  1. I’m under no illusion it goes on but the higher up the sport you go the harder it is to get away with it because of the checks that go on but it’s very rare for it to be the actual engine these days
  2. It wasn’t oversized, it was the first GM engine which was far superior to the weslake/godden or Jawa that was used at the time and it was pretty much the end for those 3 manufacturers, the mk1 GM was a very quick engine but was very unreliable with rocker arms and conrods breaking frequently
  3. No they don’t but as I see it woffinden at his worst is still better than pretty much anyone who is availible to replace him, I think he will go to somewhere like ostrow and it will rejuvenate him and it will come back to haunt Wrocław, the talk is Michelllsen to replace him, well his form has gone missing on many occasions for Częstochowa in recent seasons
  4. He is already the best reserve in the polish extraleague and if rumours are true he is one of the highest paid too, he will get to the top if he stays injury free, world champ well that’s a one in thousand but a future GP rider and round winner I think yes
  5. The bikes are less forgiving these days and you have such a small optimal useable range that outside that range the bike is uncompetitive and it’s reading things like that you think well why don’t we make the engines like we had before where it was competitive without a limited range, well the answer is because the sport is run by the riders for the riders via the tuners and it’s quite the little cartel they have going and turkeys don’t vote for Xmas
  6. Think Gorzow can lay the blame firmly at Wozniak.’s door, for a GP rider his form over the 2 legs has been abysmal
  7. He needs to up his game but listening to crowds reaction to woffinden Wrocław would be crazy to get rid of him
  8. And most are there because it’s their team not because it’s speedway, it’s tribalism and it’s the very foundation of any team sport but the concept is lost on British speedway
  9. Weird crash that one, it like half way round the corner he forgot how to ride and didn’t decide to actually turn until he was a few feet from the fence
  10. There isn’t really a thing called “the set up” they are all within a tweet or two from being somewhere near, it’s just a trendy thing to say these days, different riders have different set ups, bikes that ride well one day more often than not won’t work the next day on the same track with the same bike set up, when you hear a professional say they don’t have the right set up after their second ride it means they were crap but are too vain to say it, it’s bs like saying p1 or p2 when first or second, it’s just modern speak
  11. Got to admit can’t stand her either, she also does polish league for eleven sport
  12. I don’t know this a fact but what I have been told is jacks mechanic quit and left the bikes not ready for belle vue and jack has to do them himself but like I said I don’t know if that’s fact
  13. I think it’s about the flex of the tube and the bottom tube won’t flex a much as a normal tube so making the bike want to go straight line quicker
  14. This is the jhr rear end, not the best photo but you get the idea
  15. I’ve never tried one but the bottom tube is like a square tube design so I would imagine it makes the bike drive more but and this is my opinion only it makes the bike very unpredictable on less than perfect tracks.3 riders who use them are lambert, Doyle and lindgren who are all very fast this year but have randomly had moments where the bike has just taken off in the middle of the corner but I suppose if I they feel it works 90% of the time it’s worth the risk in their mind, traction control is banned in speedway so they are trying to sort of create it with frame modifications, I know zmarzlik has brought a lot of them but isn’t using them at moment and well he is world champion so do they work ?
  16. Unfortunately “the set up “ is more and more important these days to the point now where even in British speedway if you don’t have it close you won’t even be competitive and that’s sad
  17. Eddie Kennett was made an example of with the silencer by the scb, everyone was at it
  18. It’s near on impossible to cheat at World Cup or GP level, not saying it hasn’t happened but most are just looking for an advantage within the rules(like the current trend of jhr rear frames)but I think people mistakenly confuse speedway with other motorbike sports, more power doesn’t mean more wins, it means more wheel spin and the slicker the track the more you will go nowhere, power means nothing if you can’t get the rear wheel to grip,,take the example of smolinski in earlier post he cheated by pulling a wire apart mid race but it didn’t make his bike have more power it made it less power and the back wheel to hook up better on the slick track, the difference with polish riders and their ability to adapt is their training from an early age on how a bike works, most polish riders can strip and rebuild engines, a lot of British youngsters don’t understand the importance of having a clean air filter
