  1. Maybe but it could be the thing that gets a lifeline at the end of the season for Birmingham when the dogs move out
  2. While I agree largely with that, I find it strange that entain have never said a word about the situation at monmore, regarding the speedway or it future, we can all speculate about their intentions but we have heard nothing directly from them, as a stadium it’s in the financial interest to use the stadium as much as possible, they still doing the functions there as well as greyhounds and the speedway is of no inconvenience to their greyhound operation and with the rent and the bar/Resturant takings for what was 5 hours a week I would of thought it was a nice little earner for the stadium, however I’ve read that the people who made the decision are no longer there ? Entain are a huge company but are not exactly clean when it comes to finance, hence the huge fines they got last year for wrong doings, we as a club have done nothing to try to get us back at monmore and something doesn’t feel right to me about the whole thing
  3. I don’t believe they would lose money short term but that’s the point it’s a short term solution, the track has completely gone at monmore, only the pits and the changing room remains but while the stadium is still there people change, plans change, entain have never once said why we are out, what’s their plans? What’s behind their thinking ? We can all speculate but the fact is we don’t know, they could argue it’s none of our business what their plans are but we could argue with the council this is our city and we deserve to know
  4. Well at last a statement from wolves and it’s as predicted not a positive one, so what’s the next move because as we stand wolves are finished with no prospects on the horizon, is there a short term fix until a longer term solution is reached somewhere, track sharing with Birmingham, alternate Mondays ? A move to Buxton?(60miles ) the track is still there unused, would attract former stoke and Buxton fans too, not ideal solution by any stretch but something cause at the moment that something isn’t there, one other thing I would like to see is entain actually state the door is firmly shut at monmore because until now they have said nothing and even when it was announced that wolves were out that statement came via wolves not from entain themselves, as we stand we don’t know anything about entains intentions for the stadium, something that grates on me is the lack of fight for monmore, it has from day one and I know I’m not the only one
  5. Again it’s not the point the guy was making, I understand and I’m sure everyone understands the pitfalls etc of booking something but that’s not why he doesn’t have sympathy for people who have booked
  6. I sort of got that, I don’t agree but hey each to their own
  7. Outside the rent of the stadium, the biggest cost is the laying of the track
  8. I don’t think that’s the point he is making (getting money back )
  9. thanks for your usual constructive comments, are you iris’s twin
  10. At least fans will get to travel through the spectacle that is longsight not once but twice now, I know Wiktor Lampart was taken back by his first drive through there
  11. You don’t matter, have you learnt nothing from being a speedway fan
  12. Utter rubbish, their costs are a 1/4 of Cardiff, if they were selling Cardiff tickets for £20 then the CAN sell belle vue for that but they won’t
  13. Why not they were selling Cardiff tickets for that, they have reduced their costs by more than half so why not ? But I agree they won’t and so I won’t be going
  14. Buxton’s track is still available, I will attend 1 of the GPs at belle vue if it £25 or less per ticket otherwise no
  15. Cradley had some talks with Moseley rugby club last year which showed promise but after a couple of months and meetings it suddenly went cold on the Moseley side for whatever reason
  16. Since the forum has had it rebranding, I don’t get notifications of if someone has responded, quoted or even like to a post anymore,I have to search through the topic to see if anyone has, have I got something switched off ? You used to get a number the side of the bell to tell you and you could click on it to see the notification but that’s gone now ?
  17. Don’t underestimate the gaming industry, they have their feet well and truly under the agenda 2030 table
  18. And you know that because ??? Yep you are guessing because you have heard nothing, wolves need to make it official, let fans and any potential new promoters that there may be know that the current promotion have hit a dead end if they the case, one of speedways issues over the years is it’s my ball and if I can’t play with it then nobody else can, not saying this applies here but it does smack of it
  19. Think you may have jumped the start there mate and gone a bit early 😉 but anyway same to you
  20. Exactly, there are rumours all over the place, most are I presume unfounded but some are coming from not so much the horses mouth as the horses ear lobes but nothing official and that to me is contempt for the loyal fans, the thing they posted on social media yesterday looked like they were taken by surprise by the council notes, if the campaign to get wolves back is going nowhere then come out and say so
  21. Wolves have posted this on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/share/1EC4thdu6q/?mibextid=WC7FNe
