Peterborough Panthers 2017

Hope you're wrong there. Would be an awful signing. I'm not even sure he's ever rode Owlerton before. -
Surely that can't be right? It'd be strange to introduce a rule that'd benefit so few.

Because if you're having a guest at home you get +5% on the riders average, bringing Dimitri normal average of 6.91 to 7.26. So Robbo could guest for Berge in the first leg but not the second. -

Don't talk rubbish. Majority of that meeting was ftg. Yeah, they were "close" to passing sometimes through the race, but it's still just as boring to watch. And that's all that meeting was, an absolute boring drawn out meeting. -
Gappmaier has signed. Will he cone on a 5 or 7?
-
Sounds a promising talent and should be more of a long term signing, seems like he was attracting interest from Edinburgh at the start of the season. Just feel like he's gonna really need to hit the ground running, the last thing Berwick need is to be carrying a reserve or they'll really struggle and could find their season over before its even started.

Wrong thread. -
"Romano, provided he gets approval to start his British career from the Dutch authorities, and the BSPA approve Berwick’s amended line-up, will assume an assessed match average of 5.00, which will be adjust after he completed four home matches, plus another four away." I thought assessed riders didn't drop below a 5 now?

What an absolute load of tosh. It's this sort of attitude that will be the death of speedway. It encourages promotions to be lazy and stick to the norm without making changes. Seriously, if anyone feels they aren't getting value for money at their track then vote with your wallet, it's the only way a lot of ways to make change happen for the better. -
Is it really that hard to get matching colours? I get that riders have different manufacturers, but surely a bit of communication can be there so they look remotely similar.

Please tell me they're not seriously going with the logo they've got on their website as part of their rebranding? -

Smart idea to tie fans into a season ticket, horrendous idea to attract any new supporters. -
Bit odd to see Paco leave as an asset. Overall though i think Ipswich have built a fairly solid team, should be one challenging at the top especially if Kerr can get going quick.
-
That is a massive loss for us. Arthur was one of the riders who could've gone on to have a great season, especially with a good run at reserve. Just hope we can fit him in somewhere along the line when he's fully fit.
-
1. Simon Stead 2. Arthur Sissis 3. Josh Auty 4. Josh Bates 5. Jason Garrity 6. Paco Castagna 7. Nathan Greaves 3 exciting heat leaders and a former tiger too. Wouldn't personally want that team but just an example. Can't see Auty leaving Scunny though, he seemed pretty confident he'd be staying Scunthorpe and wouldn't expect anything less.
-
Shame that Proctor won't be back. Would be handy on such a low average but can understand why the promotion would be hesitant after last season.

I really just put any of those 4 of examples of how it could be filled. Fully expect Skidmore & Worrall to be elsewhere but they were just half decent examples. Bellego could be a real possibility i think.
-
So from whats been said on here Berwick are basically looking at a team of- 1. Jorgensen 7.80 2. Mellgren 5.57 3. Doolan 6.95 4. rider up to 6.85-R.Worrall 6.84/Skidmore 6.84/Bellego 5.98 5. Alden 7.37 6. Wethers 4.96 7. Carr 3
-
Well, that's Paco out then! Shame but it's not the biggest loss. I'm pretty happy with how the new rule has worked out definitely suits our sort of team building for next season. Now we know the rules, let the speculation begin! 1. Simon Stead 10.41 2. Adam Ellis 4.55 3. Ty Proctor 6.68 4. Josh Bates 5.44 5. Jason Garrity 8.46 6. Arthur Sissis 3.71 7. Wajtknecht/Perks/Greenwood 3 42.25
-
And yet Paco outscored both Wajtknecht & Ayres in our challenge meeting against Cradley...
-
I'd say that's exactly what you need, that's if you actually want to bother proving your point...My point is are Branford and Clegg ambitious signings? You can't have it all with the points limit and Edinburgh proved it can work this season. One signing doesn't make a team, especially at reserve and if we can fill the rest of the spots with quality then we can afford to carry a rider like Paco. For me anyways if we could run with team of- 1.Kurtz 2.Bates 3.Proctor 4.Bellego/Jonas Andersen/Birks 5.Garrity 6.Sissis 7.Paco/Wajtknecht/Who'swinnin86's amazing rider who's on an average of 3.50 or less who'll win us the league - then we should do just fine.
-
Where's your suggestions then? Let's be realistic, if we're gonna run with Stead, Kurtz or Garrity we're going to have to run with weaker reserve. More than likely two 3 pointers. Edinburgh have run all season without a stellar reserve pairing and have one of their best seasons. I can't see how a pairing of Arthur & Paco is that bad of a sacrifice to strengthen the rest of the team.
