs but he is exciting / wild to watch and has been banging some big scores abroad lately
  17. next season there is talk of the FIM introducing a minimum bike and rider weight instead of just bike to address that exact issue
  18. while all these ideas have a valid point they all have the same end result , the rider spends money on parts with the tuner to get round this , it has to be regulated parts/engine only then the tuner can only play with settings
  19. while i agree about the principle of tyres the reality is it won't achieve anything cause tuners will just try to get the best out of their engines to suit the tyre so riders will be buying new softer cams ,flywheels etc and paying for experimenting with the tuners so basically winner winner for the tuner , the sport needs to eliminate the tuner , regulated parts in a regulated engine ,find a set of springs , valves , piston ,rod , cam that works and lasts and everybody has to use them , is that so hard ?
  20. on the subject of engine tuning ,it is become obvious that peter johns engine tuning has got a big edge over any of his rivals this season and riders not using his service are struggling, now that's great business for him but it is doing speedway no favours at all and now more than ever this issue of tuners needs to be addressed, the tuner is not what fans care about, they care about the rider, the need for the tuner has got to be reduced to just a servicer , it can be done with good leadership and strict rules ,has anybody in the current set up got the balls to take the challenge on, they will need balls to because riders and tuners will kick and scream before they agree to any change
  21. I do wonder though if their is more to this than riders form or talent
